AX Rosselli Hero

We've just returned from spending four days at the Rosselli. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. There were many positives and one or two comments from previous guests which point out areas where things could be improved and ones which we probably tend to agree with.
The biggest positives were the majority of the staff, particularly the breakfast staff. They were attentive, very pleasant and worked extremely well as a team. Others working in and around the hotel were friendly, helpful and very discrete. Standards of professionalism, dress and presentation from all were very high indeed.
Our room (a pleasantly surprising upgrade) was somewhat unusual in design and decoration but it was very well presented and ALWAYS well serviced by the domestic staff. The general decor of the hotel was a pleasing mix of modern and traditional and the sheer height of what must have been the central courtyard of the original building was stunning. However, in our opinion, the lounge area failed to match up with the entrance and reception areas in terms of atmosphere and tradition.
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast outside on all four mornings of our stay and could not find fault with the selection, standard or presentation of the food. As previously mentioned, it was served in style, with a smile and a chat about the day. Excellent!
We had dinner at Grain Outside on one occasion and were left feeling rather confused as to what we were expected to choose. Having settled for a traditional three courses of starter, main and desert, we felt that the staff were somewhat perplexed that we hadn't "shared" or gone down the line they had been trained to suggest. We like to make our own choices in a relaxed atmosphere. Having a son who owned and obviously worked in a Michelin recognised restaurant in England, we have experienced food and service of a very high standard. However, we did feel that  we were being led to where we didn't wish to go. We enjoy modern, simple, good quality food in a proper but relaxed setting.nf Unfortunately,  Grain Street wasn't really for us. Outside of the hotel was noisy, particularly  on Friday and Saturday nights. We were in the middle of a vibrant capital city and tourist destination, what else could we expect? Perhaps it says a great deal about everything good about the hotel that we "old grumpies" didn't let it bother us and we went to sleep looking forward to the next morning, a lovely breakfast and a new venture.
All in all, a wonderful stay in a special hotel if somewhat busy  but splendid Valletta. A special place - hotel and city.

A special hotel in a very special city.

Stayed here with my wife for seven nights.  
This hotel is boutique as in the name and small as in meaning. There is very little facilities here apart from a rooftop terrace(tiny swimming pool) and this was out of bounds to guests on the Saturday due to a wedding reception. We were offered a half hour taxi ride to their sister hotel in Sliema to use their facilities. 
Good housekeeping was also in short supply. On two days our room was not made up until nearly six o'clock in the evening and then only after repeatedly having to phone reception. This place was not cheap at 336 euros a night without breakfast

As they say where I come from "not all it was cracked up to be".

Rosselli  Hotel Valetta - 5 Star Luxury Boutique Hotel but not in my opinion.

The Rosselli is a luxury hotel. The facilities were excellent with a sun deck on the roof and the service from all members of staff was impeccable. The location was perfect as it is at the end of the pedestrianized area and it is easily accessible to all parts of Valletta. The breakfast was amazing and you could have effectively anything you wanted. It is truly a five star boutique hotel with service to match its star grading.

The staff is so professional, you really feel very welcomed! 
Perfect work of ladies at Reception and fantastic work of Housekeeping, our room was super clean.
It’s important that it’s very quiet in the room while the center of Valletta is quite a busy place. Our Maltese balcony had a stunning view of Valletta, the hotel’s location is great. 
Mattress, pillows and linen are one of the most comfortable you can find in hotels, we slept like babies. 
There are lovely aromas in the room and in lobby, we liked it very much.
Rooftop and Over Grain bar is a perfect place to chill out, sunbathe and for cocktails of course.
Grain Street is Michelin restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner, it’s going without saying that food is so good and the service is very professional.
Can’t wait to come back there!!!

Marvellous. I stayed at st Johns's, next door, but part of Rosselli with all its facilities. Arun made my room so well everyday, and he's so kind. This is a great place with wonderful breakfast, very efficient service, great rooms and marvelous bed.
