First time in Cancun and stayed at the Royal Sands resort. From the moment we got there everyone takes great care of you. The best staff top to bottom. The whole resort is clean and great food and drinks. Definitely going back.

Cancun 2024

I’ve been coming to my home away from home for the past 24 years. The Royal Sands is Paradise, but I am giving a 10 to the staff. Javier and Antonio the bellboys, Juan, Wendy and Amanda the Managers, Victor and Lilibeth and Veronica Sando my maid and a shout out to Leo and Alfonso the lifeguards. I feel safe and secure with all these wonderful people around me!

The best time always!

Arrived June 22nd for a week.  This was our first time here and booked off Travelocity and we had the All Inclusive .  We all had a blast at this resort.  We were lucky to arrive when the Aqua Park opened and my 3 kids had fun having another option of things to do.  I had fun going down the slides a few times.  Our room was on the 4th floor and we had the whole villa A and B.  So much room for all 5 of us with 2 bathrooms.  Great view of the Phase 1 pool and ocean.  We didn't have any issues getting in the restaurants.  We ate at the Mexican Hacienda Sisal twice and it was excellent.  We ate at Club Bistro.  We enjoyed that as well, but service was slow there.  We also tried Trattoria at the sister resort Royal Cancun. Fillet Steak there was great and cooked to perfection.  We loved the pool in Phase 1 and the pool bar there.  Facundo the pool bartender was amazing.  He was always happy and made my drinks perfect.  Thanks Facundo.  I'll add a picture on my review.  Char Hut was the best lunch spot.  Cocktail shrimp and fish tacos were the best.  Everything at this resort was excellent from the food to the staff.  If we visit Cancun again, we would most likely stay here again.  Great family memories were made.

An amazing family vacation at Royal Sands

We have been going to the Royal sands for close to 20 years. Since the change to "all Inclusive". the quality of food has been reduced. Along with the options on the menu for people who opt out of all inclusive. Maintaining a clean resort has been a challenge in the last couple years as well. With that being said, we really enjoy going and staying the. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

The Royal Sands resort is beautiful! VERY clean, well-maintained, with friendly staff and very nice villas.  Food ranged from below average to above average, so a little inconsistent.  Drinks were great and not watered down, in my opinion! If you're not a member, they can be a little pushy on the timeshare presentation, but I expected that.  If you're not a member, it can be a little tough to get into the specialty restaurants for dinner.  Reserving chairs with flags was nice, but people took advantage of it and it was tough to get a group of chairs together unless you were out early.  Oh we also had a jackhammer outside our room due to construction next door... can't avoid that unfortunately and luckily my baby was able to sleep through it during nap time thanks to the ocean sounds!  The water park area opened right before our trip and our kids loved it!  If we choose an all-inclusive in Cancun again, I'd go back!
