On arrival was met with a straight face and was abruptly handed the key card for the hotel room. we didn’t have a welcome speech nor information about the policies of the hotel to which should have been the first indication to the type of holiday stay we were in for. My friends and I entered our hotel room and to say it was a comfortable stay is overkill.  Now we know we didn’t pay for premium rooms but to at least enter a clean room is really the bare minimum. We’ve stayed in budget rooms before which have had better cleaning standards than what we saw. 
To start, the bathroom was disgusting. There was rust and limescale on all appliances e.g shower head, sink tap, toilet roll holder, Soap residue from previous residents in the bar soap holder, literal dirt in the overflow hole. We had politely mentioned these issues to Boris the night receptionist to which he said he’ll forward these issues the next day. 
Following morning we’ve spoken to Andrea who works on reception that we had previously spoken to the night receptionist about our issues to which she said there’s nothing she can do and we can speak to the reservations manager the next day at 10am. Around 10:30 Monday morning we had expected for our concerns to be mentioned to the reservations manager but we found we had to explain ourselves for the 3rd time to Nicolas another member of the reception team, to which he seemed to understand and explained why we were having problems with our room including the water pressure in the shower and toilet not flushing. Now this is an important point to remember, Nicolas then went into a back room to speak with the reservations manager and said rooms were supposedly fully booked for the day and we could get a room change the following day which would be a Tuesdays (3 days into our 5 day trip). As we had already spoken to Andrea the day before and she was there right next to Nicolas on reception, we asked if we could speak to the reservations manager personally but was now coincidently in a meeting and we were told to come back around 2/3pm. I didn’t know meetings went on for 3+ hours and paying customers are not made priority when there are complaints. Andrea also mentioned that we should write down our concerns on a piece of paper and she’ll pass the message on.  Which I thought was honestly cheeky, did you not think our problems were worth the time of the manager?
It felt as if our issues were falling on deaf ears and we weren’t being taken seriously. We continued with our day only to find out there was a leak somewhere in the bathroom which was either coming from the bath or toilet. We then went to reception again and spoke to a younger receptionist to say our bathroom floor was flooded. He then sent maintenance to have a look at the bathroom which in that short time the water had leaked through the towels we put on the floor and spread to the hotel room. The maintenance man was telling us to close the shower curtain and it was the reason the floor was drenched as if we don’t know how to use a shower properly. 
He then called a cleaning attendant to have floor mopped. he came back again after we said the floor is wet again and we think it’s coming from the bath or toilet and so he came back with some tools and a pipe to fix the leaky toilet. He then placed same more towels around the toilet and door way and soon after he had left the towel ended up being drenched in toilet water with the pipe he had fixed/replaced dripping  and once again the floor flooded overflowing into the bedroom space. 
He then came back again to mop the floor himself this time and said he knows what the problem is and he’ll come back tomorrow. 
The bathroom isn’t functional but yet we are expected to stay in the room while waiting for it be fixed. We’ve been back and forth for days and this was honestly the breaking point. 
We’ve gone once again to the receptionist, where he made a call and had given us a new room key and said pack what we will need for the night as if to imply we’ll be returning to the same faulty room we had come from. We also ended up being moved to a room 4 doors down from where we originally stayed even though we had been told all “inland” rooms were fully booked until the next day. Although we had this temporary fix we sure wasn’t satisfied with how things had been dealt with prior. 
It was meant to be a nice holiday but in fact in fact felt like Work having to chase up complaints and speak different staff about issues that could have been easily resolved. We requested to speak to the main manager the following morning where I was asked to wait on a table. I waited for 10 minutes as I watched the reception staff and manager speak amongst themselves knowing that I was waiting, before finally being seen.  I politely asked Raza as she approached if she would would like to take a seat with me as this will be a lengthy conversation as well as the fact I didn’t want to have her standing over me as we spoke. she decided she wanted to stand and so I proceeded with saying we’ve been here for a few days and every day we’ve come to you with issues and these issues have fallen on deaf ears. I did want to go on further to say although we’ve got a decent room change, the treatment prior was disgusting and I can only assume it’s due to discrimination because these issues if it had been other residents I’m sure would have been dealt with in a timely manner and without the need to have to chase up complaints every day. Expecting for us to stay in unsatisfactory conditions isn’t what we paid for and the fact we weren’t made priority or taken seriously is really disappointing. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get that far as I was repeatedly interrupted and not given the opportunity to express the treatment we had endured because Raza had become defensive and would interrupt the points I was trying to make instead of taking accountability of the situation and just apologising. Not once did we hear sorry but instead she got the cleaning manager Yanka involved in the conversation to which she said the cleaners have “reported” our room being the most dirtiest room they’ve seen in front of other residents as if to make us look like we’re tramps and embarrass us. What can you expect when we’ve had to use all our towels in the room to stop the flooding of the bathroom moving further into the room. We’re still trying to use the bathroom with shoes on of course as we don’t want to walk in toilet water and due to this the water and dirt from our shoes spread it further. Even the replacement room wasn’t all that great either. The room smelt rotten with source coming from the shower drain in the bathroom. When the mirror would steam up from a shower you could see all the interesting messages from the residents before clearly indicating mirrors don’t get cleaned. It’s all a service level job of cleaning from the room attendants. We haven’t had any sorry or any remorse for our stay so far and have been faced with just attitude. Talking amongst themselves in their own language in front of us and smirking when we’re voicing our concerns, felt like a right muppet. Just honestly the worst experience for a holiday stay. Would not recommend anyone to stay here ever unless you like to feel disrespected and live in unsanitary environments.

