Depart the UK for your flight to Paphos airport. Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel in Limassol.

Limassol and Paphos

Brimming with archaeological and mythological fascination, Paphos is a treasure trove waiting to be explored. A morning tour commences in the Geroskipou village, famous for its sweet local delicacy known as 'Geroskipou loukoumi', whose staple ingredient of sugar is a tantalising treat. Discover the striking five domes of Agia Paraskevi Byzantine Church, a unique construction dating back to the 9th century and a sublime example of Byzantine architecture, before returning to Paphos to visit the breath-taking ancient monuments of Kato Paphos Archaeological Park. Overlooking the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea and astonishingly dating back to the prehistoric era, witness the world-famous mosaic floor, richly decorated with mythological and hunting scenes within the House of Dionysos, before ending your morning tour with a visit to St Pauls' Pillar and early Christian Basilica.

Enjoy a day at leisure to indulge in the facilities of your resort, explore the island independently, or unwind upon the sun-drenched beaches, washed by the Mediterranean's crystal clear waters.

Today begins with a visit to the village of Omodos, renowned for its pretty narrow alleyways and colourful houses. Embark on a short tour, commencing at the Monastery of the Holy Cross, which remarkably conceals a rare remnant believed to have been the cross upon which Jesus was crucified. Established in around 330AD, this Greek Orthodox Monastery is one of the oldest of its kind in the world. Whilst in Cyprus's principle wine growing region, take a leisurely stroll to discover the village's medieval wine press nearby, before pausing for lunch. Later, continue to the Cypriot Village of Mandria to taste the refreshing flavours of herbal tea, brewed with locally produced 'Castellanos' herbs, and finally, your last stop today will be at the rustic village of Platres; enjoy a wine tasting at the winery, famously renowned for its Xynisteri and Chardonnay grapes, before returning to your hotel for a leisurely evening.

Limassol

Spend a day at leisure, taking the opportunity to admire the dazzling coastline, exploring local sights or tasting delectable local delicacies.

Day 6
Limassol

Visit the picturesque traditional village of Lefkara famous for its lace and silver handicrafts. On the journey back to Limassol, stop off in a local village to taste the salty flavours of Halloumi that Cyprus is so famous for at Petros Basketry Museum.

If booking more than 12 weeks before departure a deposit of €324.50pp will need to be paid at the time of booking with the full amount payable at 12 weeks prior to departure. The deposit applies to adults and children. If you are within 12 weeks of travel then the full balance of the holiday will be payable.

Your initial flight is to Larnaca Airport. Each passenger is entitled to 23KG of hold luggage plus 1 item of hand luggage not exceeding (56cm/45cm/25cm) in size. Weight restrictions will be on your final documentation. Should you wish to take additional luggage you will need to pay extra at check-in. Check-in should be at least 3 hours before departure. IMPORTANT: Please note that final flight details will be confirmed on your final documentation which will be sent to you approximately 21 days before departure. You will not receive an E-ticket, all you need to do is present your passport and online check-in boarding pass to the staff at the desk.

We strongly recommend that you and all members of your party are suitably insured as soon as you book your holiday. It is a condition of booking that you must have suitable travel insurance. It is important that you purchase travel insurance that suitably covers your participation in whatever activities you may undertake at the time that you make your booking. This tour is accessible to most people with an average level of fitness. It involves some climbing of steep steps. This tour is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

As normal practice you may be asked for your credit card details on check-in at the hotel in order to cover any extras incurred during your stay. If you do not have a credit card, you may be asked for a cash deposit. MasterCard and Visa are widely accepted in hotels as well as American Express.

You will need to take some extra money with you to cover any personal purchases, such as souvenirs, laundry, extra drinks, and snacks. Approximately £400 will be sufficient for the duration of the tour. There are some optional tours available to purchase locally and these generally need to be paid in cash. Therefore please allow an additional £100 if you wish to book these. Enhance your tour experience with our excellent range of optional excursions, to be booked locally in CNY. Prices are per person; please speak to your local guide. All optional excursions are subject to availability.

It is customary to tip your national guide, local guide and driver approximately £3.00 (CNY30.00) per person per day. During your Yangtze River cruise it is customary to tip the cruise staff approx. £15.00 per person for the total duration. For your convenience this will be collected by your National Guide on the first day of your tour in Shanghai, approximately £65.00 (CNY700.00) for the total duration per person. Tips are collected in Chinese Yuan.

Your accommodation is selected for convenience, location, comfort or character, and can range from business hotels to leisure hotels. Hotel accommodation is generally rated as local three to four-star standard, but please note there is no international classification system for hotels, and differences in facilities and quality do exist compared to what you might expect in the UK. All group tours hotels have private bathroom facilities and air-conditioning, where needed.
