4th time at the Coral Cotillo Beach hotel for us. 17 fabulous nights in sunny Fuerteventura   A great location. Highly recommended

Fabulous break

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely,  very friendly. The pool is excellent plenty of sun beds. Unfortunately the incessant beeping and whining noise of the crane and the hammering coming from the building site opposite the hotel tend to spoil the day. When booking this hotel we opted for half board, the evening meal was advertised as buffet style but this wasn't  so in our nine days there. Instead we were presented with a 'menu' and had to chose a main meal from a very limited selection. We tried it twice but the food was poor and we ate out the rest of the time and the breakfasts were not much better. We did mention the food quality to members of staff and we were told it was because the hotel was quiet. It certainly wasn't what we paid quite a lot of money for! The only place to get a drink from in the hotel was from the pool bar and that closed at 9-30 pm surely they could open a bar where you could sit and have a drink later, after 9-30 that's it seen more life in a cemetery

Disappointing.

We have just returned from a lovely holiday with friends (2 couples). The hotel and grounds are really nice and the rooms and beds very comfortable. Staff are friendly. We had B&B basis and loved our breakfast every morning. Lots of choice. The beaches are great, lots of little coves and lovely soft sand. We found some nice restaurants to eat at in the evenings and all our meals were really good. We got the bus to Corralejo one evening. It was just over 3 euros each. Took nearly an hour so we got a taxi back. El Cotillo is a much quieter area and some bits are a bit 'scruffy'. The only negative about the hotel was that the Rooftop Bar and Solar Restaurant were never open and the area is very quiet (not many bars).

Lovely holiday with friends

Nice modern clean hotel. Rooms are great, beds are comfy.  The room has a bath but no plug so unable to use that. You also have a nespresso machine and fridge.  The pool is large and there is ample space, no fighting for sun loungers.  There is no music around the pool and it is very quiet, if that’s your vibe then it’s great.  There isn’t really evening entertainment, there was a singer one night for a hour or so.  Rooftop bar wasn’t open.  Gym is well equipped.  There is a supermarket next door which closes at 10pm, we arrived around 11pm and nothing was open.  We were desperate for some water so had to go on a walk to try and find a pub open that would sell us water. I really think the hotel could provide bottled water in the rooms for late arrivals.  The area seems to be up and coming, there is a lot of construction work going on around the hotel.  The area is very quiet, nothing is open late.  If you walk right out of the hotel there is around 4/5 restaurants near the beach, and if you go left there is some great restaurants with great views of the sea.  We had b&b and the food choices for breakfast were great.  The hotel does offer a buffet style dinner for €18 which does not include drinks. You can eat and drink for less in the restaurants around the area.  We got a taxi into Corralejo which is around €28 euro and takes 20/30 mins. Defo worth visiting here to break up the holiday. Lots of shops, great beach and lots of restaurants/pubs around the harbour.

Great hotel, area quite

Absolutely would not recommend this hotel. Firstly in front of the hotel there’s a huge building site with a crane that you can see from the pool area. There’s constant beeping and drilling all day while you’re by the pool. If you book a room that isn’t a pool facing room, beware because your balcony might be overlooking this total mess.
We travelled with our 10 week old baby and were surprised to find the rooms that are advertised as having en suites with baths have no plugs so not only is the bath pointless but we couldn’t use the sink to wash our son. When we mentioned it to the staff we given a random plug that didn’t fit and continued to struggle with the most basic tasks. The rooms are also advertised as having ‘mini fridges’ which was important for us for milk storage for our baby. Every morning after storing my formula and expressed milk in the fridge, we’d wake up to find it gone off as well as the food we’d bought from the supermarket. I also notified the hotel about this and I was told that the fridges are not actually fridges but ‘coolers’. Missing the most basic of requirements again. The room’s also don’t come with kettles which made preparing formula impossible.
We had booked a ‘premium double room’ with Jet 2 and were surprised to find 2 single beds shoved together on tiled flooring. This meant that the beds moved around in the night and my husband and I woke up with a huge gap between us. We had to constantly push them back together again.
The last night of the holiday our tap water came out brown. I went downstairs to notify reception and no one was there.
The hotel receptionists had bad attitudes and constantly gave us stink eye. Jessica on reception was particularly awful and had zero customer service skills.
One pro of the hotel was that it is clean and the cleaning staff were lovely. The buffet breakfast was nice but the buffet in the evening was cold. We liked going to Leonardo’s down the road for the best four cheese pizza you’ll ever have.
Do not book this hotel!
