General view

We spent a week at Theo Sunset Bay Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean, which was important for us, especially since it’s allergy-friendly (no pets allowed) – a big plus.

Breakfasts were tasty with a good variety each morning, and the staff was always welcoming and helpful. We also rented a car through the hotel’s rental service. The gentleman from the rental desk (friendly, black haired guy – sorry we didn’t catch the name!) was incredibly helpful. He noticed a small issue with the car before we even mentioned it and fixed it immediately – very professional.

We’d also like to give a special thanks to Ms. Alessandra – always smiling, kind, and ready to help. Her positive energy and sense of humor really made a difference during our stay.

Overall, a peaceful, well-run hotel with great people. We’d happily come back!

Relaxing and clean stay with great service

We have just come home from the most incredible holiday. The hotel itself was lovely, from the minute we walked in we felt welcomed. Everywhere was spotless and the rooms were well equipped with our own private veranda. 

We came to celebrate a 60th Birthday and from day one all the staff made it feel so special. Especially Vasille, Elena & Joe at the bar everyday smiling and having a chat. Olivia was so friendly and couldn't do more to help our group, offering water aerobics, music quizzes and just a friendly smile, even offering local reccomendations and helping us find coeliac friendly restaurants. 

We are so sad to be leaving but have such special memories from this incredible trip and that's thanks to everyone at this resort. 

Wonderful hotel

We booked this hotel very last minute with EasyJet holidays. I do find easyJet very easy and massive value for money. The Theo is a nice clean hotel with stunning views across sunset bay. On arrival there was just one chap trying to serve 5 couples and although it felt a bit faulty towers at the time, the man worked his socks off. On first impressions we were not feeling it but after a late night drink and waking up to a beautiful sea view in the morning, it got much better.  The location of the hotel is 8k outside Paphos and 3k from Coral bay, there is an excellent bus service right outside the hotel, 2 euros per person each way or a day ticket for €6.50 each person. 

We booked a junior suite and it was an ok size, not much in the way of storage but done the job. We did half board by the way. 

The hotel was very clean throughout although our room did seem to get missed for a good clean daily. Loo roll not topped up and towels not changed. The pool areas are very clean also but it was frustrating due to building works blowing dust on the lower pool, it had to be closed off. There is quite a lot of building works going on at the hotel and in the area. 

Food - average to good but nothing spectacular. Always fresh and again very clean throughout. The staff in the restaurant area a grumpy lot but never rude. 

Bar and entertainment- the bar staff were excellent and the prices were more than fair. The evening entertainment was poor but they made the effort each night to have something on. 

There is a shop on site and prices were ok compared to the mini market down the road. 

This hotel for us was fair to middling and did the job for six nights. The view across the bay was the highlight and we did catch the most amazing sunset.

6 of one, Half Dozen of the other

The hotel is in a great location and has lovely views, our room was sea view, spacious, clean and comfortable. We were half board and found the food to be plentiful and of a good standard. Did have a bit of criticism of the evening meal experience, I think during the quieter times they cater for non hotel guests at the weekends and felt that we were managed around them. The staff although seem to work hard and do everything that is required of them could seriously do with some customer service training on how to interact with their customers, they’re not rude but just so detached, I don’t honestly think I saw any of them engage and smile the whole time I was there. Overall it’s a nice hotel and with a few tweaks here and there could be so much better. If I’m honest I wouldn’t stay here again though.

Nice

Big plus for Theo Sunset Bay is definitely the fantastic views ! Never tired of looking at them from the pool area. Rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day. We were all-inclusive and have to say the food everyday was fresh and tasty with lots of variety. Drinks also went down very well ! The staff were friendly ,helpful and efficient with special mention for Kasemira and Zoe in the bar area for great service and always with a smile ! Only slight negative about the hotel is distance from Paphos centre, it's not walkable although there is a bus stop outside at the main road. Fare is only €2 and there's also a multi-trip option which is only €6•50 for the day ! Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Theo Sunset Bay Hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area 👍
