Lovely hotel with lovely, clean rooms, free parking when we stayed as it was low peak time and close to lots of different things using a car, the near by beach is amazing and there is a lot of restaurants near by! There is entertainment if you are interested in that sort of thing and there is a small pool with lots of lounge chairs!

This was a little gem. Great rooms and polite and very helpful staff. right next to beautiful beaches. . 
pillows and duvets are so comfortable.  nice grounds and inside is modern.  I live in Portugal and it has a great reputation here. highly recommended

We arrived late and checking we're very helpful also during stay for bus routes etc. Our room had a side sea view with balcony which l hadn't expected so pleasantly surprised. Staff very friendly and hotel was very modern and spotless. Room cleaned every day and towels changed. Lovely bathroom too. Right beside several beaches which all join up at low tide. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance and main strip not too far away. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Surpassed our expectations 

Room - soft and comfy bed and pillows, cleaned daily, toilet is A+, got a room with sea view so was lovely to stay in the balcony some days, 

Location - close to the beach ⛱️, also close to the areas that offer some night life vibes 

Food- only had the breakfast which was fair , definitely good enough for most people.

Staff - a lot of them are nice, friendly and helpful, you might meet one or two rude staff but those are few and far between.

You'd pay a refundable deposit of 100€ for potential damages.

Portimao Simao

A good hotel in a great location. We really liked this hotel. The rooms were comfortable, the sea view was amazing. What made it really good was how friendly the staff were, particularly at breakfast and in the bar. It was very laid back and encouraged relaxation. The pool area was lovely but we mostly went to the beaches as they are so close to the hotel and the views are amazing. The location is really good, go right and in a few mins you reach Vau beach which has loads of good cafes, watersports etc. Do the cliff top walk from Vau, good views and flowers. Go left and there are a few small beaches and Cloque bar which is good for a sundowner. A bit further left along a pedestrian promenade you’ll reach Praia da Rocha strip with restaurants, bars and ice cream! It is far enough away though for a really peaceful holiday. We took a taxi to Ferragudo then a water taxi back to P da Rocha. If you don’t have a car recommend Happy Days for a personal transfer.

Loved this hotel!

Situated just above the Praia dos Castelos Beach, this apart hotel enjoys fantastic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the town of Praia da Rocha. The beautiful beaches of Praia da Rocha and Praia do Vau and the centre of Portimão, the largest town on the West Algarve, with its restaurants, bars and shopping facilities are within easy reach. Several golf courses are just a short drive away.
