Cala Ratjada, Majorca

Cala Ratjada

Cala Ratjada is a popular area for a family holiday. The area is one of the most important fishing ports in Majorca which has a number of fishing boats including the Mallorcan Llaut. Visitors and residents here like to take the ferry from here to the neighbouring island Menorca.

There is plenty to see here in Cala Ratjada. There are several beaches to see from the promenade to which you will pass fisherman's cottages. This coastal town has a picturesque rocky coastline which keeps a lot of its original charm. Although not being renowned for being a resort for shopping, there is a strip in the town with markets, however, there are plenty of shopping opportunities in nearby resorts. A sure sight to see would be the 19th-century lighthouse at Punta de Capdepera as well as the historic gardens scattered around the area.
