Pool

Writing this on our last day at the Barcelona Castillo and so sad to be leaving. The hotel is just fantastic and the staff are really customer focused and always at hand to help. We felt really safe around the complex and the resort the beach is immaculate although there is a nominal charge for beach beds. The maud service is second to none and they work tirelessly. We initially went bed and breakfast but found that the hot food at the castilo restaurant was always tepid or cold so we would use the restaurant Tindaya the staff here were fab and it’s so organised. The food both choice and quality was amazing and was always hot and well prepared. The hotel beach bar is great for drinks and snacks and the marine restaurants are great although we found they could be doing with more staff here as service was a bit slow but the good food and marvellous view makes up for that. We have stayed at Barcelo hotels before but this is one of the best. Looking to the October week or next year will definitely consider Barcelo. Thank you everyone for a great vacation.

Barcelo Castilo June 2024

Couldn’t get into room till 3pm. 
Lovely Superior One Bedroom bungalow, comfy beds nice little kitchen and good cold fridge air con excellent,( we was all inclusive so did not Use hob etc), shower ok,was in block 1 across the road from reception, short walk to the mafasca restaurant breakfast was good even thoe went in at 7am but food don’t come out until 7.30am,lunch & dinner was good not , you can use the sister hotel Barceló Fuerteventura Mar a larger restaurant we used it a couple of times but got told we had to book ( but they let us in).
Pools,for the size of hotel they is not enough Sunbeds round them.
Beach was like hard cat litter,10.50 euros for 2 beds & umbrella no beach bar. 
Overall we had a lovely week.

Excellent get away

We have just returned from a week stay at Barceló castillo and it was excellent from start to finish.  A late in the day flight time meant arriving at the hotel nearer to midnight, transfer from the airport was approximately 20 mins. 

our allocated room was perfect, 2 very private balcony areas (one dining area and one with 2 loungers) they both got sun all day long so had plenty of time to soak up the rays.  Well equipped kitchen, separate living area which could easily sleep another guest, bathroom and spacious bedroom, both areas had individual AC units which was a great option. 

The facilities were excellent and the flexibility of being able to use Barceló Mar as well meant there was always choice.  Entertainment staff around the pool always encouraging guests to join in but never too pushy. 

Finally, a special mention for Ima in housekeeping who was absolutely perfect and a pleasure to meet her, she really is a credit to your hotel. Thank you Ima 😀

Excellent !! We will be back !

We were a family of 3 staying in a superior bungalow on a half board basis for a week booked as a package with Jet2

*The Highlights*

- all staff from reception to the restaurant and marina bars were friendly and welcoming 
- the bungalow was spacious modern and clean and in a good location on the resort next to the sea. 
- great nights sleep with a really comfy bed 
- the resort is clean and spacious with everything in a nice walking distance 
- drinks on the marina were a top highlight with sangria just €10! Lovely spot 
- as we went in April there were plenty of sun loungers by the pool.
- the beach is beautiful 
- drinks were well priced 
- loved the in resort check in of bags by jet 2 on departure. 

* The Lowlights *
- the entertainment on an evening wasn’t great and there was no atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner were busy but not sure where all the guests went after.
- the boardwalk outside the hotel to marina and the walkway to the mar hotel needs attention as it’s very uneven and many people were tripping and falling over.
- the food was ok but I wouldn’t say 4 star quality. 
- wasn’t a fan of the mar eatery was a lot bigger and crowded and didn’t like that way the dining room was sectioned off to guests who were all inc plus seemed very dated way of segregating people . Just have a separate room altogether like the adult only side. 
- the storage in the bungalow for clothes was very limited for 3 people 

We were disappointed with the resort of Caleta de Fuste and probably wouldn’t return it’s very small with hardly anything there. It’s very Brit heavy and lacked any culture. The marina area near Castillo was the best area. 
We just wanted a week to relax in the sun so it suited on this occasion. 

The hotel is lovely but we probably wouldn’t return just for personal preference. If you don’t have children id look at the adult only areas of the resort as at meal times the dining area at Castillo was very child heavy I felt like I was in a crèche.

A week relaxing at Barcelo!

As a solo traveller, I was delighted to be upgraded to a quieter, less crowded area of the complex, with plenty of sunbeds, daily maid service, a separate restaurant and super-friendly staff.  I felt safe and cared-for. 

Upgrade to Royal was just perfect

Located right on Caleta de Fuste Beach, Barcelo Castillo Beach Resort features 3 swimming pools, a Thalasso Spa, a daily entertainment programme and a kid's club. The Thalasso Spa includes seawater pools, hydromassage jets, a sauna, sensation showers, massages, and a gym. At the marina you can practise a wide range of water sports. There are also 2 golf courses within 10 minutes' drive. There are several restaurants at Barcelo Castillo Beach Resort offering local and international cuisine. You will also find many bars, including a poolside bar, sports bar and a theatre with evening shows.
