Pool

A well-appointed and comfortable hotel with spacious air-conditioned rooms, excellent outdoor swimming pool.  There is also an outdoor splash pool and indoor pool, though we didn't use either of these. Nor did we use the gym.

The poolside bar is very comfortable, with lots of seats and places to relax.  There is also a restaurant, though we didn't use that either, choosing to go out instead, or prepare our own meals as we were self-catering.

There is a good supermarket (Intermarche  Matachique) within walking distance (15 minutes), which is a good size and well stocked.

The hotel, though, being midway between Alvor and Praia da Rocha, and Portimão needs you to be mindful of your Uber budget!  Maybe remember to use the free shuttle bus service, which leaves the hotel for Portimão or beach at 10 am and 2.45pm.

I'd stay again, happily.

Highly recommend Just had a 10 day stay. Excellent apartment good size the Kitchen and the Bathroom were slightly tired  but very clean, you had all you required for self catering. The staff were all very helpful and couldn't do enough for you(The lovely in the Supermarket especially). The communal areas were kept spotlessly clean. The pools were cleaned everyday. Alvor just 3km away we used the local taxis 5-6€ each way or 20minute walk. Would I go back most definitely.

Recently home from a 10 day stay. Clean spacious apartment, staff super friendly, nothing too much too trouble. Rooms cleaned everyday. No sunbed wars ! Nice quiet spot, can’t moan about location we knew it was a good walk to Alvor - of an evening we would walk down used Bolt taxi for return trip - very reasonable. Would happily stay again.

Me and my friend stayed Dale here. The apartment was lovely however the food was appalling. The breakfast was horrible, the eggs were out that long they were congilled. We were only given a side plate for the breakfast. The evening meal was tasteless and limited choice and it was served cold. One evening, the rice was stodgy and the duck was dried and there was no sauce, we asked for sauce but she said it was at the bottom of the dish, however this was not true. Our room was not clean, we had clean towels and beds but there was no cleaning of the floor, and rubbish was left on our balcony, we had to clean the tables ourselves. We arrived early in the morning after travelling all night and we had to wait 4 hours for our room which is disgusting and we had to keep asking for the room and they kept saying we will be ready as soon as we can but it took 4 hours. It was named under Alvor but it was an hour from this town with dangerous roads and paths which is even worse for the elderly or disabled, we are both nearly 80. We will never be back.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in

This was the worst holiday my friend and I have ever had and we would never go back again even if a free holiday was offered. The only good thing was Fatima and Beatrice on reception they were amazing. The apartments were nice and spacious but were not kept clean just the beds were made. If you want an early morning swim forget it as the whole pool area is ringfenced and you can only get in with your key and the pools don’t open until 9.30am. No pool towels are provided and the sun beds are old and very hard with no mattresses provided either. There is no lifeguard at the pools.

The food was the worst we have ever tasted, breakfast was the same each day it was left out and cold and the bacon was so thin and hard it was ok if you wanted to saw wood with it. No chef visible to cook omelettes or pancakes and the toasters were two very old 2 slice toasters. Evening meal was just as bad with every night a choice of soup or lettuce leaves with some cold salad, one choice of fish, one choice of meat and a vegetarian option. If you want ice cream that is extra. You can order from the a la carte menu but the food is awful from there as well. Pizzas, chicken nuggets and sometimes fish fingers were available for children and every night it was chips, rice or plain spaghetti. Fresh vegetables were not seen all week.

I would not recommend this hotel, it is so far away from everywhere and the free shuttle bus only seats 8 people. The footpaths are lethal if you want to walk out and cars park on the footpaths so you are made to walk in the very busy road.

There was a lot more we were unhappy with and we won’t be back.

Worst ever holiday

This hotel is located in a quiet and privileged position, between Alvor, Praia da Rocha, and the lively cosmopolitan city of Portimão. In the centre of Alvor, a few kilometres away, there are many shopping and entertainment venues, in addition, Faro Airport is less than 55 kilometers away from the hotel. The hotel is near magnificent beaches, such as the Alemão Beach, Vau Beach, Rocha Beach and Alvor Beach. In the surroundings there are three of the best golf courses in the Algarve: Alto Golf, the Palmares Golf and Penina Golf Course, in addition to various water parks and theme parks. All flats have the amenities required for a comfortable stay as home appliances and cozy furniture, spectacular views are available for some of them from the window.
