Amazing resort with great atmosphere. Everything runs smoothly like clockwork and I know that it takes a lot of work to pull it off....so kudos to the management and staff. It has several pools and it's also close to the beach. We will definitely be back 

Beautiful resort

The overall experience was great. It was our first experience to Gran Canaria. The decision to book with easyjet and use their promo offer saved a few hundred £s for the two of us, compared to Tui, On the Beach and Love Holiday and suited us as we could fly from Luton Airport during the day. We booked half board, which meant a really great buffet breakfast and an average dinner buffet. We eat out a couple of times as the buffet in the evening was a little limited and felt like a canteen, albeit in lovely surroundings. The main buffet is a street food style setup, which means lots of people bobbing in and out of each of the different food stations and could get busy but expected at a buffet setup with the volume of people at the popular times. No complaints just it is what it is and to be fair, the difference between B&B and Half board, makes it more than worthwhile for the breakfast alone, so the fact we eat out twice didn't matter. The buffet is great if you have young or teenage kids. The Hotel was 5 star and apart from the buffet (4 star probably), it lived up to its rating. Fabulous pools, with a 103m length, from end to end, in the main pool and a circuit lazy river style pool available too. So, a really great setup to get your lengths in and if you have kids! The securing of the sunbeds was the usual bun fight, meaning the earlier you secured some, the better your position to your pool of choice. Generally, you need to be down to the beds for a nice position by 8.30am. You could then leave your towel and go off to breakfast and return at your leisure. As with all these style hotels, the signs say you can't reserve, but you have to, and the staff ignore it. There is a swim up bar, which is OK, tough to get served as they are busy table serving and bar serving on the poolside, but nice once you get a drink. Overall, the staff are efficient and friendly enough, but very busy as this is a very large resort, with over 1,100 rooms across its 8 floors. However, because of its setup with bars and pools, it doesn't feel overcrowded. It was full when we were there as it was a Spanish holiday. The whole resort is very tidy/clean. The resort doesn't feel 20 years old. Its position is great, with easy access to the beach, which is a 5 min walk from the back of the resort and also close to both sea facing restaurants and the front, cheaper roadside bars, restaurants and supermarkets The restaurants in the area behind the hotel are more expensive and you will pay 120- 140 euros for a two-course meal and a bottle of wine for two. I would definitely return to the Hotel and would be happy to use easyjet package holidays again, if they were the cheapest at the time of booking. We met a few people who holiday regularly in Gran Canaria and their advice was to stick to the South in the winter months as the weather is better. The Meloneras area has an affluent feel about it. The beach is large, but due to windy weather, we preferred the poolside at the hotel. We stayed the last week of June 2024 and the weather was around 28 degrees and warm in the evenings. Perfect!

Lovely resort hotel and area.

Beautiful hotel. Massive pool. The hotel is beautiful from the minutes you drive through the gates. The staff are more than happy to help you out. There are numerous shops located outside the hotel for some retail therapy. Will hopefully be back next year.

Pure luxury

We have been holidaying at the Lopesan hotels in this area since 2009. We usually stay at the Lopesan Baobab hotel over the road and have stayed at this hotel, The Costa Meloneras,  once before. Now our son no longer holidays with us we decided to return to the Costa knowing it had had a revamp recently. We were not disappointed. 

What a fabulous hotel! Location is perfect access to the surrounding shops, bars and the beach. Hotel is spotless so are the rooms. We treated ourselves to a sea view room which was great. However we were overlooking the entertainment area too so can be loud on an evening up until 11pm but great for sitting on balcony and enjoying the entertainment too. It didn’t bother us at all as the entertainment was great. 

We opted for B&B board this time as opposed to half board we usually do as we know there’s some lovely restaurants on the doorstep. Breakfast at 9.30-10am is very busy and quite intense so if you like a quiet start to your day avoid this time. Reception did warn us it was busy at these times so it was our choice. Food on offer was amazing, every way to cook an egg was available and the variety of different food for all cultures was brilliant. 

Sun loungers were readily available when we ambled down at 10.30-11am but then we don’t want to be right next to the pool or the noise and there’s just the two of us so didn’t have a problem finding beds and parasol in a full sunny spot. At the start of our holiday(21st June) it was busier and there were lots of people reserving beds then not appearing until afternoon which is naughty. This meant people were wondering around trying to find loungers. Yes, the hotel need to monitor this but at the end of the day it’s up to us as adults to respect our fellow holiday makers and don’t reserve beds if your not using them, it’s just bad manners and disrespectful. The beach is close by so also an option to sun bath if need be. There’s whirl pools dotted about too so these are nice if you don’t want to swim or can’t swim but like a dip. There was a family that thought it was ok to bring their  kids in to splash about everyday. Again, be respectful whirl pools are not for under 18’s ( states this on the pool rules notice) and there’s more than one huge swimming pool for kids to play in so there’s really no need to encroach on the adult areas. There’s pool bars dotted around too so plenty of food and drinks on offer.

 Didn’t use the Spa this time but used it in the past and it was great. Whole area is spotlessly clean. 

We will definitely be returning to this hotel and fully recommend. The little niggles are not the hotels issues they’re mine and just observations of other peoples behaviour and manners. Great hotel for all age groups, coupes and families but absolutely not for young groups looking to party. 

Booked though TUI, no issues at airports in fact would say it was seamless from start to finish. Best airport experience we’ve had despite the reports of huge queues.

Fabulous Hotel and Perfect Location

Hotel info sadly lacking.
No all the info is on the app which by the way is used to book your evening slot at dinner.
This along with a host of other info was not mentioned at check in.
Rooms are clean and staff are very amiable. 
Breakfast is sort of ok but menu is lacking.
Evening meals are much better but desert menu is one huge let down.
No choice virtually as most of the small portion of cube sized sweets should really come with a straw.
Ice cream virtually locked up behind a cabinet which has to be requested.
Trying to get rest in our room was impossible as we were interrupted numerous times at one time after 9pm checking on hand towels.
Before that staff checking the mini bar then a workman checking the sink.
Then house keeping doing the room.
All in all if you want peace and quiet dont expect to get it here.
