Everything about this place was amazing. The staff were so great. They pay attention to every detail. The food was excellent. The villa was outstanding. I loved the beach club and it was such a short ride in the shuttle. I would recommend this place. I plan to go back next year.

Stunning villa in Bali

We had a wonderful 30th anniversary celebration at Amarterra Villas Bali. All the staff is friendly and professional. They provided excellent service and informative hotel recommendations for us! We enjoyed the hotel facilities and the special room decoration very much !! We had an amazing time during the stay!  We will definitely come back. Thank you again.  Especially thanks to Lami, Julian, Made, Ayu and Mira.

Unforgettable Stay in Nusa Dua

What a truly wonderful experience from the checking in with a special blessing to the villa, what amazing and helpful staff. the Villa was exactly what the pictures showed, relaxing pool with easy entry and a great area to sit by the pool and relax with a drink, they have a wonderful restaurant that you can have breakfast lunch and dinner, with special nights throughout the week and a  two minute walk to the mini mart which has everything
the staff were absolutely amazing at all times, I cant speak more highly of their wonderful service, even when they where confronted by very rude people who were staying at the resort, thank you for all you did for us, we will be back

The room is generally private and quiet

아마르테라 빌라 너무 최고!

Spent two nights at Amarterra Villas out of a total of 8 nights in Nusa Dua.  It was a very pleasant stay and one I do not regret but sadly as much as I wanted too can't rate is as a 5 star experience.
Without a doubt the highlight of this resort was the warmth and sincerity of the staff. They honestly went above and beyond in terms of service with a genuine desire to care for their guests. From the moment the luxury transfer collected us to the early check in with upgrade to all the friendly staff in the restaurant. The people were simply wonderful  - even by Bali standards. 
The entrance, lobby reception area and common grounds around the pool were stunningly beautiful. Elegant, well maintained, perfect blend of Balinese architecture with a sense of understated luxury. Full marks once again.
The in-house restaurant was very good for dinner but where it really shone was the breakfast. Much like the theme of the resort it was personal and intimate where the hospitality of the staff was beyond professional. Gracious and sincere in wishing nothing more than to please the guests. The tropical smoothy bowl and fresh fruit juices will  live in my memory for years to come. Arguably the most enjoyable breakfast experience I've had.
So why did I rate this resort 4 stars and not 5 ? Put simply the villas themselves - the accomodation - the key element of any resort is where I found it to be lacking. 
The villas were spacious but space alone does not equate to luxury but rather how the space is used and furnished, when not done right it is almost hollow. The interior of the villa was "nice and comfortable" but seemed to be lacking in character and any true sense of luxury. There was no wow factor. 
The outdoor shower was poorly designed being a mere annexe and extension of the indoor shower. Far from feeling indulgent and decadent like what Balinese outdoor showers in a villa should, it had quite the opposite effect and was rather unappealing. Compounding this was the fact that the outdoor shower communicating with the indoor shower meant outdoor insects could freely enter the shower cubicle and ultimately the bathroom.
Perhaps considered premium  in a time gone by the villas are now looking dated with the lack of maintenance / upkeep showing through.  The timber decking around the villa pool was in need of much TLC or at least some sanding and a few coats of timber sealant to protect it. After contracting a splinter in my toe I was reluctant to walk bare foot around the pool deck.
Ultimately minor gripes I know but given the price point and plethora of accomodation options in Bali I would hope that management will make the decision to modernise and update the villas to restore them to their former glory. If it were not for the wonderful staff and the service they provide I would of rated my experience as 3 stars instead of 4.
