Pool

I booked directly through the hotel's website- don't do this. I thought I would be saving money by going directly to them but what happens is that they quote you a good price and book it but don't charge you until you get there. Once there they charge you what they want. I paid $700 more than what they quoted me. The excuse was that it depended on the exchange rate which is BS because they it should have been less not more. The hotel room was also in poor condition- broken toilet seat, dripping faucets, stained pillow cases, dirty vents and mirrors. The food option which they don't mention on the website is that although it is all inclusive and they boast their restaurants, they require reservations a day in advance. Which were almost impossible to get because somehow they were always booked. In my 4 day stay I only got to eat at a restaurant once. The rest of the time you are eating at their buffet, which is also only open on certain days. If you are sensitive to smell, this is also not the place for you, they blast perfume in the lobby all day everyday- rather nauseating. To top things off the guy that checked me in was super rude and pretentious. 

Watch out for things they don't tell you on the website

We had an awesome time! Chantal at the pool was fantastic and made our trip even more special with great drinks, food, and even better service. Thank you Chantal. 
Beside the pool, the ocean water is so refreshing without being too cold. The sans is soft and inviting. The restaurant food are great. The hotel was also so accommodating to our requests. We will be back!

Awesome family trip!

I read several reviews plus watched videos trying to decide between Coral Beach or next door Hyatt Ziva.  We went with Coral Beach for the family vibe.  

Pros:
1.  Staff was very nice for all food/drink services throughout the hotel.  EXCEPT for one incident with the head chef in the Asian Torii restaurant, who decided to come out and scold my son-in-law for not finishing 2 of 6 spring rolls.  All the other Torii staff apologized for the situation to my kids, but management needs to let this guy go.  
2.  Rooms clean and maid service was good.  Same with overall hotel appearance.
3.  Pools and beach amazing for this side of Cancun.  We also stayed at Rui in the past, so knew waters were calm in this area.
4.  Marina with free kayak and free stand-up paddle boards were available.  Option for water craft rentals and other excursions were at average prices, nice to have on premises.
5.  Pizza oven at pool side was very good.  Pick what you want and he had it ready in ten minutes when you walk-up.
6.   Cafe was open 7 AM - 11 PM, good coffee options and gelato choices were excellent each day.   Found it odd that they would setup a few quick breakfast items in the lobby outside the cafe door.  Leaving their breakfast displays empty each morning, made it look so bare when getting my coffee each morning.

Cons:
1.  You will not be able to book a reservation for any main restaurant for dinner on your 1st night. You will have to do a walk in and see if you can get in. 
2.  All service at all restaurants were very slow, average of 2 hours for sit down lunch or dinners.  Add another 30 if you want dessert.  Pool side was 50/50 on speed of service.  Although ordering food at pool side was about 1 hour.  
3.  Isla Contoy, located on the beach, really needs to improve on their process for clearing out finished plates. They were left uncovered and the birds had a field day.  Very disgusting when you are trying to enjoy your food and the birds are flocking and feeding at the table next to you. 
4.  Food was not amazing like all the reviews expressed.  They were pretty average and mediocre. We have been to several other resorts all over Mexico and this one falls towards the bottom. 

I don't think we will be visiting another Grand Fiesta's location based on this overall experience.   I think faster service in the restaurants would really help improve the resort experience.

Average resort not exceptional.

This place is terrible. First I am a member and will be canceling my membership. Staff drops the ball every time. From reservations from restaurant to restaurant, they mess things up. So unorganized. Giving away our seats, making you wait for over an hour on getting your food. Not to mention food is not great like other reviews said. Kids zone is very small. There’s so much to say how they messed things up. We stayed for 5 days and it’s all bad.

True experience.

We had a lovely experience! The resort has everything you need for a wonderful and relaxing family vacation. The restaurants are awesome, special shoutout to Chianti (Italian restaurant). Pablo and Raul were delightful! Great service. Thank you!

Wonderful vacation!

The luxury Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Cancún- All Inclusive is located on a long stretch of beach on the Mexican Caribbean coast, ideal for sunbathing and swimming.
