My Preferred Arrival and Departure Stopover in Negombo
I have been staying at the Seahorse Hotel in Negombo since 2020, and it has become my preferred hotel whenever I arrive in or depart from Sri Lanka.
The hotel provides a comfortable and relaxing place to rest before or after a long international journey. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful, making every stay pleasant and stress-free. The convenient location in Negombo also makes it an excellent choice for travellers arriving at or departing from Bandaranaike International Airport.
After staying here many times over several years, I know I can depend on receiving the same warm hospitality and attentive service on every visit. It is an ideal place to unwind, recover from a flight and prepare for the next stage of your journey.
I am always happy to return and confidently recommend the Seahorse Hotel to anyone seeking a welcoming and dependable arrival or departure stopover in Negombo.

One night stay
Nice hotel with a beautiful garden and pool in a quiet neighborhood just outside the center of Negombo. Within walking distance of the beach. The bartender makes delicious cocktails, with a special mention for the fantastic banana milkshake. Furthermore, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The porter is a strong man 💪 who carried 3 heavy suitcases downstairs in one go! If you want, you can get your first Sri Lankan words lesson thrown in right away 😃

Great tour
Great guide, nice tour to see hows life in sri lanka. but the bikes ore too small for tall people.
A Negombo half day tour we'll never forget
Stuart and I booked the Negombo visitor half day tour through the Sea Horse Hotel and Spa, and it turned out to be a memorable highlight of our trip. Lalantha Samaraweera, the hotel's Recreation Executive, hosted the tour just for the two of us, and he took us to places we would never have thought to visit on our own. The dried fish market and dried fish factory were a real eye-opener. It was a genuine first look at how local people work and how they process their food, and we came away with a much deeper appreciation of daily life in Negombo. We also visited some beautiful churches and a Buddhist temple, which gave us a lovely sense of the area's history and faith. Lalantha was warm, knowledgeable and very well organised. He is a real credit to the hotel and a wonderful ambassador for Sri Lanka. If you're staying at the Sea Horse, don't miss it.
