The resort is lovely, but the real jewel of this place is Jorge Morales the bartender (poolside). He will make you the most delicious drinks and he will TAKE CARE OF YOU. Not just a bartender, a real friend.
If he like you, he show you some flair too!

Jorge at JW Marriott is the best

This was my second time at the property, and like the first, everything was perfect. From the moment I walked in, until I left, the service was near-impeccable. Staff would continually greet me by name, and always asked how I was doing and if I needed anything.

As with my last time on property, I stayed on the top floor which was reserved for Club 91 guests. Club 91 is a private place to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as cocktails and snacks/drinks throughout the day. The views of the Ocean are beautiful, and the staff incredible. I'd like to give a special "thank you" to Eduardo, Brenda, Mario, and Luis for making my time at the Club memorable.

While I didn't dine at any of the restaurants this time, I did spend my evenings in the speakeasy located next to Bravio. Much of the same staff was still working from the first time I visite, and it was so nice to see their smiling faces when I walked in. 

Recognition needs to be given to both Jhoana and Alondra. They were part of the reason I came back to the property because of their wonderful and professional service. Alondra went out of her way one night to make up for an issue I had with room service the night before, even though it wasn't her responsibility. And both helped me learn a little bit of Spanish.

It truly felt like family coming back to the JW Marriott Cancun, and this will now become a yearly (if not multiple times thruoghout the year) trip.

By the way, do yourself a favor and get room 1401 or 1402 - the view of the Ocean is absolutely incredible.

Feels Like Family

I cannot begin to scratch the surface of how wonderful this resort is. It’s rare when the hotel outshines the destination, but the JW Resort in Cancun IS the destination. The staff here is beyond compare. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in the best hotels - nothing has ever beat this.gem of a property. 

The weather has been stormy and rainy the entire time, but the staff has made it feel sunny, warm and wonderful.

From the gift shop and Vanessa, to maintenance to housekeeping, to the front desk, and to Club 91 staff - everyone has just been so warm and friendly  - and committed to us having a great time.

My wife and I are leaving and already planning our return to this wonderful property. 

Book it. - you will not regret it!

The Best Staff in Cancun!

We recently did a 7 night stay at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa. This place was AMAZING! The resort is absolutely beautiful and the infinity pool looking right into the ocean put this place on the top of my list of favorite hotel/resorts we have stayed at. Our days aside from the excursions and shopping at Mercado 28 were spent in the infinity pool, eating breakfast/lunch at poolside from Beachwalk and found the onsite Italian restaurant Gustino’s to be our favorite place to eat dinner onsite. The food and staff were phenomenal! Transportation to and from the airport (there was 5 of us) and a Chichén Itzá excursion (this included Cenote Chukum) was booked prior to our arrival via Fabiola at concierge. Fernando Yudico was our wonderful tour guide and highly recommended!
Snorkeling at Puerto Morelos was booked through TUI via the onsite excursion company at the hotel the day before we wanted to go. Both excursions provided lunch and transportation to and from the hotel. 
We took the local bus transportation (ADO R2 Hotel zone) to eat and do some local shopping at Mercado 28. Although we did not go, there is a Walmart a few block from Mercado 28. The bus stop was a short walk from the hotel. Buses stop about every 5 minutes. Remember to try and take the orange with gray colored buses because those have AC! 🥵 We 100% felt safe and had no issues walking around/shopping outside of the hotel/resort. 10/10 would recommend and would love to go back!

JW Marriott Cancun was AMAZING!

You can’t go wrong with a stay at the JW Marriott. Hotel is beautiful. But the best thing about this hotel is the staff  loved the Beachwalk for casual lunches. Pool guys were great too. Shoutout to these folks who stood out .Manuela, Gilberto, Cesar and Julio Chris was our bellman and he was great. 
Be sure to book your airport ride 48 hrs in advance. I got take totally  by the agencies at airport.cannot wait to return.

JW Marriott. Great even when it rains!!
