Below please read and do NOT ever stay at this hotel. No joke. 

DAY 1- one elevator working only, as quit the non functioning elevator no sign to let guests know or anything of that matter. We walk into the room and sliding doors are cracked open, humid is terrible and water all over the floors. Of course it was storming that night. We got old blood stained bed and pillows covers. No towel mat for the shower. No chairs. Nothing at all is like it is falsely advertised on their website. We reported it to several people and nothing. 

DAY 2- my husband falls off a broken chair in the Aquamarine room where they serve the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. 
Instead of the male waiter helping him gte up he instead rushes over to hide the evidence of the broken chair and leaves my husband on the floor to mend for himself. Unfortunately he suffered a mild concussion and is still in pain. So they call a wannabe first aid and all he says is do you want me to call an ambulance, but it will cost you .!!! Yeah “it will cost you.!!!”
Absolutely nothing was done about it or even a phone call to us to check up on my husband and the very least ask “how are you feeling..?” Elevator still broken down. 

DAY 3- like I mentioned before floors 1,2 & 3 guests rooms all have water leaking in from the sliding doors. Yes they are .!! Especially the first floor the rooms are literally in horrible shape. Not a spot in view of dry floor to step on. Elevator still broken down. 

DAY 4- we are getting ready to walk downstairs because now both elevators  are down. To our surprise there is feces wrapped up in a towel going down the stairs from the third to the second floor. Yes..!! No joke. Feces wrapped in a towel left there for everyone to see. Sad to see that family’s with small children are having to walk around it. We report it and they don’t care at all. 

DAY 5-  we are so fine with this BS more water in the room coming in through the sliding doors. We had to get up all night to right try and close the doors the best we can. Of course nothing works. Patio furniture banging on the doors all night due to the high winds. We are so out of here. .!!!!

If you or anyone decide to stay here. A few tips. Don’t eat here, bring a can of Lysol and Clorox wipes..!! Horrible customer service. The only kind and humble people around here is the housekeeping. Buffet areas are extremely dirty and very insanitary and unsafe. Bedsheets and pillow covers are all stained with old blood stains. Towels are satines as well. Don’t spend your hard earned money so it these people here. Total ripoff. We will definitely stick to only Sofitel and RUI. No one else for us. That’s for sure.

Do NOT stay in this disgusting place.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Krystal Cancun from 13 - 20 June.  At first blush, the Krystal would rate a 3.5.  Once you start meeting the staff, that rating soars to a solid 4.0!  I want to particularly single out Julio on the concierge staff and David at the buffet.  Their upbeat manner and all around niceness, was a nice added touch to our stay.  Now for the review.
Check-in - I booked us in a Club room, where you are to receive an exclusive check-in area.  There was not.  The check-in staff were very helpful and nice.  I will point out we had booked a Club deluxe Ocean view King.  We were given a first floor room because they had already given our room away.  They offered a forth floor with two queens.  We were moved the next day to 7th floor with an amazing ocean view.  
Room - The room, like most in Cancun, was dated and worn.  The bed was firm and comfortable.  We always had hot water, and the room was cleaned daily.  We left a moderate tip for housekeeping daily, and we had our fridge filled with the pop we wanted and always had clean towels.  If you are in the high tower, be prepared to hear the bass heavy music from the party area next door.
Buffet - The buffet was the smallest I have seen at all (at minimum, 30) the all-inclusive I've been to.   That being said, the food was quite good!  Breakfast was excellent.  The young lady working the main omelet grill was amazing!  She had my order already started my order after our second day there.  Lunch and dinner were good to very good.  The taco bar was excellent!  I loved all the different was they presented pork.  We always found something good to eat.
The Hacienda el Mortero Restaurant - This is the Mexican restaurant.  We went twice, and would have gone more if we could.  The tacos are amazing, the flank steak was perfectly cooked.  Great appetizers as well.  Staff were very attentive, and friendly.  
The Mediterraneo - We went to the Mediterranean Restaurant twice as well.  If you go, have the Lamb Shawarma!!  The best meal I had at the resort!  The Brisket was cooked well.  I would call it closer to a pot roast then a brisket; that being said, it tasted amazing!
The beach - We like this beach.  There was not a lot of seaweed this time around.  It did help that during our stay we were getting hit with the tail of the Tropical storm in the gulf.  The waves were huge and breaking over the break wall!  It also rained 5 of the 7 days.  
Location - There is a supermarket across the street.  A pharmacy is at the end of the hotel.  If you are looking to party, Coco Bongos and Senior Frogs is right next door.  If you want kitschy Mexican stuff, there is a large indoor/outdoor market to the left of the hotel.
Overall, if we had not got the deal of 50% off the regular price, and paid full, I would be disappointed in this hotel.  However, if you get a good deal, this place is a solid 3.5 - 4.0 rating.  The staff make me lean towards the 4.0 rating.

Incredible. I’m glad I came for dinner.   The food was incredible.   Server was amazing.c I’m glad I came in here.   So cool by the beach.   So chill.   I can’t wait to get back here.   Ambiance is so cool. Such a cool vibe.  The ocean I. The background is keeping me visiting all the time. Awesome!

Beat vacation!

We ate at the Italian restaurant Las Velas and was served by Justo. The food was very tasty and appropriate portion sizes. We had a very romantic table with a view. The pace of the food was not rushed. Justo was very attentive.  I would definitely recommend coming back for another meal.

Alicia in breakfast making omelettes was always so friendly and made orders exactly how they were asked for every single time. I would definitely come back here if she continues to be here. Thank you for being so polite and always having a smile on your face.

Great experience

This fantastic modern and bright hotel enjoying panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea is excellently located directly on the white sandy beach. It is ideal both for leisure and for business travellers, as the Cancún Convention Center is just a few steps away. Numerous shopping facilities, restaurants and bars can be found in the surrounding area.
