Pool

We stayed at this wonderful resort for 3 nights late Jan/early February.  Absolutely huge Villas with incredible bathrooms.  Multiple shower options and divine private pool.  Staff were excellent, from Check in to Check out.  Food in the restaurant vas very good and the main pool good too.  Front beach is swimmable, but probably wouldn’t spend a lot of time there.  Pools were better.  Good shuttle service to local shop.  Cocktails were good but took quite a long time to make.  We were in no rush though.  Spa was very relaxing, our first experience with Balinese massage.  Did not disappoint.

Loved relaxing at this lovely resort with very generously proportioned Villa with Private pool.

We booked this on the recommendation of our travel agent. We wanted a private villa with its own pool and this more than fitted the bill. We arrived late at night as our flight from Sydney was delayed due to a pilot not being available on Boxing Day. The transfer from the airport was easy and the staff were very welcoming when we arrived. A golf cart took us to our villa which consisted of a large lounge diner and kitchenette. We then passed the private pool to a large bedroom and massive bathroom. All mod cons such as tv’s aircon etc worked well.  We used the hotel pool a couple of times but mostly stayed in the villa as it was lovely. 
The staff cleaned the villa and restocked the minibar daily. The breakfast buffet was fine. Different cuisines where catered for. Room service was quick and reasonably priced.
We ventured down to the beach bar but other than the barman it was deserted so no atmosphere there. The hotel bar was also deserted so we gave up on finding some entertainment and went back to the villa. 
The staff put on a great poolside fireworks show for new year’s night. 
We really enjoyed our stay as we wanted peace and quiet. There is construction work going on beside the hotel but it didn’t bother us much. 
One thing is the paragliding experience next door flew right over the top of our pool while we were sunbathing sans clothes while the passenger was filming. I might end up on a bloopers reel one day.

Best plcae to staying

Ulu Segara - 6 nights for ~100k, booked 3 months in advance considering the favourable dollar exchange rate.

the most South Bali and expensive resort area. ~1 hour drive from the airport. 

the purpose of choosing this particular hotel and area: to hang out in a typical beach quality and luxury holiday.

- The breakfasts are fantastic. as an allergic person, i suffer from searching for food outside of rf. here they asked me to write down a list of allergens and cooked personally to my request.

- the beach at the hotel washes away often 
- There are no good low crowded beaches nearby 
- the room is made of stone, and without air conditioning is impossible. even at 24 degrees there is condensation everywhere, everything is damp, everything is spoilt. we have to turn it down to 16 degrees, so it is VERY cold!!!! we warmed the bed with a hairdryer to remove moisture and get warm.......... to warm up with a hairdryer in Bali................ Or we'd go out on the terrace. 

we give it a solid 7/10.
I once joked that it would be nice to meet my pension here))))

A comfortable place for a short holiday

Well located sea facing and rooms are very big and spacious however they need to improve on hospitality.

There was an incident when my friend was swimming and had a stroke that was unable to breath easily. There were no guard and o help. When I requested one of the staff to jump to support he could not help either. My family with little additional efforts pulled him out.. no manager or incharge came over to speak to me in person or even acknowledged. There was no medical room and I did not expect this from a five star hotel. 

I kept asking that I would like to speak to general manager and he neither called me nor was interested to show any interest to the event to what happened 

I would never stay here and will not recommend to any one my family only due to lack of hospitality. 

Location is good and you can get taxi on a call. It is extreme end so anywhere you commute will take time.

Good hotel but lacks hospitality
