Pinhal da Marina Vilamoura

We had a 3 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was great! Clean, quite modern (had read reviews saying it was all a bit dated? - not the apartment we had!) ... Lovely and quiet. Grateful we had a lift in our block as we were on the top floor! Comfortable and just what we needed. The restaurant next to the pool was nice enough (not too pricey - again had read somewhere that the prices were crazy? Didn't think so at all...) Pool was lovely, bit cold but refreshing when needed to cool down after being in 28c temperatures! Breakfast was nice, basic (continental) but just what we needed! The staff were warm & friendly - we felt very welcome. Happy to have stayed here, would recommend. Thanks!

Happy, 3 nights in a lovely apartment!

Excellent base about a 15 minute walk into Vilamoura harbour, away from the crowds, went in half term week and no fight for the sun beds. Accommodation was clean, kitchen area was well stocked and staff were helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here.

Recommend place to stay

Clean apartments, the cleaning lady came each day and changed towels and cleaned our apartment. Toilet roll, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets were given complementary. Lovely staff. 15-20mins walk to the Marina , 10-15 mins walk to the Spar shop. Would definitely return. 

Fabulous stay

Our second time staying at Pinhal da Marina. After years of doing AI we opted for a change and found Pinhal still gave us the pool for our son to make friends during the day on a decent sized development with tennis, football, playground etc but we didn’t have to listen to the daily entertainment or eat buffet style 3 times a day. The apartments are well equipped and very clean with daily maid service. We had a ground floor apartment which enjoyed a lovely terrace and extended into the peaceful grounds. 
We enjoyed the 15-20 min walk down to the marina every day to choose our evening meal and ate in some fantastic restaurants. To go further a field we used the Uber app which is seamless, taxi in seconds and very reasonable. 
My husband played golf 3 days at different clubs and was able to get some good recommendations for best places to shop and eat. 
Overall we had a great holiday and look forward to returning to Pinhal. 

Home from home

Not our first time in Vilamoura, but our first stay in the Pinhal Da Marina and we can not fault the place at all.  We've just come back from a one week stay and there's nothing negative to say about the place.  We had a one bedroom ground floor self-catering apartment in block 3 and it had every amenity you could ever need.  Our apartment had direct access to the gardens and our own sun loungers.  The location is great, a 8-10 minute walk downhill to the nearest Spar and a 15-minute walk to the fabulous marina.  The place is spotlessly clean and in a very quiet location, but still close enough to the bars, shops and restaurants.  Wi-fi was excellent, the safe is free, air-con was brilliant and there was an iron and ironing board in the apartment.
We would definitely recommend the Pinhal Da Marina.
Top tip - walk to the Marina but go to the main road (near the Luna Olympus hotel) and order an Uber.  Some afternoons the price for a taxi back to the apartment was 2 Euros 80, and the most we paid at night was 4 Euros 50, and we never waited more than 2-3 minutes.
Another top tip - an Uber to the airport was 19 Euros (it's 45 Euros in a private taxi).