Got there to a unwelcome gentalman, night staff i was spoken to very rude off a lady called maria at brekfast.. ok i was wearing a small top, but dont shout at me in front of over guest. Embarrasing my room was full of bugs, the best part of this hotel is the location, and on my lastday there i foind out my childhood, friend had died while i was in cypres i was shocked very upset, i got rushed out of my room the maids are like scavingers looking for what you have left behind, i didnt even have time to have a shower whipe my tears, i got marched out of my room i probley left alsorts, the man with curly hair at resception was very rude, and the nighttime reseptionist tryed to kiss me a few times, ill come bck to cypres but not here, the brekfast is disscusting aswell,,  no plug in the bath and the room was dirty

Not good

This was a surprise for my wife, she was unsure at the drop off point, "Please do not let the fair ground location put you off". As we walked in to the reception we where met by a Delightful lady Andrea. 
Andrea was more than helpful, as where all the staff. The room was clean mattress brand new and when we looked out of the balcony doors WOW.
Cristal clear pool, well kept gardens and the beach just a stroll across the grounds and you are in the sea. 
A location you can not believe, nothing either side no noise just the sound of the waves crashing all night, my type of relaxing holiday. 
Just a short walk along the promenade and you are in the harbour, if you want a quiet meal or just a relaxing drink. 
I have seen some negative remarks but can only think they must have been in a different head space than we were. Looking forward to rebook through the lovely DIamando.

Fantastic stay

The pictures are not true of this hotel. My room is old and my balcony which has no light and can’t be used in the evening, has steps and view is awful and just aircon units. Some lights in room don’t work. These are the poor rooms. Floor is dirty, bathroom is miniscule and you can’t close the door without shuffling around it. Fridge has parts missing. Groups of guys playing music at 4/5am. Asked reception to swap rooms and they refused. Stayed in much better hotels previously in this resort and wouldn’t return here. Also can’t use TV as you have to leave a deposit for the remote control!!!

Breakfast ok. 

Only plus is nice bed and location on the beach ….. which I can’t see!

