Have just returned from a 2 week break at Royalton Antigua. There are good and bad parts to review. This I just my honest opinion.

Positives:
- Stunning beach with gorgeous white sand an beautiful clean swimming beach. Perfect for all ages
- Good well sized clean rooms. Book a bay view as its stunning and the alternative is staring at a cliff with houses on. Our maid Joycelyn was so lovely and took care of our room beautifully for the 2 weeks. She was also very caring an polite. 
- The spa was gorgeous and the staff very friendly and attentive. My therapist Niamah was brilliant and gave a fabulous full body massage. Very friendly and polite. 
- Our Diamond Club Butler, Rodwin. He made our trip a great one, always happy to help an available to assist. Very pleased with his service!! 
- Restaurants, all clean and well presented with good food. 
- I would like to also especially thank Margo from the buffet who was always so friendly polite and smiling. 
- additionally I would lime to thank Melissa from the hotel taxi team who was so friendly an knowledgeable and who picked up an item we left behind at one of our excursions. 

Negatives:
- Diamond club service on the beach was shocking. Most days nobody came round at all unless we message our butler to complain and then suddenly someone would appear. 
- The lack of variety of food at the buffet. The same thing morning noon an night for 2 weeks with hardly any changes. Very little choice for kids. 
- Only 2 lifts to service 9 floors. Sometimes had to wait ages bearing mind this is out of season, I dread to think how slow this would be during peak season. Pray 1 doesn't ever break. 
- Spa treatment costs. Although the spa is gorgeous, the treatments cost a fortune compared to UK prices. 
- Taxi costs, we went to 2 places by cab and was shocked to discover they are similarly priced to uk. We were in the for about a total of 1 hour and it was about £120 ($150) 
- There is an issue at this hotel with staff attitude and friendlies. Apart from the people I've mentioned there was a lot of miserable faces an huffs an puffs if you asked for something. This is unexpected at the price you pay to stay here. 
- there is also a wood burning place near the hotel which burns at night. If the wind is in the wrong direction the smell gets into the air con systems and fills your room with the smell of bonfire. This happened multiple nights whilst staying here. 

Overall we had a good holiday and I would stay again but I would definitely not go during peak season. I suspect the hotel wouldn't cope well with the volume of guests during peak. Diamond club has its issues but I would still do this as you do get benefits which I recommend.

Honest Review - positives / negatives

During our stay we found that when the house keeping team would come to our floor they would be VERY loud. We were here in our room trying to get some rest at 1pm and the ladies were shouting and chatting with each other across the corridor which made us very upset. 

How is this even called a 5 star establishment if workers do not know how to respect the guests and the service they came here for???

House keeping team is VERY LOUD

Fantastic resort, really clean rooms, excellent food. Javier and Kai were fantastic, couldn't do enough for us. 
We spent 2 weeks celebrating our wedding anniversary and really enjoyed our stay, the Diamond Club is definitely worth doing, there was never a problem getting a lounger and it was so easy to dine in the speciality restaurants.
Our only niggle was the checkout process, we asked for a room extension due to a night flight at the time of booking and again on arrival, but even though the resort was very quiet we were not able to - annoyingly on checkout day a member of the maintenance team entered our room and asked us when we were checking out... and on checkout, we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay from a quite rude and sarcastic lady.
Overall we had an amazing time and would recommend The Royalton and would definitely return.

Don’t stay, waste of money, unhealthy food, poor hygiene, pools with chicken legs floating, noisy rooms and I can keep going…….
They still want me to write 200 plus words 
Above all far away from the airport added cost for taxi etc…….

Really good resort, wonderful views, facilties and staff. We used the gym and took yoga classes with Jay was excellent, experienced and offered great help, support and advice.  There are a number of restaurants and bars serving quality food and drinks.
