This is why we won't be booking here again 
N01. We we're  told by the porter who took our  cases to the room that the mini bar would be restocked  every day.  That  was a lie as my husband  rang constantly  every night for beer and water
N02. The Chambermaid decided  to leave air conditioning  on so every thing got wet and damp I.e clothes and footwear also caused mold on the bedroom  walls 
No3. Chambermaid  didn't put clean towels in our room one day! 
No4. They ran out of pina colada, coke, tonic, mango juice, vodka. The reason was because of late delivery! 
No5. We got a couple of drinks from the main bar and went to the buffet  bar. When we got shown our table by  a waitress we went to get something  to eat. When we returned we noticed that out drinks  had gone  and table had been cleared  so I complained  to the restaurant manager. He said  he would have a word with the staff about this. I know  he spoke  to one member  of staff. 
No6. We went to the  Italian  restaurant that was disgusting. The lasagne  sheets were  still hard not cooked and you couldn't  taste the tomato  in the mince. It was very bland 😔  
On the day of checking  out of our room we were told to call for someone  to collect  our  cases. So we did at 11.30am as we had to be checked  out by midday. Nobody turned up. My husband had to drag 2 heavy suitcases  down a flight of 3 stairs as there is no lifts on the complex. The day we checked  checked  out at reception  I told her I was disappointed in all of the the staff working here and everything we wasn't happy with. I even spoke to william the hotel manager  about the non  service we had staying here. He didn't  seem to be a bit bothered. As I said to a member  of staff, we  will never stay at a royalton in grenada  again. Absolutely appalled with lack of customer  service. One thing  I will say before  closing  this awful  review is the food is not cooked properly  and it's the same thing every  day for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is absolutely  dia. staff  are freindy and island  is lovely.  Please read reviews on here before thinking of even booking. I give it no more than 3 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 

Worst royalton hotel

Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted with a refreshing non alcoholic cocktail but found check in a slow process. One staff member took your passports and asked you to completed paperwork then your asked to shuffle along the reception desk to speak to another staff member who gives you your wristbands and takes a $200 payment. What they don’t tell you is that they actually debit this amount and if you don’t charge anything to your room refund you within 5-7 days of departure. I find this disconcerting, since reading previous reviews that some people haven’t had their monies returned, but it might  be that they didn’t understand and actually spent on additional items within the hotel.  Generally most places will take debit details but only deduct any monies spent at checkout. A nice little interest earning they have going on here. 

We had also told reception we were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (as the check in forms asked if any special occasion) and again disappointed this wasn’t recognised within the resort but others were. 

Our room was in the main building 19 on the top floor. There are no lifts and walking the stairs is a workout in itself after a while. 

Mini fridge fully stocked on day one, however thereafter daily calls to housekeeping for fridge refills were needed and even then Lady Luck determined whether it was actually re-stocked. 

Like with many all inclusive resorts food can be a bit hit or miss. Breakfast there’s enough selection for all. The main buffet is on a rotation of themes each night and a pasta station every lunch and evening meal. There’s an Indian restaurant we used once and hadn’t booked, if like us you’re happy to eat early, you can usually find there are walk-ins available. We didn’t try the French restaurant so can’t comment on food here. The Italian restaurant was nice until the flies came out. It didn’t appear they had any preventions, fly, mosquito lights for this. 

There were a few times the bars ran out of beer and communication between bar staff and management lacked with re-stocking of drinks. 

The coffee shop was nice, lots of cakes, cookies and sandwiches and a good selection of coffees and specialities. 

Staff on the whole are friendly and helpful, some didn’t want to make eye contact and say hello back. I get we can all have a bad day here and there, but a friendly gesture shouldn’t be ignored from paying guests. 

The main ‘chill’ pool doesn’t have enough shade or umbrellas and we found the music loud and not your taste in the main (so not sure where the chill element is?), so we found the beach on the right side of the main pool area and where the water sports kiosk is, a lovely place to be. You can walk into the sea avoiding the rocks.  We didn’t go to the pool by Nibbles though that itself had good enough food for a light lunch. 

This was our second visit to this resort 10 years apart and we probably won’t return.

