GF Isabel - Hero

The hotel is nice and clean on first impressions however we found cockroaches every day in our room, we reported it and the place was treated but it didn’t help.

The room was a ground level family room next to the pool.

Everything else was lovely

We are currently on say 7 of 10 days and are looking forward to getting home.

The hotel is huge and clean, perfectly located for the beach and shopping centres. 2 supermarkets very close by.
However it is not for us, maybe that's just Tenerife but it feels very brits abroad.
Queuing for sunbeds and people pushing and shoving. Having to leave my family having break to make sure we were near the pool is not relaxing. No inflatables in the pool makes a nice change,  the main pool is huge but quickly becomes very crowded.
Breakfast is chaos a wife variety but so crowded, my 4 year old was pushed over on a few occasions.
We are staying half board so make our own lunch, but the pool bar has plenty of options for those staying all inclusive. If not all inclusive the drinks are very expensive a calipo ice lolly wad €3.50!!!
Dinner is chaos also a variety but sometimes limited, it is beyond busy very unpleasant and we have chosen to eat out numerous times as a result.
The rooms are spacious we have a one bedroomed apartment but it is looking dated. Beds are very soft and something my husband has really struggled with. It has a sea view which is nice and is cleaned every day with my sons bed being made up with children's bedding which he loved.

We've done our own trips by hiring a car, Hertz were amazing and upgraded us and we've been all over the island. Mount Tiede is a must, Siam park was so busy I wouldn't go back and we went to the North.

So in conclusion its not for us, but if you like a busy pool with lots going on and being around other brits you'll love it. But we won't be back.

Big family British hotel

Lovely family hotel. Went with my husband,  2 daughters, son in law and 18 month grandson. 
Apartments were clean and spacious with a huge balcony. Found the beds comfortable. Good pressure from shower with constant supply of hot water. No issues with cockroches/ants. Air conditioning worked well in living room and bedroom. 
We used the quieter pool area, never an issue getting 5 sunbeds no matter what time of day which was a huge bonus. My grandson loved the small pool with the slides.  Didn't use the main pool but looked busy.
The entertainment at night ranged from ok to excellent.  It was inside and I thought this would bother me but it was fine. Table service for drinks. 
All the staff were so friendly.
Liked the location however the hill on way up from the beach was a bit steeper than I expected but managed it fine with my dodgy knee.
Now for the food and my reason for a 4 star score. The breakfast was fine, lots of choice no complaints.  Lunch at the snack bar was also good and I liked that you could make your own toasties. For me it was the evening meal that let the food side of the hotel down.  There was alot to chose from but I just found the quality was not the best. Spoke with other guests (repeat guests) that said the food wasn't as good as it had been on previous visits.
Would I return? Yes without a doubt as it ticked all the boxes and was good value for money.

Good value family hotel

Left my bird shaped shower sponge in the bathroom trusting I would find it there the next time I need it. It disappeared into thin air. I informed the hotel staff about this incident and asked, if by chance roomkeeping stuff took it by mistake. They apologised and said they would check, but I never got my sponge back. I came here to relax, not to be annoyed and stressed by personal belongings going missing. Avoid this hotel, if you value your possessions and your inner peace.

Disappointed

Highly recommend this hotel for family. The staffs were friendly and nice. It’s like a group of villa and you only have 1 or two neighbours which made it so quiet in evening. You don’t need to worry about the other happy and drunk customers’ noise when they were back. Especially when you travel with young kids, a quiet and safe environment is all you need. After checking out the hotel offered place to store luggage and show room. My kid enjoyed mini disco every night and had a lot of laugh and fun. The food was lovely! It was buffet for breakfast and dinner, a lot of choices and they cooked delicious!
The only thing I would suggest (not complain) is, there should be more security cameras to install in hotel. Especially in Bar area and restaurant. There was an incident happened the 2nd day of our holiday. My kid’s iPad was stolen (then found). When we were dancing at mini disco, I left my bag on a seat and one of customers decided to take it away. As soon as I realised it was missing, I asked a lady at reception to help. She helped me walked around and talked with the bar and restaurant staffs. Luckily, maybe the person took it away had concerns when saw us walking around with hotel staffs, or because my iPad kept making sound as it was put on stolen mode,  when we looked around and walked back to the bar after 20 mins, it was left on a high stool and we got it back! However, there’s no security camera in bar area, if he or she took it away rather than scared and left it, it was impossible to get it back. Fortunately it was just a minor incident and didn’t ruin our holiday. All staffs were helpful and fully understand our stress. Some people might just be low and mean and thought they can take benefit of stealing a kid’s toy. A security camera definitely would be great help!
In summary it was a pleasant holiday and when we go back to Tenerife I would definitely consider going back to this hotel again!
