Jupiter Algarve

Lovely hotel with a beautiful seaside view.  The hotel pool area has been the highlight of the stay where we were always well looked after by Marcelo and Roger. Drinks were also great (and served in a timely manner). The DJ by the pool was also phenomenal.

Best hotel and staff in the area

We recently enjoyed a 9 day break at this lovely hotel ,on arrival our rooms were luckily  ready for us, we had a side sea view 5th floor and yes there a very decent sea view!
Everything about the hotel was superb it was always immaculate the staff were very friendly and helpful (the free map of Portimao and Praia da Rocha especially so) and it was right in front of the beach (took quite a few steps to get up and down there though LOL) the main strip of bars shops and restaurants also very handy was the taxi rank and bus stop (the number 33 bus the main one to use).
The only fault (only minor but you get this at a lot of hotels anyway) were the usual people "reserving" the sun beds not usually a problem as here were always plenty available.
The breakfast buffet was really nice just help yourself to whatever you liked, during the time we spent at the pool there was a nice snack bar perfect to grab something to eat/drink.
There were lots of places to go we visited the lovely town of Silves (1.65 euro train fare from Portimao!)  across the river was Ferragudo don't miss taking the water taxi great fun and further down the coast the lovely resorts of Alvor and Lagos.
Also we went to the Aqua Portimao shopping centre (about 7.50 euros by taxi) nice to go here on the rare occasion of a cloudy day.
So what we go here again? Absolutely yes!!!

Best hotel quality and service

The Jupiter Algarve is beautiful, with an airy and inviting reception area. All the staff are efficient and friendly.
The rooms cleaned to a very high standard, are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. 
A great selection of food is available for the buffet breakfast. The pool area is lovely and Marcello was super efficient running and serving at the bar; welcoming, friendly and ready to make us and all the other guests feel we were important and much valued clients.

Great Hotel

From the moment we arrived it was wonderful, as we had arrived 30 mins before check in we were given a complimentary drink each from the bar. The staff especially Marcelo introduced himself to us. Upon checking in reception told us we had been given a free upgrade from side view to full sea view with a large balcony. The hotel was spotless, the room light and airy, never too hot. Air con was exceptional. Mini bar well stocked. The staff all round from waiters, reception to cleaners and restaurant were polite and welcoming. Restaurant was great breakfast huge tasty choices in buffet style, no need for lunch after that. We ate one night in restaurant on Portugese evening and loved it. We will certainly return the sooner the better.

With an average size of 28sqm, the Superior Rooms with Lateral Ocean View are equipped with double or twin bed, bathroom with shower cabin or bathtub, balcony with table and chairs, as well as privileged views over the Atlantic Ocean and Praia da Rocha beach, offering partial views of Arade river and Portimão; also allow the accommodation of a 3rd guest (extra bed) or a free crib (upon request).

These comfortable Standard Single Rooms feature views overlooking the interior patio and Portimao and are equipped with a private bathroom, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, telephone, Flat-screen TV with Satellite channels and free Wi-Fi.

With an average size of 19sqm, the Standard Double or Twin Rooms are equipped with double or twin bed.

With an average size of 28sqm, the Premium Rooms with Frontal Ocean View are equipped with double or twin bed, bathroom with shower cabin or bathtub, balcony with table and chairs, offering privileged views over Praia da Rocha Beach and the Atlantic Ocean; also allow the accommodation of a 3rd guest (extra bed) or a free crib (upon request).
