We booked through Jet2 to stay here for one week with me, my husband and 2 children (2 year old and an 11 month old). We upgraded to a family.village suite all inclusive for an extra £500. This was to include the spa, complimentary access to the baby club for 2.hours, present for children on arrival, three a la carte dinner in their two restaurants (r

SPA

This is where the disappointment starts. We were emailed a month before saying construction work was going on and the spa would be closed. We were offered to change hotel but on the whole decided to stay as it was one of the only 2 hotels in Tenerife that have a baby club. (The main reason we chose this hotel was the baby club as having two children under 2 who are too young for kids clubs that are mostly 4 yrs +). Therefore we decided we didnt mind if the spa was closed. We were offered no compensation for this and to move to the other hotel with a baby club was an extra £400

BABY CLUB

We were informed by reception that you have to book the baby club 24 hours in advance. Everyday we went it was closed. I then went to reception and asked them as it was the main reason we paid extra for the Landi suite and came to.this hotel. We were told the woman who does it was off sick and they didnt know when she would return and that they couldnt open as the employee must have a child training certificate . Now I understand all this but having one person  to run the whole club for such a big hotel. If this is the case they shouldnt promote this service so much as it is very misleading.

CHILDRENS GIFT

They also said children get a.gift on arrival of the suite. This was another thing we didnt get

A LA CARTE DINNERS

Another reason we paid extra to upgarde to the Landi suite was the three a la carte dinners that were included. We were told they have two a la carte restaurants - a grill and an Italian

Upon arrival we were told the Grill would be closed for the duration of our stay because works were going on. We were not informed of this by Jet2. We booked the only other a la carte Italian but to be honest the food.selection was minimal. We asked for a baby bowl of lasagne to mash for our 11 month old but when the food.came out they said they couldnt give lasagne (despite it being on the menu) and she could only have the burger and chips. (A tough eat for not even a one year old). We decided not to return to the a la carte and stick with the buffet.

The water sllide was also closed for the durstions 

We did go to our Jet2 rep and voiced our concerns. These seemed to.fall on deaf ears. We were offered an extra 4 hours in the hotel room on departure.

The buffet did have an alright selection, but all the food was cold (glad there was a microwave)

Drink selection and etertainment were ok. 

Just a lot of disappointments that if we would have known we would have booked elsewhere

Alot of disappointments

This place has just exceeded expectations on all levels. 

We just stayed here for a week all inclusive and it was the best hotel we have ever stayed at, the animation team were brilliant, always buzzing with energy and getting the kids going. I loved the water polo! 

Was a pool closed with a slide, yes, but the hotel bought in two inflatable big slides and every single kid loved them! 

Was one of the la carte restaurant closed, yes, if this spoils your holiday get a life, it's an all Inclusive hotel, it's not a la carte restaurant anyway, non of them are where ever you go.

Food was very tasty, and ALWAYS hot, wasn't a massive selection compared to what we enjoyed last year in Kos, but that's the only little negative I can think of, and there was always something delicious so never a problem.

The evening entertainment was brilliant, live bands most nights, fun fair on a Saturday and on Friday night they had a DJ party and it was brilliant. Had loads of fun.

Crazy golf, high ropes, splash area, beach volley ball, ping pong, football, tennis, this place has pretty much everything covered for a great holiday. If you don't enjoy it here there's something wrong with you. 

The drinks are fantastic too, the best ever I've had at an all inclusive, Famous grouse whisky, Jimmy bean, the only bad drink was majito, that was bad. 

We never go back to the same hotel usually, but we enjoyed this place soo much I think we are coming back with friends next year. 

This place is exceedingly excellent value for money.

Siam park and loro park are a must too!

Heaven on Earth

Currently staying at the Landmar los gigantes as a family of 4. First time to this part of the island as normally stay at los cristianos or adje. The hotel is 100% catered for children and families so if you're a couple with no children I would potentially choose a different hotel. We are in a suite with a sea view and the room is great with air-conditioning and WiFi however the bathroom has no ventilation leaving it and everything in it very damp. Childrens entertainment during the day is great and so is the landi club however, the evening entertainment does not start until 9.30pm... a little late for children and alot of the evening mini disco is mainly Spanish. Food is decent , a tiny bit repetitive however great for the kids, pizza, pasta, burgers, pancakes etc etc. The gym at the hotel is DECENT! A full techno equipped gym but it lacks air-conditioning (possibly as the doors are open). We hired a car which I 100% recommend if you want to go to a nice beach (los cristianos 25mins away), jungle park or siam park. Also siam mall. Driving is super easy to get around and parking at the hotel is €8 per day. Towels are €10 deposit per towel at the hotel. We were disappointed the spa at the hotel was closed as well as the children's slide but we was made aware of this from easy jet before we flew and had the chance to change hotel. All in all. . . A great place for people with young children but you need a car if you like to go out and about 

Great for families with young children but you need a car to get around

We stayed here for a week as a family of 3 with a seven year old and our friends who also have a seven year old. We all had a great holiday with really good food, nice beer/ drinks, lots to do for the children and rooms are lovely and clean. The resort is now very busy but there are loads of loungers and space round the pools. Will go back for sure.

Fantastic holiday

We stayed with a 7 and 4yr old at the start of June and can't rate this hotel highly enough for the way it caters for children, plenty of amenities to keep them entertained at the hotel. The location isn't the best if you want to explore but plenty of things to fill your days at the hotel.

The best thing for us was the policy of removing towels from sunbeds in the mornings if people weren't using them. Without people being able to reserve sunbeds it meant you could have a leisurely morning and even at 10am still get a group of beds pretty much anywhere you wanted. This is actually one of the main reasons we want to return if this policy continues as made the whole experience so much more relaxing!

We had a couple of issues in our room (patio door not locking and broken shower head) and both issues were fixed within 15mins of us reporting them to reception which was fantastic! 

My only small issue was the lack of labelling at dinner, I have a banana allergy (not ideal in the Canaries) and had to avoid alot of desserts as I had no idea what was what and didn't want the hassle of trying to find someone to ask each night. 

Overall as a family hotel this is everything you need. The team are friendly, the hotel is clean and well maintained, the mini discos/entertainment is great and there is an abundance of amenities for children. The sea views are stunning and the size of the rooms are also a huge plus for us. We can't wait to return.

Wonderful family hotel
