こんなに素敵なホテルは初めてでした！初日はバーに行きましたがスタッフの方達はとても親切でお洒落な方達でした。カクテルもとても美味しいので宿泊の方はバーに行くことを強くおすすめします。
ホテルの部屋は清潔感があり、様々な気遣いが施されていました。

ホテルの部屋はとても広く夜は夜景、朝はゆっくりビルを見ながらお風呂に入ることができます。
日常では味わえないとても素敵なお風呂でした。このお部屋を使うことができて幸運でした。
朝の支度は女友達2人で言ったので鏡が2つある所が嬉しかったです。

早朝6時に楽しみにしていたプールに行きましたが静けさと美しい朝日とビル風景に癒されました。バンコクの渋滞で食事の予定が迫ってきていましたが、受付の方が迅速にフレンドリーに接してくれたので助かりました！またホテルのドアマンの方もとてもジェントルマンでホテルの最初の印象がとても良かったです。た。
良い部屋だけでなく素敵なスタッフの方達のおかげで私達のバンコクの旅はとても満足できるものになりました。本当にありがとう！

This was my first time staying at such a nice hotel! On the first day, I went to the bar, and the staff were very kind and stylish. The cocktails were also very delicious, so I strongly recommend that guests stay at the bar.

The hotel room was clean and had a lot of thoughtful touches.

The hotel room was very spacious, and you could take a bath while looking at the night view at night and the buildings in the morning.

It was a very nice bath that you can't experience in your daily life. I was lucky to be able to use this room.

I went with two female friends to get ready in the morning, so I was happy that there were two mirrors.

I went to the pool that I was looking forward to at 6am in the morning, and I was healed by the tranquility, the beautiful sunrise, and the view of the buildings. I was in Bangkok's traffic jam and my meal plans were looming, but the receptionist was quick and friendly, which was a relief! The hotel doorman was also a very gentleman, and my first impression of the hotel was very good.

Not only was the room nice, but the wonderful staff made our trip to Bangkok very satisfying. Thank you so much!

Whenever I come back to Bangkok, this will be my favorite hotel. The overall experience is great and I have nothing to complaint, not a small thing.

Recommendable to everyone

I organised a trip to Bangkok for my wife’s  Birthday and stayed at Avani + Riverside .This is my second time here and  very special for us. “Pong” restaurant manager and team made my wife’s breakfast very special with a guitar/singing a lovely Happy Birthday song as well as giving her a beautiful birthday cake!!!! It was absolutely brilliant. Thank you all very much we will  be again and again 🙏🙏🙏💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

A friend recommended this hotel in Bangkok, and I took the offer to stay there during a long weekend visit.

The property is beautiful - modern, chic, clean and a hand-full (mind you, just a hand-full) of good service staff. However, I am mystified by this policy, which till today, none of the managers can explained fully. Even the GM, a Wis Sanles Jose, would not want to meet me to explain.

But first let me tell you about my journey to the hotel.

We arrived at the Sathorn Jetty. A bit puzzled where the hotel is. I had written in a month earlier for directions. We followed the directions and to our surprise, they gave us a wrong walking-to-hotel directions (the hotel assumes we are taking the train to a station next to IconSiam Mall). After a walk of 15 mins from Sathorn Jetty in circle following the map, we asked for directions and a kind local Thai accompanied us back to the Sathorn Jetty and told us to wait for the Anantara boat which will bring us across to the hotel.

A reasonable waiting time of approx. 20 mins and the boat arrived. The boat offload a few guests and we then boarded expecting the staff/crew to assist with the luggage. Nope, they did not offer a hand and we had to lift our luggage ourselves onto the boat. The tide was high then and it was dangerously with the boat rocking due to the wake/waves created by other boats. W struggled but we got our luggage on board.

We stayed with some of the hotels under the Minor Group as we are fans. Throughout the journey, there was no safety boat briefings, no cold towels or bottled water served. We were the only two passengers on the boat. 

After 15-20mins ride, we arrived at the jetty of the hotel. Here again, we had to carry/drag our bags from boat to the end of the jetty. We were a bit confused as we landed. It was the Anantara. After speaking to the security guard, he says to just walk ahead and we will come to another building, which is the Avani+

After 10 mins of turning into wrong corridors, we managed to arrive at the doorstep of the Avani+. The lobby looks beautiful, but it is not the check-in/out lobby for guests. One of the staff we met, told us it was on the 11th floor. Still no one assist with our luggage. We drag it to the 11th floor.

