Pool

Travelled to Lapad Bay in October as a solo traveller. This hotel is safe, friendly, comfortable and in a great location. It’s 2 minutes from the bus to the old town, and same to the beautiful beach and promenade walk. There are ritzier, more modern hotels, but if you’re exploring the area, this one is in a great place to base yourself. If you want a big pool to sit around all day, it’s probably not for you. There is a lovely pool and terrace, but it’s not a massive pool to do laps in with lots of sunbeds. (That’s not a criticism.)
The only extra thing I would have liked is having a fridge in the room. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Excellent location and friendly

This is a quite lovely hotel actually! It's a bit outdated but in a sort of friendly and unobtrusive way... The rooms are decent, the cleaning service spotless. The pool area is nice but the pool quite chilly in October. The views from our "semi sea view" balcony were outstanding and it's a quick 2 minute walk down to the beach. 

The breakfast is good enough (English style with some added "European" food items), and the dinner consists of a "heart food-y" buffet that seems to change every day. The food is merely OK, but the very friendly staff are really excellent! 

I'm giving Komodor a 4, which in real life terms is probably a 3, as the tripadvisor ratings are always a bit inflated. A simple man like me will have no problem returning here on my next stay in Dubrovnik 😊 Me and my gf had a lovely time here!

Lovely hotel actually!

We stayed here for a week at the end of October. The location was great, 2 minutes walk from the beach, 2 minutes walk to the bus stop which takes you into the old town, although we always walked to and from the old town, it took us about 50 minutes each way. 

The hotel itself is fine, slightly outdated and quite basic, there was no kettle or fridge in the room which most hotels have. The room was very clean though, there was a leak in the bathroom which sorted for us. 

The food was OK, quite samey over the week but there was always something to fill us up.

We did get a good deal on it though so it was fine for what we paid. Last year we stayed nearby at a more luxury hotel but paid over double the price so it really depends what you want out of a hotel. 

Budget friendly 

The hotel is very noisy, we heard our neighbors snoring and talking. We had a small room that used to be a single room. The room was old and badly maintained. 
Our room was on the first floor, there was a strong smell from the kitchen, it smelled like frying fat. We also had this smell in our room, that's nasty. We also missed a minibar in the room. 

With breakfast we were sitting outside, and it was allowed to smoke there. I was eating my breakfast en next to me people were smoking, really nasty! I'm not going to sit inside, eating breakfast, when I'm there on a summer holiday.

The only positive thing was the housekeeping; Ljuba. She was really kind and sweet when we saw here every day.

Old and dirty hotel.

30 mins from airport, small hotel overlooking pebble beach (sand shoes required due to sea urchins), this small hotel delivers a quiet ambiance, rooms are dated and small but the area is well worth it. You are a few minutes away from the beach and numerous restaurants,  the food was buffet with a small selection of ok food, with at least 4-5 main course meals and a standard range of puddings. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The best shop is up the hill and turn left, 
it's a big b&m type supermarket,  check out the cakes. Bring your own kettle. Any questions you ask I will do my best. 

Presently surprised 

This hotel is located amidst the luxuriant beauty of the Lapad Peninsula, just a short distance away from a host of shopping and entertainment venues. The beach is located just 50 m from the hotel, while the vibrant centre and enchanting old town of Dubrovnik are situated just 3 km away. Links to the public transport network are available nearby. Dubrovnik Airport is at 20 km from the hotel. This wonderful hotel enjoys a charming architectural design, beautifully showcasing the splendour of Croatian style. The guest rooms are sumptuously designed, come equipped with air-conditioning, TV, private bathroom and a balcony overlooking the open sea and the Elaphite Islands. Guests are invited to enjoy and relax at the swimming pool that comes with sunbeds and parasols.
