The jayakarta Resort at Legian is located in the heart of Legian and beachfront to Legian Beach. Location is great if you want to stroll the streets for clubs and food, and the also relax on the beach too. The resorts has 3 great pools, enough longing area and also swim up bar for cocktails and more.

Family friendly, the buffet breakfast is great and snacks during the day are worthwhile lounging around the pool.

The rooms are getting tired, BUT clean, and housekeeping is attentive, no problem getting you something may need, all you have to do is ask.

For the price that you pay for your room, I would stay at the Jayakarta Again. The staff are great and the location is very good. Walking distance to Seminyak (or a gojek scooter ride) for a lot less money to stay at Legian.

Experience Bali at a budget price and have a great time

Don’t do it.  Our room was Disgusting, run down , The bed was like sleeping on the floor , I asked reception and they put a blanket under the sheets , no better. Noisy every night if it wasn’t for the pub across the road it was the cats outside crying and fighting . our room service - plates sat outside our door for 2 days . In the Restaurant one of the staff dropped the tongs and put the back them back I front of the Bain Marie’s for other people to use . We moved to other hotel after 5 days we tried to suck it up but with very little sleep we had not choice , when I checked out the receptionist said we could move but we just want out of their . This place would of been beautiful in its day , definitely needs a Makeover , But the Location is the selling point .

Don’t do it

To start with the rooms are extremely dated, walls marked, cracked paint, tiles and furniture.
All the doors on all the cupboards clashed with each other as they weren’t hung properly.
The hot and cold water taps had to be used in reverse as they were plumbed incorrectly. And a constant smell emanating from the bathroom floor drain.
Not to mention the noise. Walls and ceiling that thin you could here conversations in the next room, people flicking on and off switches, people stomping around in the rooms above us and FIREWORKS EVERY FRIGGEN NIGHT OF THE WEEK up to and including 10:30pm. Fireworks are banned in Bali yet you get woken up every night with a barrage of incessant fireworks explosions!!!
Will never step foot in this establishment ever again, complete waste of money and waste of a holiday!!!

CONSTANT BARAGE OF NIGHTLY FIREWORKS MADE FOR AN EXTREMELY BAD HOLIDAY, not to mention the dated, dirty, smelly room!!!

What a terrible establishment. Not only is it run down and well past its used by date, but the staff actually served our 13 and 14 yrs old children mocktails but with full on vodka in them! We detected the error after we paid the bill but by that stage the kids had drunk their drinks. We spoke with the manager, who offered a late check out as compensation for the error. This place is full of bogans, nightclub music and staff that haven't got s clue what they are doing. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE AGAIN. There are so many great options in Bali. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. It's a tired old establishment that is ready for knocking down.

UNDERAGE DRINKING - They served my 13yr old alcohol.

I attended with a large group for birthday celebrations. The large party stayed for a week. I enjoyed my experience for the 7 days. The staff were attentive. The food was nice including breakfast. I utilised the spa facilities 3 times during my stay which I enjoyed. 
On the last day of my stay I had a late check out at 6pm. I decided to treat myself to one last treatment at the spa. 
Following my treatment I was offered a shower. On exiting the shower no mat was placed down. I slipped and smashed my back on the concrete step resulting in a 5 day stay at BIMC hospital with back injuries. 
My son returned to the hotel after dropping me at the hospital with the paramedics. 
The hotel did not offer my 17 yr son an extended stay while I was admitted to hospital. 
The lack of empathy for our situation was zero. They basically wanted my son out of the room asap by 6pm. They were demanding money for ambulance transfer from my friends, when the blame was their lack of safety in the spa. The hotel has not reached out to inquire about my condition. The hotel has not reached out to offer me any kind of compensation (eg financially or accommodation for another time)for what happened on their premises . 
It is a shame. I did have an enjoyable stay. However this has left a bad impression for myself and many friends.