Check-in was a wee bit too long approx. 15mins and it was just us and another couple.

The room was nice but the view was exhilarating. We were on the 25th floor. The room layout and amenities were great. We love it.

The gym was on our floor level, and it was nicely equipped. Gets a wee bit crowded between 630am to 9am. Well-kept machines. 

The infinity pool on level 26th was small, a 25m pool length but the view was awesome especially in the night. It gets crowded just before sunset and if there are kids the noise is unbearable if you are having a quiet time for drinks at the bar next to it called SEEN. 

As it was the Euro Cup 2024, they screen it on level 11th but sadly it was not advertised openly. Even the staff have no idea if they are screening it as we spoke to Khun Alice. She says no at first and then changed her mind and said, no idea. We discovered it by ourselves.

Breakfast area was small. Go early when it opens (best time at 7am to 730am) or there is a waiting period (crowded at 8am to 930am). They serve a buffet but not one of the best within the Minor Group of hotels and resorts. Can do better.

Only hindsight on the location, all the best shopping, dining, cafes, nightlife is on the opposite side of the river. Last ferry 1130pm and if you miss, it's going to hurt with the taxi costs!!! We learnt our lesson!

Now comes this weird policy which I have never come across in my travels:

We all know guests checking in must deposit a security/incidental charge amounted to the number of nights. It could be cash or credit card as informed by the receptionist, Khun Top. We have always opt for cash as it takes too long to reverse such charges, if made.

During our stay, we had dinner at their rooftop bar/restaurant, SEEN. Beautiful restaurant, good food, awesome night view of Bangkok. The staff there was gracious, polite and service with excellence namely Khun Baifern. After we had quite a bit to eat and drink, we asked for the bill, and we usually sign to our room. To our surprise, we were not allowed to sign to our room because we pay in cash our security/incidental charge. FYI the bill was less than our deposit. Khun Baifern says it is a policy of the hotel. We were not told of it during check-in. So it was a hassle as I did not carry my card or cash. I ask why and Khun Baifern says it is a policy and she did not know what the actual reason is. Not her fault. 

I request to see the Manager and she brought me down to see the Duty Manager, Khun Paan. She too says it's the policy of the hotel and the receptionist should have inform the guest. Khun Paan do not know the reason too. I asked to see the GM if he could explain but he was unavailable, and I told them I would like to make an appt to see the GM or someone who can explain to me this policy tomorrow morning.

Next day, the GM was off and could not see me. Fair enough. So, the Front Office Manager, Khun Patrick, met me. He too says it's the hotel policy and cannot explain why. Because of this policy, I had to bring cash and credit card and it was so inconvenient when one purpose is to enjoy the facilities of the hotel with no hassle. 

It's about time the hotel or Minor Group review this policy. Witha cashless society, maybe a credit card deposit is mandatory. No cash.

Plus I don't understand why the GM did not even give a courtesy call to explain. We did not get to see him. 

However, I must give credit to these staff that should be the captains of this hotel and not the GM:

Khun Thiwanee - BESTEST of all staff. Sweetheart to most of the guest I spoke to. Thank you for your most excellent service.
Khun Jae and the F&B team at breakfast - Breakfast server with a willing smile. Thank you.
Khun Tee - always accommodating at the breakfast table. Thank you
Khun Baifern - thank you for your patience and services
Housekeeping Team - thank you for the spick and span service.
Khun Patrick - with your recommendations on another stay in Bangkok city area, we have a confirmed booking for 13-15 Dec 2024 at the Anantara Siam Bangkok. This time 3 rooms. Thank you!!!

Great Hotel Facilities But Poor Top Management Service

We stayed in this hotel and found the staff and hotel amazing and exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail and also going out of the way to please we were blown away after a special request for a beverage not on the menu, found its way on our table. This was met at no charge special mention to Jae Phongsak and his team fantastic job guys keep it up. Location is handy as a short free boat trip across the river takes you to the door steps of the city. From there onto the sky train very cheap transport to anywhere cheers to you all
