Great selection of restaurants on the complex. Hotel amenities were clean and the entertainment was excellent. The pools were cleaned daily would go back any time next year. The staff were very helpful cleaning and looking after everthing

Summer holiday

This property should be called the “Below Grade Princess Yucatán Resort”.  This place is in need of serious repairs. Do not go to this place if you can help it. 1 Leaks all over the place.  Raccoon like creatures running amok. Food in the buffet was awful

Stay away! There are many other beautiful options in Mexico. While the rooms are spacious and clean, and the pools and even the beach are okay-ish, service is NON-EXISTENT! You ask questions, and they lie or do not know anything. They forget your request. They do not know how to talk in English. It makes me sad even writing this, but the service is so bad that it caused a level of anxiety and stress. I am acutely aware of my privilege and all of it. First-world problems, oh yes!

However, when I have to wait for towels for two hours or even over an hour for basic room service only to receive old or dry food, something has got to give. I know the workers are probably trying their best most of the time, are good, decent folk, and are probably underpaid and overworked; well, then, aren't we all? 

PS. I tipped generously!

Non-existent Service!!!

The nightly entertainment was great. The hotel is badly in need of a renovation, we had broken pipes in our room, the hotel lobby was leaking from the rain, there was mold on the lounge chairs, leaks all over the hotel, food was subpar at the buffet.  There were little animals that ran around the resort leaving footprints all over and if your balcony door is not closed they enter the room. The restaurants the food was okay.

Hotel badly in need in renovations

I got back from this resort almost two weeks ago. Before going I checked the reviews weekly to see if there was anything that would cause me to book somewhere else. Let me say, I am glad I did not. 

When we arrived, the front desk staff was very kind. They showed us a map that explained where everything was located, along with welcome drinks, and a cool cloth. The Bell hops remembered our names and greeted us by our family name every time they saw us. We stayed on the Platinum side and had a swim up room. The first two days I stayed there we had no neighbors and essentially had the pool to ourselves. The room was very nice and spacious. Any time I stay in a hotel, I bring some cleaning supplies and upon wiping down many of the surfaces, I was happy to see that there was not a lot of dirt left behind. Once we got settled and got some food, we spent a lot of time in the swim up room before heading to the beach. The beach on the Platinum side did have a lot of seaweed but once we walked down 5 minutes it wasn't as bad. There are a lot of rocks in the water but I was still able to get in and have a good time. 

The first night, the food at the buffet was ok, however, as each day passed the food got better and better. The taco station was always delicious and they offered many different varieties of food. For breakfast, I was always able to find a non-pork protein which was appreciated because I have not had that at other resorts. We tried Rodeo and The Hibachi place and both were very good. Great atmosphere and staff. We also checked out the night club and they played great music. 

We checked out the hydrotherapy pool at the spa, as well as the sauna and vapor room. When you stay on the platinum side it comes with free with your room. This was an awesome way to relax during the trip. We stayed there probably like an hour and most of the time we were there we had it completely to ourselves. 

The staff was extremely kind everywhere we went. They always made sure we had what we needed in a timely fashion. I would call for new beach towels and someone would be providing them within 30 minutes or less. The bar staff at the swim up bar would walk all the way over to where our room was to take our order and bring it back. There was always a follow up call from the concierge desk to make sure someone provided us what we needed or just to check in. 

They have many activities on site and we enjoyed the paddle boarding. The instructor was kind, patient, and helpful. 

Now to address some of the reviews I saw on here. 
- I agree that there is a mildew smell on resort that needs to be rectified but it did not stop me from enjoying myself. 
- The furniture could use an update as well, as after years of use I can see some of it has been worn down. 
- If you are a picky eater, you may have a harder time finding something to enjoy at the buffett. My bf has a tree nut allergy and I do not eat pork, and we were both able to find something to enjoy everyday. 
- The animals on the resort did not bother us at all. We rarely saw them and we spent a lot of the day out and about. 
 - Once again, the staff was always helpful, kind, and fun. They were always checking on us and going out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. 
- The beach was not the best but I really wanted a swim up room more so that was the sacrifice I was willing to make. 
- The drinks were really good, I felt myself being tipsy several times but sobered up really quickly, which I liked because I did not want to be so drunk I could not enjoy my vacation.
- if you are looking for more of a party resort, this might not be the best place. If you want to relax with something more laid back then this might be what you are looking for. 
- I also only saw plates outside of someone's door once and it was picked up by the time I came back from the buffett. If you hold on to the plates inside the room, someone will come back before the end of the night to collect them from you. (as they did when we ordered room service) If you leave your plates outside, expect animals to come by your door. 
- The wifi does kick you off, but if you sign back in, you will be right back on. 

All in all, We had an amazing time from the entertainment, amenities, staff, and the overall ambience of the resort.  I can see where there needs to be some improvements, but I am glad I did not let a lot of these reviews stop me from going. This is not a 5 star resort but it does have a lot of positives that you can enjoy.  I have been to 3 different resorts in 3 different countries and I can say you just have to make sure where you are booking is offering exactly what you are looking for. Hope this helps anyone contemplating booking here!
