This stay was amazing! I can not begin to say how happy I was with the service and experience. All of the staff were kind, helpful, and fun. The all-inclusive is really ALL. What a great choice. The staff members Flash and JC (Carlos) were amazing, they setup fun games and were so high energy, can’t help but be happy here!

Amazing Stay

Everything here was awesome! Lots of things to do and the staff is really amazing. Great drinks, vibes, and environment. Shout out to Flash and Carlos in entertainment who made the trip even more fun. The bar staff also were awesome in accommodating all our requests LOL! Food was so so good, my favorite was the Smokehouse restaurant.

Amazing experience, would go again

This was our second visit to this resort, our first visit being this exact same time last year.  We loved it so much last year, we decided to return, and while there are so many great things about this resort, I'm not sure we'll be back.  Last year, it was my husband, myself, and our kids.  Having had such a great time, we came back and brought my sister's family and grandparents.  I wish they could have had the experience we had last year but they still had a good time.

As one reviewer below mentioned, we also showed up when it was raining and it felt like the entire resort was leaking.  So many ceiling repairs needed as there was water coming through the ceiling all over the resort.  I will commend them for getting to repairs quickly as we saw a lot of repairs happening within the next several days, but just a lot of water repairs needed.  

The kid zone was built out more from last year and the kids really enjoyed it.  Last year, there was no upstairs built out so that was a nice treat, especially for the older kids.  The pool tables were a big hit and they apparently had PS2s up there but we did not use them.  Ziplining is always a hit with the kids and to be honest, I can't remember if the outdoor rock climbing wall was there last year or not, but that was a hit too this year.  Movie choices each night were superb.  Would recommend having a lunch time movie option as it would be nice to have a little mid-day break option for older kids who are too big for naps but maybe need a little time to chill and get out of the sun after lunch.

Food - food was, dare I say, EVEN better than last year.  Last year, the food was great, but this year, seemed even better!  Wasn't a fan of Rodeo Grill last year and it was the kids' least favorite of the restaurants, but this year, it was their favorite!  Buffet is always great and really love the lower counter and kids' section for kids to choose.  We had ages 9 months to 10 years old and everyone found a LOT they could eat at the buffet.  We had Reyna several times for service and she was very sweet.  

Pools - a little surprised the swim-up bar was closed for the duration of our 5-day stay.  Not sure if repairs are being done to it (didn't see any work going on) or what, but it wasn't in service at all.  This was a bit surprising as this is a pretty normal and exciting feature of any resort.  If you wanted a drink, you had to get out of the pool.  Otherwise, we really enjoyed the pools.  Kids loved the splash pad, even the older kiddos.  I noticed the leaves from the tree at the splashpad were gone from last year but not sure anyone would've noticed if they hadn't seen it previously.

Mini golf on the roof was good and we enjoyed that.  Obviously, it had been raining previously so we understand there were all the puddles and water spots.  I noticed things were missing from the mini golf (i.e. spots where faux logs on the course once were were removed but the glue stains on the turf still there).  No idea if these are repairs coming back or if this is their final look.

Rooms - had a great experience in the rooms.  We booked a Sapphire room with the bunk beds.  Really nice that the kid room has a TV too and just offers a bit of privacy and personal space with kids.  My sister had two young kiddos and they were able to provide her with a crib and a baby tub as it is only a shower in the room.  Fridge was standard in the room as well so that helped all of us.  They do provide a stepstool under the sink for the little ones to reach the sink.  Room was great and view from Sapphire rooms is beautiful.  

Service - we only came across two male individuals (one at the grill by the pool and one at the grill in the buffet) who seemed to be not in great moods but otherwise, the service was great.  Very friendly and that is what sold us last year to return this year.  

Beach - great experience.  Lots of seaweed but that doesn't bother us as that's mother nature and not an upkeep issue, in my eyes.  Just depends on the day and what the weather is doing.  Love the wavebreakers set up so that kids can get in safely without being swept away by a wave.  Personal tip - if your kid finds any large conch shells in the ocean while playing with goggles, it must be in checked luggage, not carry-on.  Kids were sad to have to discard their two large conch shells they found at airport security.  They were so kind and offered to let us go check our bags but we weren't interested in checking our bag.  Just so you know ahead of time!

Mexican night - GREAT food and show.  Really enjoyed this event and had a great time seeing the cultural experience.

Don't sleep on the Tea House - a little hidden gem but enjoyed getting an iced coffee or ice cream here each day.  Just a nice little treat each day!

Takeaways from this trip - service is great despite seeming that they are short staffed.  I miss some of the little things from last year that seemed to really up the uniqueness (i.e. being greeted immediately after getting out of the van upon arrival, the taco station set up at lunch last year by the Sapphire balcony rooms, the fruit cart that came around every day last year, the service to give us some fresh towels mid-day, simply the service to help us with our towels to our chairs (this year, you had to grab them from the towel bar and find your chairs), and all the little things that made it special).  This year felt more "self-service" just simply not having enough people staffed.  Last year, there was poolside service for the grill.  While there was a little of that, you had to go to the grill to order food if you wanted it; just simply not enough people to serve everyone and I miss those little touches from last year.  Wish they'd play more Mexican music at the pool rather than American music (we are in Mexico and love to be encircled by the atmosphere!).  Also, this is a young resort to have as many things happening that need upkeep.  A fresh coat of paint all over would make a world of difference to give it that "sparkle."  It's looking a bit worn down for having opened only a few years ago, i.e. broken tiles, kid zone refresh in jump zone, etc.  They were making lots of repairs but I was surprised to see so much of the space in need for being such a fairly new resort.  But...KIDS LOVED IT.  If you have a trip already booked this year, YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE IT.   We had a good time because they were happy. Mine want to come back next year and just had a blast.  You as an adult, will notice some of the little things but the service will make up for most of it.  I think they have the potential to get back to what we saw last year if they don't let it fall to such disarray so quickly in a year.  It has potential to really be a tremendous resort but upkeep has to be a priority and they need more staff.  Otherwise, this will easily become a 3-star resort at most.  

Still giving it 4 stars for a great trip and experience and all the kids couldn't have loved it more.  I truly think you will have a great time if you have something booked already for this summer.  The resort looks rough in the rain but if that happens, make sure to take a second look in the sun....it definitely fairs better in the sunshine!  You will still have a great time, but it might feel a bit deceiving when you arrive.  But unless I see reviews that changes have been made, we may be looking elsewhere for our next trip.  Truly hope they can pull it together because this resort has a TREMENDOUS amount of potential for families!

Good Trip but Fairly New Resort Needs Upkeep

Very nice resort and very friendly staff. At the eating area, La Pergola, we met a lot of nice and helpful staff members. Oliver was always on top of everything and made us feel very welcome. Jose, Karina, Heuer, Laura, Elisco T., and Maria Angeles all made my son, wife, and I feel like family. Another helpful member was Flash. He helped my nephew with mini golf and was always friendly and willing to go above and beyond.

Great staff members bettered the whole experience

We've been to this resort twice in the last 7 months we loved it so much! The first time was with our 2 kids the 2nd time just as a couple and we stayed in the Ruby suite. The food, ALL the staff, room, activities are the BEST. We HIGHLY recommend this resort for families or couples getaways.
