We should have been staying in the Athena Royal for a special wedding anniversary but after a poor experience on check in we were upgraded to the Asimina which was ironic as we first stayed here in 1992 when it was the 3 star Paphian Bay. Firstly I would praise the staff especially reception, they are amazing and 100% exceed expectations. The service in the hotel is excellent, attention to detail is good however I feel the hotel is trying to be a 5 star but can't quite make it. The hotel is very dated, hasn't changed much in 30 years, the outside areas are immaculate but sadly the room cleaning was pretty dire, I had to leave a note to ask them to clean the floor as covered in sand for 3 days. We were on bed and breakfast thankfully but I heard numerous complaints about an app to book dinner in the restaurant. I have mixed feelings, would I return, maybe but it certainly doesn't warrant its 5 star rating at the moment or the high prices.

Trying to be something it's not

The overall experience of staying at Asimina is good - we stayed  the first time 8 years ago and have since tried all the Constantinou Bros hotels along the strip and this is the best .
A couple of things to make it 5 star for us would be to update the hallways to the rooms, very old discolored carpet. Get a better set of cleaners as ours was very slapdash and also look to find another way to book the outside restaurant rather than a mad rush at 9 am every morning to get online and book ( not everyone knows how to use apps ) 

Other than this the Reception staff are amazing , make you feel very special with check in and check out procedures. Food and drink are great .

2nd time here and just as wonderful as last year….

There isn’t anything negative I can say about Asimina Suites. I have some helpful tips I will post at the end in case they are helpful to anyone. 

All staff here are so friendly, not too intrusive but will happily engage if you want to. 

The food is outstanding and if you want something cooked a certain way, an item removed from a dish etc just ask and they will accommodate. They offer so much variety and choice of fruits, vegetables, meats, desserts, you won’t go hungry. 

The rooms are clean, the cleaning team here are non stop. Gardens are immaculate.

Tips….

Get on the app at 9am to secure the next nights table in either of the Al a carte restaurants. We got Al a carte every other night plus 2 in a row with no problem. The buffet restaurant here is such good quality food it’s like an Al a carte anyway so you won’t be disappointed 

The cocktail menu has approx 12-15 cocktails listed but they make over 100, if it’s not on the menu just ask and they will make it. We had French 75, Porn star martini, sex on the beach, Negroni etc and they are all freshly made and very good.

If you have a cabana speak to the pool guy and he will make up for you daily.

We are definitely booking for 2025 and can’t wait to!

Does not disappoint !! Excellent all round !

Firstly, I will start off by saying this is an amazing hotel and from the moment we walked into the hotel we were treated like royalty.  We were met with a cold glass of champagne and canapes upon arrival and check in was quick and efficient.
 
We opted for the all-inclusive option which worked well for us.  The drinks were of top quality with lovely cocktails, and they had most international brands. The pool bar was great and from what we understand a fairly new addition to the hotel.  Chandon and the team kept us topped up with water and delicious drinks every day.  Around midday George and his team delivered freshly made smoothies to your sun lounger which was a really nice touch. 
 
The food was excellent and of really good quality – breakfast was buffet style with freshly cooked eggs any style.  There was also champagne at breakfast plus continental and Cypriot options. 
 
We ate lunch at Kymata each day and the setting were stunning overlooking the sea the food was fresh, varied and there was also different specials on the menu each day.
 
There were 3 options for dinner which was Kymata, the A La Carte and the buffet restaurant.   Highly recommend the Cypriot night every Friday which was excellent with great food, music and entertainment.  We also enjoyed the buffet restaurant on a few occasions with no complaints. Kymata is a stunning restaurant even more so in the evening.
 
The pool was lovely and large and very warm!  We also went in the sea which you go in via a jetty into the water and the sea was crystal clear and warm.
 
Finally, a shout out to the staff and apologies if we missed anyone.  The ladies on reception were superb and could not do enough for us – we had an issue with our air conditioning, and we were moved to a sea front suite without any hesitation, and they were always on hand for any questions with a smile. 
 
George and his bar team were amazing.  Marois and his restaurant teams Thomas, Marios, Janos, Lucian and everyone else were just fantastic and top service throughout the stay
The resort staff who looked after the pools, gardens, maintenance were also constantly working to keep everything looking pristine.
 
Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and we have already booked to go back next year and think this will now be one of our go to hotels!
 
To sum it up we had an amazing holiday and found the staff, service, food & drinks and ambience to be of top quality.

5 Star Hotel

The service at this hotel is amazing all the staff are fabulous a few to mention, George the bar manager is fabulous so friendly. Chandan around the pool looked after us all holiday and new what we wanted to drink all the time. Nikola in the restaurant was friendly and always had a nice word for us and Nucu in the evening again looked after us so well, but all the staff are fabulous. Food and drink was great and the room was lovely. The setting of this hotel is the best right on the beach and the veiws are fab.  Its the little touches that count cold towels by the pool in the day the turn down in the evening with fresh water and a bottle of champagne a couple of days before we left all make you feel welcome and looked after.

Great Holiday

Constantinou Bros Asimina Suites Hotel is a luxurious, 5 star, adult focused, all suites hotel with its own beautiful sandy beach and 2 interconnected outdoor, freshwater swimming pools. Some of the suites have private pools with wooden decks while all the suites have large balconies.