Doesn’t quite live up to its potential

The hotel could be brilliant, but they definitely need to review the way they do things and how some of their staff treat their customers and each other.
To start with our room was in the main building - could not fault the room(19-307), but the corridor outside was treated as a rat run and you could hear people shouting at each other until 3 or 4 in the morning.  Apparently hotel was fully booked, nowhere else to go!
We then had a problem, that apparently they had run out of certain alcoholic drinks on our first night there.  Ok fair enough- that happens.  Although you would have thought that we wouldn’t have to wait over 3 nights for them to get the alcohol in, not very good customer service.
First day at lunch asked for fries, was told they had run out of fries- really! Although the a la carte restaurant had then. That did not make sense to me.
It was my husband’s birthday on the Tuesday, and we booked to go to The Italian.  We got there at 7pm and was told sorry- no pizzas.  
For our starter we ordered the Calamari and Roasted Vegetables.  The Calamari was over cooked, you could have used it as a ball.  My roasted veg was very small pieces of veg diced up and was freezing.
I then had soup, vegetable soup. I swear they bought the same veg out, in a bowl then poured vegetable stock on top, not what I was expecting.
Our main was fish and steak. The steak was lovely, the fish had no taste. So bland
Desserts we ordered Tiramisu and Ice cream, sorry no there isn’t any!
We left there and went back to main buffet restaurant, where the choice was so poor again. 4 different fish dishes or pork chops. I do not eat fish and I am allergic to Pork- great.
This is when we met our first hero. Yuvi. He was really kind to us, listened to how our holiday was not what we was expecting.  He said that from now on we can have a complimentary Diamond Club breakfast every morning, plus he would book us into the speciality restaurants every night if we wanted.
The next morning we went for our complimentary breakfast, the service was appalling- I did point out to the supervisor that we was being treated like 2nd class citizens because we was not Diamond Club. We waited for over an 90 minutes to get tea, water and breakfast, whilst 4 tables of Diamond Club had come in after us, been watered and fed.  When my breakfast came there was a pork sausage(allergic) only for the waitress to throw down my husband’s cereal on the table, because I complained. They then tried to say I had ordered it so I asked to see my order, we never did see it.  We then had to ask for our toast which took another 10 minutes.
On the way to reception, to try and find Yuvi, we met Kirby.  Kirby is one of the beverage managers, he gives 110% to the job, the customers.  He told us from that moment on we would have the holiday we expected, and you know what we did.  Nothing was too much trouble, things like our mini bar not being replenished he sorted.  To be truthful the only time our mini bar was replenished is when we told Kirby, even though it is meant to be on a daily basis.  The one day I knew Kirby was off I asked reception if they could sort it, no it didn’t happen and our phone went off about 11.30 at night- waking us up, reception phoning to see if it was filled up- what a joke.
As far as I am concerned Kirby should have a promotion, he has the right attitude, and he gives that extra care.  He understood that people had paid a lot of money to go on holiday to the hotel, and it is the little things that can make the holiday be amazing.  Like do not run out of drinks, fries, staff going that extra mile.  
I had witnessed how the staff treat each other, there was no support for each other and definitely no team work.
Would I go back, no.  Would I go to another hotel if Kirby was there, yes.

Lack of basics @ The Royalton

Loved the booty killer class! Great workout! My glutes were on fire and I sweat up a storm.  I will be doing this class again as well as some of the other classes offered at the resort.  I really appreciate the options to keep in shape while on vacation.

Visited to celebrate my daughter’s 40th birthday. We had a fantastic time. Our butlers Brad and Chantel were wonderful, Brad went out of his way to make sure we were happy. Our room was in block 20 on the 5th floor oceanfront. The room was spotless, our mini bar re-stocked every day, beds turned down every night. 
The room was decorated for my daughter’s birthday and our table in the French restaurant also decorated. My daughter was served with a special dessert for her birthday. 
We never had a problem getting beds at the pool or beach. The main pool was very noisy so only went there once. 
The restaurants were booked for us by our butlers. The food was good and we never left a restaurant hungry. As Diamond Club we had top shelf alcoholic drinks in the bars. We had breakfast at Grazie a few days which was great, however we made use of the Diamond Club lounge for breakfast the rest of the time. We also used the DC lounge for lunch. 
Would we return, yes, definitely.
