Pool

Fab hotel with a good size pool and loads of sunbeds and parasols.
The restaurant as plenty of options to choose from,and the
 fish is very good,but there is alot of choice.
The rooms are a tad dated,but clean and the beds are comfy,we did ask for extra pillows as they were to soft for us.

Staff are very Friendly and welcoming with all the advice for getting out and about.

Valamar Lacroma

This is for the Momenti Restaurant, the food was good, very fresh.  Our waiter Azer was very friendly and recommended good wines. Nice atmosphere.  The gin and tonic infused sea bass starter was very light and the Pork Cutlet with truffle sauce was very good. Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying at the hotel

Good Restaurant

High level of service as always. It was 4th holiday in a row with Valamaar network but definitely not the last. Nice people who create unforgettable experience are the highest value of this group. Patient to the kids, smiling, ready to help.

Top service as always

We had special reasons to choose a destination and Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik did not disappoint. This establishment together with its location, the staff and facilities was perfect. Thank you to all of you for making our holiday very special. We hope to return in the future.

Exceptional holiday

Booked massages 4 weeks before arriving, but they'd lost the booking and had to find a way to fit us in... which they did, but it stressed us out, and then the massages were performed like a couples massage in the same room (2 female friends on holiday) which was not what we'd wanted (or booked). Far less relaxing due to this, and a very average massage, with none of the usual questions about areas to concentrate on or avoid / how hard or gentle they should be. The spa itself was quite good, though the changing rooms were poor for a 4* hotel spa - only very basic shower gel/shampoo, none of the usual more luxe brands spas tend to have, no moisturiser or conditioner. 
The hotel has several decent pools, swim-up bars, and not enough sunbeds in the non-VIP section. Far comfier ones to be found near the kiddy pool area,where there's also a pool with a swim-up bar.

Rooms were ok, air con, shower over bath, nicely scented local shower gel  and hand wash. Bedsheets kept coming off all the time as not big enough to stay on. Cleaning crew are polite, but also put a tag on our door saying they'd tried several times to make up our room until 2pm, so they'd left it for today....which was there when we returned from breakfast at about 10.45am. I removed it, but the room wasn't made up by the time we got back from a day sightseeing, but they did send housekeeping to sort it when we called reception. They also removed a bag from our room on the last day, presumably mistaking it for rubbish although it was nowhere near the bin. It was, in fact, all the handmade souvenirs we had bought at a local market on our first day. As they did it on our last day, it left us no chance to buy replacements. The manager treated us to an a la carte meal and some drinks in compensation, which was a kind gesture. Hopefully they'll learn from the experience and not remove anything in future unless it's actually in the bin. 
Decent buffet breakfast, lots of things being freshly cooked as you wait, as well as lots ready to help yourself to. Fruit juices are some awful fake squash from a machine rather than fresh, and they could do with another couple of coffee machines to avoid always having to queue.
The hotel is out of town, but has a bus directly to the old town outside, via another part of the city which also has more restaurants, bars and shops. There are a couple of shops within the hotel and an ATM, a bar with a nice outdoor space, and a short walk away, the Valamar President hotel - the outdoor bar has great views, and is a great place to watch the sunset with a cocktail, whilst listening to live music. 

Dubrovnik itself is well worth a visit, but I'll not be returning to a Valamar hotel. It's ok as a reasonably inexpensive option, but not for me.

It's ok. Probably great for families. Felt a bit "package holiday"
