The staff were friendly and always helpful, the pool area superb, and the rooms always clean and super comfy.
What a great break we had, from lazy days by the pool, to great food in the resteraunts, entertainment was always worth a look.

Such a fun place in a great location. Relaxing week with great friends was made even better by our hotel experience.
The staff were so hospitable and nice, an example was Mini at breakfast who ran across the street to get me a take away coffee as we left to play golf. What a star! 
All of the staff were exceptional around the restaurant and pool.
The restaurant food is well priced and delicious. 
The pool was our hub and they have two of the best pools for relaxing before wandering down to sunset on the beach most nights…

Just a great place!

First things first let’s talk about the staff at the Niksoma Boutique Hotel. In 2 words, absolutely fantastic, they really were.  They could not do enough for all their guests and tried to make sure that the guests were enjoying their time at the Hotel. One staff member that really sticks to mind is a young girl who was one of the waitress staff, her name was Widi and was just a bundle of fun to talk to,  really really great. Widi had me and my partner in absolute stitches of laughter interacting with us.  She was brilliant thank you why so much for making our staff experience so great. That was one plus….
So for another plus for the hotel. The outside pool area and public areas were good.  There are two main pools and a kiddie pool and one of the pools was a large Infinity pool. As this was a boutique hotel it wasn't overcrowded which was nice as the hotel seemed to be fully booked.  The restaurant seating arrangements was nice but the food I will address further in my review. 
 The rooms however are in serious need of updating they were extremely dated and tired looking and no way five star quality,  at best if you were valuing this hotel star rating it would be a 3 Star hotel at a push. Nowhere near a 5 star as they are advertised. Inside our room we  encountered very old furniture from the start of this century and some of the furniture was falling to bits. The bathroom was the BIGGEST disappoint of all though. No walk in shower, instead an old bath tub with an old and dirty handheld shower attachment. I have seen better quality bathrooms in bed and breakfast hotels for £ 40 a night in London. When you book a holiday and you choose a 5 Star hotel the least you expect is a clean modern bathroom – well at least I do (hence why they do not show any photos of the standard rooms with bathtubs)
The one thing that worked extremely well in the hotel room though  was the air con unit. It cooled the room to the correct temperature as I packed a little room thermometer to be sure that we had the correct setting in the room and it was always spot on.
The Niksoma Is parts of some family run chain and it has a sister hotel next door. Both hotels have beach front restaurants and we ate in both of them. Our hotel restaurant was called Hitina, next door was called Mozzarella.  Mozzarella restaurant was always a lot busier and now I realise why. Quality and Choice.  We ate on our last night at the Hinata restaurant. Myself and my partner ordered a starter to share which on the menu was described as salmon and crab Cannelloni (which if you google the definition should be food rolled in pasta with a cream sauce. There was no description on the menu and what we were served up was smoked salmon wrapped in some salad leaves with a crab stick when it first arrived there was a hair visible on the top of the Salmon.  I promptly sent this back and that was really a sign from God in my opinion don’t eat this. Shortly afterwards they bought another one to our table and against our better judgement we did not reject and we shared the starter. We both had different mains. Within two hours of finishing our meals we both had severe stomach cramps and diarrhoea the whole night. I informed the hotel of this early on in the morning and unfortunately no one from the hotel, despite saying they would inform the manager, has made any contact with us to apologise formally. Bear one thing in mind which I should have mentioned earlier, we opted to stay at the resort on our last day as we were due to leave early next morning and had only breakfast and dinner the whole day were at the hotel. We did not eat anywhere else. For me this is a major red flag for this hotel. My partner suffered for 2 days and I unfortunately suffered for 4 whole days with severe diarhoea. Unforgivable.  
 
My partner really enjoyed staying at the hotel but agrees with me about the negatives that the rooms were extremely tired looking and the bathrooms are major disappointment. Once you were out of your room the pool area was extremely good the staff tentative and friendly but when you rely on the hotel to keep you safe from possible food hygiene disasters and they fail,  I would seriously  think twice about returning to this hotel if I ever visited Bali again.

If you don't care about the room quality and not fussed about getting in and out of a tub or food hygiene you'll be fine

We celebrated my husbands 60th Birthday with family and friends, the hotel went above and beyond our expectations.

All rooms were spacious and spotless, the breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options!. 

The staff, who are simply the best, were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble.

We are counting down to our next visit!

Simply the Best

First time guests and won't be the last.  Great value accommodation, staff are amazing, Mini, Sukra in the restaurant, Ketut Trinaya who looks after the immaculate gardens and all the team go above and beyond for their guests.  Great vibe with free entertainment every night, they have something for everyone, young, old and in between.  Location is prime too.  Thank you Bali Niksoma team, we will be back!!
