On arrival, and having scaled the flight of stairs to get in, the reception was crammed with people and luggage and it took in excess of an hour to be checked in, yet, there websites state check in/out (express). Express it was not. After the initial hour, we were told to go and get some food, a buying time tactic I assume, so we made our way to the restaurant. 

Well I say restaurant, that is not what I would call it. Again, rammed with people, most tables covered in food and rubbish, no clear tables. There were also 4 massive queues, one for meat, one for vegetables, one for chips/pasta and the other for drinks. Having left my wife sitting at a dirty table, I queued at the meat counter for 25 minutes, and upon reaching the front, there was virtually nothing to eat. One dish of meat juices from lamb that had been there before. The other issue, to crockery, no cutlery, just what I would class as a small plastic disposable plate probably akin to what would be used at a child's birthday party. Gave up queueing for anything else, so went for a drink. Queued for 15 minutes to get my plastic disposable cup of drink and went to the dessert counter. No bowls, plates or cutlery. Asked staff and they were rude and just said that there were not any, we should have got there earlier. Well thank you for your help.
 
Made our way back to reception, after another 45 minutes, we were allocated our room, paid our local taxes and was escorted to our room. Despite asking for a ground floor step free room, we had to scale a hill, then around 7 or 8 steps to get to our room. We were shown into the room and we thought it was a joke. 
Disgustingly dirty, dust, fluff, pubes, bugs, rust, damaged furniture, stains and what looked like urine and faeces in the bed. The member of staff was not answering our questions, even though I tried in English and French, he just hung around asking for a tip. He would not leave until we had given him a tip. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room, no bottled water, one tiny chest of drawers at floor level for clothes, antiquated and covered in dust, mould in the bathroom, previous occupants pubic hair, dirt on the blankets, stains on the sheets, stains on the mattress, stains on the chairs and a step up to the beds.
 
I had taken a number of photos, wished I had taken more, especially of the lovely view from the dirty balcony over the dusty car park/building site. The furniture was appalling and looked unsafe, so I decided to go to reception to see what options we had.
 
Again the desk manager was very rude, after another 45 minutes queuing to speak to him. I told him about the issues, including the faecal matter and asked if they had alternate rooms. He just stated all rooms are the same. After 20 minutes I knew I was not going to get anywhere, so went back to see if we could make do and clean the room up a bit. It was obvious we could not. I would happily have wiped the floor around, maybe cleaned the bathroom, but I am not changing furniture, most of which needed to be burnt!
 
I went back to the room and arranged to collect my wife, and it was at this point that I found out that she was in fact locked in the room. The one key that we had was needed to get out of the room, no internal handle, no means of escape in the event of an emergency. She had not been able to get out of the room to attempt to get a drink or anything else. We definitely would not have been safe staying in the room with no means of exiting without the key being used.
 
On reaching reception, which was now somewhat quieter, but still another 15 minutes to see the reception staff, we eventually told them that unless they were able to improve the room we would be checking out. The staff person just said, ok you leave and cut off our wrist bands without so much as a thought. We hired a taxi and moved to a habitable room. He did not even offer us back the local taxes that we had paid.
 
I have stayed in three star accommodation before, this certainly is not, not even close. It is dirty and unsafe with rude staff and a restaurant that was worse than a soup kitchen.
 
I rechecked their facilities offered and it stated as I recall that they have an on site golf course. I have stayed at places before with golf courses and had lovely games of golf. They have a second rate mini golf facility, not an on site golf course. They state express check in, certainly not. All their photos show arabesque style rooms with lovely bed sheets, clean floors, etc., this is not the reality. Daily Housekeeping, but the room looked like it had not been cleaned for some months. 24 hour reception, again, that might be how long you spend there checking in! Buffet style restaurant, but with no food and only plastic disposable plates, cups and cutlery. Toiletries, well there was a bar of soap I guess, but that was all. Towels, but with dubious stains on. Telephone, well it was there, but you would probably catch the plague off it. Furnished balcony, well dirty rusty chairs overlooking a dusty car park cum building site at the back of the hotel.

Avoid like the plague, you may catch it there!

Caribbean Village Agadir - Don't Aga do, Aga Don't!

It’s not as bad as people make out, Yes it is dated and needs some upgrading but for the price we paid for our holiday all inclusive was less than £600 for the week. We could get basic bits for breakfast and there is a stall that does paninis and  crepes for less than €3 which we had for lunch most days and got some fries out the restaurant. Our room was cleaned daily and had fresh towels, the rooms were dated and could do with freshening up a bit but again for the price we couldn’t complain for what we got. 

For a cheap and cheerful week in the sun we really enjoyed it, the staff are friendly and the hotel is in a very good location to walk out to go to the beach and other restaurants

People are expecting 5* from a cheap holiday

Filthy dirty , disgusting, derelict , restaurant dirty , the photos have been made to look good , it is nothing like the photos at all, the pool has a film to it , no one ever in it . The dumbed mattresses were blue once but they were all black they had never been washed . One dirty towel on the back of the door when we arrived ,. The water dispenser in the restaurant doesn’t have a water butt in it , when you look behind the bar it’s connected to the tap . Have to buy water from the shop on site . The cleanest part was that little shop . Started itching in my bed I’m sure there was bed bugs . We complained about it all and the manager could only say it was good 10 years ago .  There was drunk brits sitting next to the bar all day and night getting drunk , there was nothing else for them to do . We paid to go to another hotel after half a week . Do not go there  it’s a waste of money we paid £405 each with love holidays . The hotel is hoping for a buyer , if it didn’t have one in a few weeks it is getting shut down. It’s the worst place I’ve ever been . I’ve never written a review before . Felt I should for this place !

Don’t waste your hard earned money here

Read a lot of good and bad reviews before going. But we had a lovely time. No, it’s not 5 star. It’s 3 star. The place is dated and needs a lot of money spending on it, but the pools were great. We had a quieter one than the main pool which is busy so perfect for us. staff friendly, good selection of food. Breakfast there’s a queue for eggs, but nothing else. Sometimes they run out of plates/glasses, but you wait for a few minutes and they bring more out and 
Never had to wait for a table. The trips booked with the helpful and friendly rep were amazing. Mini safari and tour of agadir recommended. The Beach is beautiful and the hotel has its own private section with sun loungers.
The rooms are very basic and only WiFi at reception or by the main bar/pool - but it was quite nice being away from your phone!

Pleasant family holiday

This hotel is definitely to be avoided 
It’s filthy not just dated but dirty, we had 3 different rooms all the same filthy, blood and faces on the walls and floor 
Beds in the first 3 I wouldn’t put pigs in I fact I thought there had been mucky pigs in them 
No facilities in any rooms and water had to be bought every day please don’t use water in restaurants it’s basically from their tap 
Restaurant isn’t even worth bothering with it’s dirty food bits everywhere paint peeling on furniture and walls 
Never any cutlery and tables sharing salt and pepper between them I don’t actually know about the food as I never ate there 
The bar staff leave you standing while serving others rude at best when serving 
Bar is 3 deep of people 
Private beach has no facilities it’s a 3 mn walk to nearest pay for toilet 
Apparently though this hotel meets all required  standards to operate ?? 
Avoid like the plague in fact the cockroaches are that big you could put a harness on them 😂
