Nobu is a fab hotel, great friendly staff and some really fun restaurants. Dont stay in “M” rooms, we were kept awake till 2am by the partying both nights and then the maids would hang outside our room in the morning talking loudly so we were kept awake late and woken early. Nice big room with good amenities, ours was ground floor so it smelt of sewerage (typical Spanish drains!).  

Most important, there is a crime problem. In the hotel you feel safe (although anyone can walk in/out) but Management assured us there are cameras. 

We wear expensive watches (big mistake and i urge anyone going to this area to leave all valuables at home) and felt like we were being watched when we were on the beach. There is an operation going on at the Promenade outside the hotel by the beach. 

We were chased by a guy on a motorbike (balaclava and crash helmet)  who was going to attack us but we jumped the beach wall and ran on to beach to a beach bar to escape. 

This was 5.30pm in daylight and the police say they will shoot you. We feel very lucky. 

So please be smart, do not take any valuables, its not worth your life.

Costa Del Crime

Very swanky hotel situated on the broader Puente Romano resort. Stylish room, comfortable bed. Great dining options on the resort, favourites were Sea Grill for breakfast and Nobu for dinner.

However, it was very poor value for money. Bathroom door in the room was not working, so was unable to open it in the morning and had to wait for a technician to come in and fix. The hotel staff did not address the issue, merely sent the technician each morning. Would expect better from a hotel if this caliber. 

Generally the service was very average, which is a big miss for this hotel. Front desk was often not staffed and had to wait around for someone to come over. At times the staff were rude, not answering questions or saying they simply didn’t know. They should get some training from their counterparts in Asia.

Rooms were very noisy at night (partying going on outside til 3-4am every night). 

Overall very disappointing stay, I would not return.

This was for sure the best hotel in Spain. The service is 10* as well as the food and accomodwtion. I am coming back every year for sure.