Most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! Upon arrival I was slightly skeptical due to extremely mixed reviews of this hotel, however I remained optimistic as the images advertised of this hotel are lovely and the price me and my friend paid for this hotel would have reflected the quality of these rooms. As I checked in and headed to my room I was already feeling less hope, the corridors were dirty and there were huge bugs everywhere, I know this is normal in a foreign country but it looked more like a bug habitat. I then opened the door to my hotel room and was met with an extremely dark and dingy room, nothing like the images provided whilst booking. There was zero light in the room, the balcony door would not open and the air con also did not work, this resulted in an awful unbearable heat 24/7. Furthermore, the wardrobe doors were broken and the entire place was filthy. The floor was gritty and left the soles of your feet black. This is not what you want to walk into your hotel room and be met with. Upon further inspection, the bathroom was in a ridiculous state, the shower and bathroom appliances looked as though it had not been cleaned in years, the limescale and dirt was atrocious. There was a dirty wash cloth and bar of soap left over from the previous guests also. This makes me question whether my room had even been cleaned before my arrival, which is honestly the bare minimum to expect when paying to stay at a hotel. I then decided that this was an unacceptable state to be expected to live in so I went and complained to the receptionist which she told me that there was nothing she could do as the hotel was overbooked and that they were having to send guests to other hotels as there were no more rooms available. She then agreed with me and said that if this was her she would be just as angry. I then questioned about the sheer false advertising and she told me that this is nothing to do with them? Which it clearly is, it can't be anyone else's fault except the hotel. She then told me to come back on the Monday (This was Saturday) to speak to the main manager, however still told me nothing will get done. I received zero apology and felt as though they had just disregarded me. The next day approaches, to which we were met with a cockroach infestation, baring in mind we have never had our balcony door open etc as it did not work and also did not have any food or drink in the room. The cockroaches were on all of our clothes and pillows, extremely unsanitary. I booked a hotel in Cyprus not signed up to take part in Im a Celebrity Get me out of here (although that is what It felt like). I then proceeded to complain again this was possibly about the fourth time in less than 2 days, as I had complained about the air con etc, something they also could not do anything about apparently. I told the receptionist that I could not in anyway reasonably be expected to sleep in a room with cockroaches, to which the lady at the receptionist told me that they were overbooked as they have already stated and that I should sleep on the beach instead - whether this was a joke or not, jokes are supposed to be funny and this was extremely unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. After back and forward them telling me there is nothing they could do they said they could change me to the room next door if I waited for it to be "cleaned". At this point I didn't care how my room looked I just wanted a basic level of cleanliness as a minimum, however once again I was met with the exact same problems as the last room, if not worse. I quickly realised that complaining about the bare minimum which a hotel should be providing was clearly not going to get me anywhere and decided to try enjoy my holiday the best that I could. I then had many complications with the keycard for the room door not working, I was told I wasn't doing it correctly? The woman at the receptionist then got one of the other guys that usually do the nighttime reception to come open my door with the master key. I said that I need a key for the rest of the holiday, as I can't just not get in for the rest of my stay. However, this is not where the problem lies here. as I was walking over to my room with the male receptionist he asked "if I was the girl who is always complaining" which I laughed and didn't know what to respond with, and during the walk over to my room he began to ask me if I go to the gym as I looked as though I did and complimented me, this made me feel extremely uncomfortable. He then opened my door for me and looked at me very strangely and I just closed the door over on him. I told him that I was going out as this was later on at night and that I will need a key to get back in - fast forward an hour my room door opens and it is him. I have no idea why he was at my room, never mind unlocking it. I decided to go out that night and my friend stayed in and she told me that several times during the night our door got opened and then closed over again. It could not have been me as I did not have a working key. As two young females this made us feel very uncomfortable as we have no idea what the intentions were behind this. I chose not to complain about this as none of the staff were taking me seriously at all and at this point we needed home. If you are looking for a hotel in Ayia Napa to book, I please advise you to not book this one as it is the worst stay I have had in my entire life and it will not meet your expectations in the slightest, nor will the staff try accommodate you in the slightest.
