Pool

2* maybe 3* at a push but definitely not 4*. 
Food 
The food options were horrendous - chips, potato’s, plain rice, veg, one meat option and one fish option. That is all you get for lunch and dinner. The soup was the same 2 days in a row. Then there is salad and desserts are the same every meal. Different flavour of moose- jelly - random little pots of ice cream and some version of weird jelly type custard. 
The breakfast options were also poor. I struggled to eat every morning. If you are gluten free don’t even bother as you won’t be able to eat anything. The quality of the food was okay, but not what a hotel that’s saying they are a 4* should be producing. We were only there for 3 nights but ended up eating out the whole time. 
Snack bar - it’s not a snack bar - the option is a burger - packet of biscuits and plain slices of bread. There is no ice cream at all. 
CHILDREN - there are no food options for children at all. It was all very disappointing. 
DRINKS
To have a drink you have to pay a deposit for a cup and then you take it back at the end of the day and you get it back. Drink options were fine but nothing special. You can only have hot drinks with your breakfast as they close the machines in the restaurant after this, You can get hot drinks from the pool bar. They also stop your all inclusive at 12pm and cut your wristband off no matter what time you leave. I have never had this at any hotel before. It’s just penny pinching and poor service. 

Pool- doesn’t open until 10am and there wasn’t sun on the pool until about 11:00. The lifeguards were nasty and were clearly there just to upset people. He took toys off children and deflated balls and floats and didn’t  give them back. Shouted at people if  they didn’t shower before they got in the pool. This is not a family friendly hotel at all. I would avoid completely if you have children. 

Room - we stayed in 221 which is a corner room so was large but they had wasted space and not used it or designed it to feel comfortable or pleasant at all. The room was run down and needed upgrading. All the furniture is old and worn. The bathroom tiles were black in between and the bathroom was dirty when we arrived. The bidet was broken and nearly fell over as its not nailed to the floor. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived was told 5 mins but it took an hour and half as they said something was broken. The outside furniture was dirty and cheap. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Everything was very basic and i would say almost hostel like.

Staff - they were polite and did what they needed to do but nobody went above and beyond to make the stay wonderful. As above about the lifeguards (both were just as bad as each other). The older man that runs the bar was very grumpy and abrupt and the bar was hurried to shut at 11 and he was shouting at people to finish their drinks and leave the bar in the evening. 

Entertainment - we only went down to the bar once but it was one man doing the entertainment and he was lovely but the quality was very poor and almost pointless having it. Again not children friendly.

Basic - 2* maybe 3* at a push

5th time at this hotel which says a lot.  Love the situation and with my ten+ bus card, my partner and I enjoyed trips to Las Americas, San Juan, and also The fabulous Fanabe beach.  You get a third off the fare with the bus pass and just get it topped up at a local shop or the Las Americas bus station.  Food is adequate and well in line with the 3 star rating.  You can always pay double for 4 star elsewhere if Prosecco and caviar at breakfast are your thing. There was lots of excellent fruit  on offer and always something to suit at lunch and dinner.  Porridge was on the menu at breakfast and that suited us Scots.   Staff are excellent, professional, kind and polite.  Was glad to get a lovely junior suit and and an “all day sunny balcony” which I always request (one time we were over-looking the children’s play area and the balcony was shaded and cold). I was a solo traveller and was looking forward to relaxing holiday ...this hotel is superb!! The food is amazing for the price very organised and very very clean! a small strip awaits and the black beach 5 minutes walk is lovely ! You can catch a bus few minutes away to larger towns but walking into lovely areas was amazing !! Do much hidden gems in this area. The hotel made my holiday expecially the 2 reception staff nuria and Adrian!! the room was huge and very clean spacious with 2 air conditions.  Bravo to the hotel and staff!!

I WOULD AVOID THIS HOTEL!
As we came to the hotel my girlfriend ordered me a cake (as it was my birthday) to be ready in the room as we walk in, the cake was not there, and the next day my girlfriend asked at the reception what happen, they forgotten to do this, bare in mind it was pre paid, my girlfriend asked for a refund, but she had to ask for it 3 days in a row.
The ROOM, it was awful, hairs on the bed sheets, stains on the sheet, smudges on the mirrors and horrible smell from the toilet.
The FOOD, I can’t even explain on how bad it was. On the second day there was alive COCKROACH walking by the food on the counter(I wish I took picture of it). Everyday was the same, some food was not fresh, put on the table from previous day, dirty plates and cups, I had to pick and chose from the plate/cups because it was that bad. 
We had all inclusive and we had to pay a €1 deposit on the cups at the bar.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, look for something better.

AVOID THIS HOTEL!

We've just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. Please ignore any negative reviews particularly about the food! There is plenty of choice for everyone, we are indeed staying in another country, so we should expect to be given there cuisine. If you want all English food, stay in the UK! It was tasty plentiful and the dining area was beautifully clean. 
One note is make sure you have a euro before you arrive for the reusable cups!
Our room was huge, on the top floor with a sea view, with separate living area,and very clean.
It is a peaceful hotel, and rarely heard a noise all night.
The staff here all work extremely hard. They are all helpful and cheerful and are a credit to the hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would love to return!
