Excellent hotel with fantastic service would highly recommend rooms and pool area outstanding staff are also great got upgraded to superior room which was beautiful they could not go enough for us. Bed was super comfortable. Great family hotel would definitely recommend.

Fantastic hotel

Stayed at Ionion Blue a number of times, pool area is always clean and no matter what time you get to the pool you can always get a sunbed. This visit we were in room 308, great room with a walk-in shower. We enjoy the breakfast, perhaps a bit more choice of fruit would be better. The one thing I don’t like is the poolside toilets, they are down a flight of stairs (that aspect is ok) but they are quite smelly and the doors don’t lock. Wouldn’t stop me staying again because all the rooms aren’t too far away from the pool.

Another great visit

Booked a fairly last minute trip and was pleasantly surprised! We had a great stay here. Great location just 5/10 mins from the main strip and also a short walk to the beach.

Breakfast was fine but nothing fancy - does the job and it was clean and well stocked. Continental style with some hot options. Would have liked some spanakopita :-)

Rooms were very spacious and shower was lovely (often had a few not so good showers at Greek island hotels). Cleaned every day discreetly and fresh towels which we really like. Room was pretty clean (maybe needed a bit of a descale in the bathroom) and bed was big and comfortable. Air con was great and an extra cost, but there was a bit of a heatwave so I'm glad we got it.

Bar snacks were fine, nothing too fancy. We loved Joanna who was working around the bar/breakfast all day. She was so friendly and worked really hard, nothing was too much trouble. Delicious cocktails! She made our experience in our opinion.

Sunbeds were generally ok but a few ripped/tatty ones which need replacing. It was never difficult to find a sunbed and we often ended using the ones on the grass area by the front gate as it was lovely and quiet away from the pool noise.

Pool was clean and nice to use. What was really nice was not having loud music blaring around the pool all day - I wouldn't have minded a little background noise but nice to have the option! The grounds were extraordinarily well kept and the gardener/maintenance was pruning bushes to absolute perfection. Was lovely to have lots of trees and flowers around. We even spotted the owner doing a few walk arounds to keep check on everything which was nice.

All in all, we would stay here again. My only negative feedback was a lack of information in the rooms (check in/check out times, local restaurants, emergency telephone numbers etc, that's always handy to have for guests...)

Great last minute trip

Just got back from a very enjoyable week at the Ionian Blue. The location was fantastic, not surrounded by other Hotels so nice and quiet, the main strip was a 3 minute walk, the beach was less than 10 minutes away.  Rooms were cleaned every day, towels changed daily.  Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, you could have a full English cooked breakfast, there were cereals, toast, cakes, cold meats, jams, pretty much everything you could want. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The pool is large and I never once saw all the sunbeds being used. There were plenty, no need to rush down in a morning to reserve them. We are about to book again for next year, says it all really !

Lovely relaxing week

Lovely hotel and breakfast. Room had a fabulous view and was cleaned every day to a high standard. Pool area really nice with plenty of sunbeds. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Location perfect if you prefer it to be quiet. Handy to get to the beach
