Pool

After reading some of the reviews we were a bit worried about coming here, but quickly realises there was no need to be.
Check in was quick, also as we arrived late food and drinks were left in our room.
Room was a good size, beds comfortable and ample wardrobe and drawers space.
Food was really good, with plenty of choice, staff really friendly and hard working.
Pool bar is really good and does amazing snacks.
The entertainment area is more than adequate, with lots of room. And though we didn't go every night, the nights we did go the acts were good, especially the rock night and the Greek night.
You can have a pleasant walk into Kos Town from this hotel. 
We would have no hesitation into returning here.

Relaxing week 

Me and my partner travelled in the first week of June to stay at this lovely hotel for 4 nights.
Firstly… ignore the bad reviews, we were a bit worried from reading some of them (your always going to get the moaners over petty things!) we had a truly great experience. 

On arrival we had a very warm welcome from the receptionist Irene, she made us feel at ease straight away. She gave us a very informative run down of where everything was, also notifying us of the islands tourist tax, Irene chatted to us most days and just made us feel really welcome. 
The reception area is very large with lots of lovely sofas to relax on, along with an information area sharing all about the local excursions and weekly hotel entertainment. There were also communal showers, toilets and a luggage holding area space in reception. 

The Room
Our room was basic but clean.
We had a good working air con which we definitely needed (our first day was 37 degrees!) we also had a mini fridge, tv and a beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. There was also plenty of storage! A big thank you to the house keeping staff who cleaned our room every day and supplied us with lots of towels! 

Facilities 
The hotel has a games room with table tennis and snooker. There are lots of sofas for just relaxing by the lounge bar, if you fancy sitting outside for a drink instead, there are lots of comfy seating outside too again right by a bar, this is also where evening entertainment is held. We thought the pool was fab, clean and not over crowded with plenty of sun beds, there was the opportunity to have a massage which takes place in a open marquee right by the pool, Christina the masseuse is amazing she is a great addition to the hotel services, for a 30 minute Swedish massage I was charged 40€. For this you can pay cash or card.

Food
We had booked half board, breakfast and dinner were good. There was definitely lots of variety… you won’t starve put it that way. There was always a big salad bar, a range of different puddings on each day, cooked English breakfast in the morning, fruit, yoghurt, etc. Sometimes it felt the food could have been a bit fresher (the bread and sliced fruit in particular) we also ordered juice at breakfast but it tasted like squash…  this is obviously a very minor detail, just something to consider. On the whole it was good. We also ate in the snack bar area near the pool a few times, the food here was great and the staff were very polite and efficient. I must also say the dining room staff were absolutely brilliant. We were always welcomed with a smile, they always wanted to help where they could, they made it a really pleasant experience.

Location 
This was our first time to Kos so we didn’t really know what to expect. The hotel in our opinion is located in the best area of the island after trekking the whole island on a quad bike exploring (yes we really did!) The hotel is basically opposite the most gorgeous marina lined with lovely restaurants, Kos town is literally 10 minutes on foot. You can find authentic Greek tavernas, souvenir shops, historic ruins and decent beaches. In a lot of places you can get a gyros and a pint for 5€! If you prefer a bit more of a fine dining feel, there are many beautiful restaurants along the sea front which cater for this. You won’t be stuck for places to eat!

Other…
We hired a quad bike for 35€ for the day (we thought this was an absolute bargain!) you will see so many rentals companies at different prices. We went with Moto Service Rentals which was just minutes from the hotel, a really lovely guy not pushy, very professional and great value. 

All in all we had a great stay at Continental Palace. We really would recommend it. Thank you to all the staff for giving us a great experience. We have come home super relaxed and happy!

Great Hotel (Ignore the bad reviews)

The Continental Palace hotel is located a short bus ride to Kos town . The hotel is in spacious grounds with a large swimming pool at the front , which is surrounded by sunbeds and a cafe , which is surrounded by grassy areas where you can be shaded by the trees and bushes -- so plenty of room to sun bathe.
just across the road is a shingle type beach with safe swimming in the sea.
The hotel is kept spotlessly clean throughout , the bedrooms are a good size and most comfortable ,with maids that come in everyday. 
There is a good variety of meals  in the  large restaurant , where the food is constantly re-filled when needed , with an army of  cheerful staff that work very hard to  fill up the food and clear the dishes etc.
Any questions or queries , the reception are most helpful  , plus they have the best receptionist in Kos - Irene

Superb Hotel in  a  Superb Location.

Don’t believe all the bad reviews on here. Yes the hotel is a little dated but the location is excellent & the staff cannot do enough for you. The reception staff especially go the extra mile. The food is good with a good selection for breakfast & dinner.

Good hotel in a great location

Just returned  last night from a wonderful  weeks stay at this lovely  spotless hotel.Do not take any notice  of bad reviews, they are not justified. Fantastic  location,lovely  staff and beautiful  gardens.All on all a relaxing  break with stunning weather,did not see one cloud sall week.The food from the snack bar by the pool is very good and reasonably  priced.would definitely  return.

Lovely  Hotel

This family-friendly hotel is situated in Psalidi, around 50 m from the closest pebble beach and quite close to the centre of Kos. The hotel area is surrounded by large verandas and beautiful gardens. The bus station, restaurants, shops and bars are within walking distance; the popular nightspots are just a few kilometres away.
