Pool

We loved our stay here. My little boy actually cried on the last day of our holiday as he didn't want to leave. All the staff were so friendly always saying hello and asking if they could help. The poolside entertainment was amazing, the pool slide definitely got a workout from my little boy he was on it daily. Kids club was utilised a couple of times and he enjoyed himself. So many food options you dont even need to leave the resort. We will definitely come back and stay again!

The best resort experience.

Stayed at the Dynasty Hotel and found that the accommodation was acceptable, we were supposed to check in at 14:00 however the room was not ready until 17:00 which wasn't a big deal until we checked out and had to pay for the waiting room for our transfer which i thought was a bit cheeky. Buffet breakfast was included and was ok without being over the top we had to point out a few times that dishes were not cleaned correctly.

 Alcoholic drinks were what you would expect, however Bali is not the cheapest place anymore and you can get that same price at home (except if you go to the supermarkets and buy a slab)

The Irish pub, Gracie Kellies was good and offered a real Irish flavor and a great country pub atmosphere. Food at the resort was on the high side, whereas outside of the resort the food was a lot cheaper (get down to Dolce Vita Italian, absolutely fantastic).

The pool area at the resort is busy from about 12:00 onwards and gets fairly rowdy, the pool side guards had the rules under control and enforced these rules in a very professional way. Happy hour like any resort was pretty good and with plenty of choices on the cocktail menu.

We did get sick for three days with Gastro and had to get DR Ari in, this has nothing to do with the resort as this is pretty common anywhere in the world.

Room Service was fairly prompt, and food was good without being great. Overall the resort was good for the money.

Been to Bali eight times now and found the prices have increased significantly compared with our dollar, still a good place to visit, although after many visits reduces the exitement (probably purchase a caravan and visit Aus)

Good Holiday for the money

We originally booked this hotel as are a family of 4 looking for a family resort with a good kids club. From the reviews we though the Dynasty would fit the bill perfectly. Unfortunately although we liked some aspects of the hotel we were left mainly disappointed. (So disappointed in fact that we cancelled our booking and moved elsewhere).

Things we liked:

Kids club. This was as good as advertised. Kids loved it. The club also organised kids swimming sessions in the kids pool. Movie night was also a hit.

Staff. The staff from the front desk to all of the restaurants were friendly.

Rooms. We booked a deluxe interconnecting room. The first room we were given was very mouldy smelling. The 2nd room was much better.

Breakfast. There is a great selection. Nicer coffee can we ordered from the coffee bar outside. I was happy to pay for this.

Things we didn’t like:

The A/C. In our rooms the air conditioning would not go below 24 degrees no mater what we tried.

The main pool. We booked the resort as the main pool looked great for kids and adults. It wasn’t. There is a shallower section but this was small for the number of children there. The main pool is deep. Too deep for an adult to stand in at any point. We found that we couldn’t enjoy this with our kids as they are just OK swimmers. None of the pools allow kids to dive or even jump in. There are two life guards on duty who get very busy with their whistles if anyone breaks this rule. We found this again restricted our kid’s enjoyment of the pool.

Kids pool. Although the kid’s pool has loads of slides and fun stuff to do we found it dirty and badly maintained. There are lots of broken tiles with sharp edges.

Pool bar: We love a pool bar and happy hour! However, the pool bar area is too small for the amount of people, just 8 seats I think. Kids are not allowed at the pool bar (which I understand) but as the pool is so deep they can’t even be nearby.

Pool cleanliness. Both pools were cloudy and dirty. Again I think the hotel is a victim of it’s own success. So many people are using fairly small pools for the numbers. All 4 of us got ear infections. My son so badly, that we had to delay our flight home. 

Too busy. For us, the hotel was just too busy. We had read reviews and know The Dynasty was a busy family resort. I guess we just didn’t realise how busy it would be. 

Not on the beach. The hotel is set back from the beach and you need to walk down an alley to get to the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is not nice at all with no bars or even vendors. So if you enjoy a sunset beer you’ll need to travel. (I should have seen this on the resort map but missed it before we booked).

In conclusion we wouldn’t visit again. I think there are far better resorts that offer better facilities for families at cheaper rates and feel much more Balinese  (In fact we choose to cancel our booking and moved to a different resort).

Disappointed family of four ...

We stayed in a family lagoon room for 4 nights with our 3 year old daughter. The room was clean and spacious. The room definitely needs a bit of an update, but we didn’t have any issues with it. The room service team did a great job setting up a wonderful balloon and towel animal display with a delicious cake for our daughter’s birthday! 

We are so glad we had the lagoon room as the main pool was sometimes a bit loud and overwhelming for our 3 year old and the lagoon was a peaceful oasis. It was also great to have the lagoon pool bar to get cocktails and food without having to go to the main pool. 

Breakfast at Senses was amazing, we loved the variety of food and the wonderful service. The noodles and Indonesian offerings were delicious! We tried H2O for breakfast one morning but did not enjoy it as much as we like a bit more “adventurous” food. 

We spent a lot of time in Cafe Piazza having ice cream or coffee, it was a cool relaxing space and my daughter loved it there! Our friends ate dinner there 2 nights and said the food was excellent! 

The kids pool and slides were a big hit and super fun! The big slide goes very fast if you go down with a toddler on your lap! We careful! 

We took advantage of the complimentary photoshoot. The photos turned out wonderful and we bought one of the photo packages. Some of the best family photos we have now! So happy with the whole experience! 

The adults only area was small but relaxing. My only issue was that it was a smoking area, so that was kinda gross for a non smoker. But we had a drink by the little plunge pool and enjoyed our time there.

The main pool is so deep, I think 2m deep, so we didn’t use it. I had a drink at the sunken pool bar which was fun!

Our daughter didn’t like the kids club but she did enjoy the new toddler room which was small but quiet and had a few fun things to play with!

Overall we were so happy with our stay, the staff were exceptional and we cannot wait to come back again!

Very fun family hotel!

We have recently enjoyed a 8night stay at the Bali Dynasty as a large group. This being my families 3rd stay here and the rest of my families first time we had a ball! From check in which the room wasn’t ready but when it was I received a call to say it was which was fantastic and so easy too. The dynasty booklet with vouchers are great and the discounted massages at the spa are always enticing! The foot massages by the pool are always great and we just love “Yiani and Sue” as they have been here for years! Can’t fault the location, pool side service, happy hour which I would say is one of the best in Kuta! The staff are always so friendly esp when it comes to the kids activities as theirs always things to do for them, water volley ball, bingo, frog racing, splash competitions so much!! Thank you again for a great holiday, we will be back next year!!

3rd time here but 1st time with large group (14)
