Have just returned from a week at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel was amazing. Spotlessly clean and everything looked new. staff were faultless. Polite friendly and extremely helpful. Beautiful food and the a la carte restaurants were fantastic. I do have to bring to your attention the fact that the ice cream freezer by the pool needs some attention. When i opened it there were dead flies all around the edge and the sliding tops were very dirty. I am sure you will rectify this. Apart from that one small thing perfect.

A week in Zante

One of the best hotels ive been to! The staff are so welcoming and sweet everything was perfect from the room to the food to the beach. Every day was an adventure and i would recommend to anyone travelling to zakynthos. Its amazing! The rooms were cleaned everyday, spotless! 
There were so many different food places to choose from which made every night exciting! You had live shows and classes around the hotel! 
The spa was one of my favourites i felt so relaxed. Adrian left a mark he was the most welcoming host as well as Leni who helped in every aspect he could. The staff in general were some of the nicest people ive met and they made my whole experience in Zakynthos absolutely memorable. I suggest everyone book their tickets now because you will definitely not regret it!

The best hotel in Zante

I will start with the positives… 
Location we found personally were perfect for us being able to venture down the beach to lots of different bars and restaurants, then only 5 minute taxi into Kalimaki was brilliant for us. We paid for the sapphire suit with a sea view and it was a fantastic room we loved it. The setting of the hotel is beautiful.
Now for the negatives…
I would not class this hotel as a 5* hotel, me and my partner have been to many 5* hotels and this comes no where close, there is no seating assigned at buffet with a waiter taking your drinks order, there was no chef at the grill station cooking fresh meat and no one cooking fresh omelettes and eggs at breakfast. The coffee machines are a joke always queing and the food is very mediocre and we will eat anything with no fuss. 
Not sure if it was just the timing of when we came but it was just full of kids making our pool experience not relaxing (we have nothing against kids) but I think there should be an adults only pool where you can just relax, there’s no parks for the kids to play and no entertainment on at night other than one night there being Greek dancers. The Cool Living is a waste of money as there is 2 cocktails on the menu that you can get and we got a 1 free taxi ride into zante town centre. The al le carte restaurants were ok but you can only book them once and we stayed for 10 days so we had to venture out for food as we got bored of the same food and no entertainment. It seems to be under staffed and the staff look tired and over worked but still remain friendly and do what they can for you. 
All in all we won’t be returning to this hotel which is a shame as it has potential.

Mediocre domes experience

We had a very nice stay at Domes Aulus Zante. 

The property is really beautiful, surrounded by greenery. The rooms were exactly as presented upon booking, very clean and comfortable. The beach was amazing, although the sun lounges are a bit further from the sea because of the turtle eggs, that did not prove to be an issue whatsoever. You can still see the water very well and the sea is a very short walk away. There is very soft sand both on the beach and in the water (no rocks or pebbles). The highlight was for sure the fact that every day we saw at least one turtle.

Regarding the restaurants, the food was really good, for all meals, at both the buffet restaurant and the three a la carte restaurants (Meze, Griglia and Tesoro Mio). However, one thing to mention is that when we arrived, I assume because it was not high season yet (we were there 17-24th of June), one of the a la carte restaurants (the Pita Canteen) was closed. We did not know this until we arrived. They opened it approximately 2 days before we left, but because we already had other reservations we did not try it out. Aditionally, it is our understanding that the policy regarding the a la carte restaurants is that all guests have the opportunity to book at least once for each restaurant. We had the expectation, also based on previous stays at hotels with similar concepts, that depending on availability, there may be some flexibility to go more than once. However, that was not the case, despite the fact that we were not there during the busiest of times. On the contrary, sometimes the only time available for dinner was 9pm. So the policy was respected, just know not to expect more than that.

Another thing to keep in mind is that although it is mentioned on Booking, there is no game room available.

The main issue we experienced, especially in the first few days, was the inflexibility of the staff, which was not in line with the hospitality we expected from a 5* hotel. No matter whether we tried to move our dinner reservation, for example, or check if they had an extra spot available at the a la carte for lunch, the answer was always a straight no, no explanations, no effort to make it work.

However, many thanks to Andrianos, the Guest Relations Manager, whose willingness to listen to our feedback was greatly appreciated. His responsiveness and understanding truly show an outstanding level of hospitality and made a huge impact on our experience. 

Overall, we had a great vacation and despite a couple of issues, we would recommend this hotel.

Overall would recommend

As a family of 3 we stayed here for a week , I was a little worried before arriving because off the recent bad reviews, we have stayed at plenty of 5 starts in the last 6 years mainly turkey and there hotels are impressive, we had a lovely stay there is definitely a chilled vibe different to what we're use to but I loved it , I found the food absolutely fine what you expect to be honest and if you expect hot food and lots more choice then you will be paying double or triple the price, the pool was lovely and the beach was also lovely you habe the turtles right on your door step , we hired a boat on the beach by the hotel which was perfect abd saw turtle, the only negatives to me which didn't massively effect  our holiday but we do like is waiter service round the pool you had to que to get a drink most times but not to long, evenings they had some waiter service but not enough so same , also we had a tiny bathroom for a family room and the shower leaked, i could of complained but we decided we didn't want the hassle of moving, over all great location and great hotel I would rate it a 4.5 .

We had a lovely relaxing holiday
