We have just returned from a week long stay at the Amanti; we visited in October and decided to return, bringing our son and partner. After landing at 8.30pm, we arrived at hotel, check in was slowed a little as hotel had us registered as being bed & breakfast not half board. We will echo a lot of the good points that have previously been written about the hotel, such as sunbed allocation, cleanliness, good standard of food etc… We have given the hotel 4 points as some parts are worthy of 5, but some would struggle to be a 3.
However there were a few niggles on this trip; our son’s partner is 5 months pregnant - we visited all three a la carte restaurants, the first being Fortolana where we were delighted that staff went out of their way to provide alternatives for her, due to there being a couple of items that she was unable to eat. Even having an non alcoholic aperitif ready for her, the supervisor was great in explaining what she could/couldn’t have off the menu, this was done without us having to ask. We were celebrating our son’s 30th birthday while there, a cake and card were left in his room on day of his birthday which was a lovely gesture, and had dinner in Immenso on that evening, again staff were fairly good at foods suitable to eat in pregnancy, and brought us a glass of complimentary fizz when they realised it was his birthday. Our visit to Nocturne was not so good - after reading the menu prior to dining, we realised that there were a couple of courses such as salmon tartare, that are unsuitable in pregnancy, so spoke to guest services to let them know. Despite the prior warning, our waitress tried to give her a gin based aperitif, even when she eventually understood that she couldn’t have alcohol no alternative was offered. Service in Nocturne was slow, with other tables seated after us, being served before us etc…Housekeeping, we never had teabags replenished in our room, we had sunbeds on our balcony but no towels were provided to use on them. On our first morning, we used the shower and the bathroom flooded as the shower wasn’t draining, on checking the shower trap we discovered lots of hair, once removed the shower drained perfectly, but shower traps should be checked and cleaned after each guest! We had asked for a late checkout room, we knew from our previous visit that this would be at a cost of €100, unfortunately due to the public holiday in Cyprus the hotel was very busy and they weren’t able to provide one, however they can’t tell guests whether there is late checkout availability until after breakfast on last day, they do however allow you to use the spa facilities to shower and change for your return journey. When we checked out at 12 noon, we were asked if our stay had been ok, when we voiced that we felt not as good as October visit, this wasn’t followed up. As we hadn’t arrived at hotel till around 9.35pm, we hadn’t used the dinner buffet, so checked if we could use it for lunch on departure day, to be told only if we paid for it. We pointed out that we hadn’t had dinner on arrival day, then waited while this was ‘verified’, and we were finally given voucher for lunch, but were told we should have used the buffet on arrival; we arrived at 9.35, check in took longer because of bed and breakfast/half board mix up, and the buffet closes at 10pm! The spa really isn’t the best area for changing prior to leaving as there is no air con in changing area, and it was very busy; when I left the area, there were 4 women in there and only 2 showers! I joined the Kanika hotel membership scheme, on our October visit, as we had been so pleased to discover, what we thought was a great hotel that we would visit regularly, however points were not added. I had emailed the hotel prior to this visit, and asked why, the 1000 points for signing up were then added, but none for October stay and none for this visit. 
While most of the issues were minor we left feeling that the stay hadn’t been as relaxing as our previous one had, nor did we feel as valued as guests as we did on previous stay. We had hoped to return again in October but now doubt this will happen, we will see where else is available.

Not as good as previous visit

Everyone we spoke to at this lovely Hotel felt the same as us.Amanti is really special for couples.
Service exceptional with all your needs catered for including bringing your drinks while sun bathing ,making your sun beds,yours for your holiday so no need to get up early,putting up your parasol etc.
Nicos the General Manager is always walking around to ensure this service is maintained to the highest level including all the restaurants.
He is interested in how he can make your holiday even better. This we have not experienced before.
Thank you Nicos and our leaving drink was a nice touch.
Stylianos the Guest Service Manger will listen to your requests and help your restaurant bookings.
He and his team are there to make your stay special.They did for my birthday.
The food is of the highest standard.4 restaurants in total .You will not be disappointed.
Asian  on the roof top our favourite.
The pillow menu allows you to choose what you like for a lovely nights sleep.
The bedroom kept immaculate each day by hard working cleaners.
We were lucky to meet some couples with similar holiday outlook.Resting by day ,having fun in the night either in Hotel or the lovely family run Taverna just outside Hotel.

In summary if you want something special with a gorgeous beach close by and swimming pools that are  very romantic.

Made for Two

There is nothing to add that has not already been said.  In essence our top points are as follows- 
1. Allocated sunbeds - amazing and loved it
2. Food - wherever we ate, it was amazing
3. Half board plus - brilliant concept
4. Turn down service- why can't everywhere do similar 
5. Staff - without exception were a huge asset to the hotel

Would love to return in the future, we loved it (if you haven't guessed)

Perfect relaxing stay ....

Amanti for two for 3 nights was ok, however my question is this really a 5 star hotel, certainly  not the staff I found some of the staff rude and  not very helpful. When booking the reservation I booked via Booking.com and was sent the confirmation email clearly stating that we would have a bath with the room type we booked on arrival this was not the case, when I raised this issue the receptionist mentioned that the room type comes with a bath or shower so why did the confirmation email state a BATH. She offered me to come and see her the following day to check if this option was available,however  what would be the point on moving everything again. 
The rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable. The Tv and channel choices were good. Not sure on why such a big balcony is needed for just two chairs and a tiny table  that had cigarette burns on, I will attach an image of this not what you expect to see at a 5 star hotel.
The breakfast was ok not the best and the whole vibe of the breakfast area is not the best tbh something is missing from this hotel maybe it’s the atmosphere. 
The bar is nice and serves nice cocktails very unusual ones and the staff at the downstairs bar are very nice the bar manager is very helpful. The hallway and doors look like something off a cruise ship.
The pool area was not to our liking very overcrowded with little space to move the beds. We were staying previously at a hotel in Protaras we prefer that to The Amanti and we would not return just something lacking not a nice experience and we are well travelled and stayed at many places.
