Pool

For the size of the hotel the pool was really small, the room was cramped, we had to pull out the bed to get in the wardrobe and it was a squeeze to get between a large coffee table and sideboard to the patio, a shortage of electrical sockets, when doing your hair I had my straighteners on the draining board or in the bathroom sink as there wasn’t a unit, we stayed 2 weeks 1/2 board, breakfast was as expected, but the evening meal was disgusting one night we couldn’t recognise anything so we ate every meal out, the only good thing the staff did for us was book us a taxi to take us to the airport home

One big disappointment

Just had another week Santa Maria. 4th visit. 3 with friends this time took the hubby. For a 3 star found the food very good. Bit same for breakfast but even meal although not the biggest choice everything was cooked and presented lovely. Added bonus was a microwave . Hubby likes his food hot hot so worked well for him quick blast. All staff very pleasant. Pool area nice and not loud music blaring so could relax and read . Bit of refurbs going on . Odd bit of noise can’t be helped then. Our room was spot on. Sea view air con. Hope to be back next year and hopefully can put request in for same room.

Nice hotel

We had a two bedroom apartment, balcony was a great size. Very quiet at night. 

Staff were always very pleasant to deal with. We lost one of our bags on the first day and they went out of their way to help us get it back. 

Very good value for 9 days half board. Plenty to choose from. Only thing is food was a bit bland sometimes, but great for the price.

Great location for the beach and supermarket conveniently across the road. Great number of restaurants to choose from close to the hotel. Pool is a bit small but still decent. Plenty of sunbeds. 

Overall a fabulous hotel, would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous hotel

This was our second visit to the santa maria Hotel what can we say we have had another amazing 10 night stay our last family holiday as a family of 4 with our daughter now over 18.  Special thanks to Carlos our friend for life if you need anything or any help contact him he is such an amazing person, Carlos you again made our holiday and more so my husbands birthday that we celebrated with you, you arranged a cake for him with his breakfast this is how amazing this hotel is as the hundreds of guests that were there the waiter knew who my hubby was, and then we had a lovley bottle of bubbly in the room with 2 glasses such an amazing day thank you so much. The hotel is spotless the staff work every second of the day to make sure it is sparkling and clean all the staff are friendly and approachable, we requested the same room we had last year 642 we know its not guaranteed but Carlos arranged this for us. We stayed bed and breakfast The breakfast was plentiful and could always find something. The pool is great as it goes from a shallow end to a deep end so perfect for younger children. Plenty of activities through the day by the pool but they are not offended if you say no thank you they understand you would like to just relax. They do a deep clean 2 days a week so it is open a little later on these mornings. The hotel is so close to all the shops and beach if you are not pool people some of the cheap shops to visit for food and drinks are stop and shop to the left of the hotel, hiperdino across from the hotel and the shopping tang du under the hotel they sell anything and everything. We hired a mobility scooter from monkey island to the right of the hotel as you come out it was the best 40 euros for the full day we spent you can really cover the area and no you dont need to be old or mobility issues they are great fun and so many people use them. We were all  so sad to leave we even shared tears with Carlos on our last day this is the impact this place and amazing staff have on You. You will not regret booking this amazing hotel, we landed home on Thursday 13th June 24 early hours and the following Monday we have already booked to come back next year. Until then Carlos and your amazing staff thank you so much for another amazing holiday with memories that will stay forever we will be back next July but only 3 of us lol. Good location - everything on doorstep , Siam park only 20mins walk and Definitely worth a visit , go early as ques are a joke 
Hotel basic but very clean 
Breakfast - something for everyone

Would definitely come back 
Transfer was last to drop off so is longer than quoted but that’s jet 2 issue

Lovely family hotel

This property is 4 minutes walk from the beach. Just 300 m from La Pinta Beach in Playa Fañabe, HOVIMA Santa María offers tennis courts and outdoor pools, heated in winter.
