Itinerary

Day 1
UK to Phuket

Depart on your overnight flight to Phuket for your Khao Sak adventure.

Day 2
Phuket to Khao Sok

Lunch & Dinner

Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and drive to Sarasin Bridge, a pedestrian walkway that spans 700 meters and connects Phuket with mainland Thailand, take the opportunity to take photos and enjoy the views. Afterward, visit the Tsunami Memorial Site, paying tribute to the thousands of people who lost their lives during the 2004 tsunami. You will then head to Rommanee Hot Spring, where you can enjoy a self-foot-spa or a full-body soak. Next, enjoy lunch at Khao Sok Discovery Restaurant before embarking on a leisurely 45-minute to 1-hour canoe trip along Khao Sok River, passing by dramatic limestone cliffs and abundant tropical flora and fauna. Stop at Khao Sok to appreciate the unparalleled views of the surrounding area before visiting Monkey Temple and Cave to observe its playful monkeys and discover the cave. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3
Khao Sok to Khao Lak

Today you will venture back into the jungle with a three-hour hike through pristine Khao Sok National Park, established in 1980 as Thailand's 22nd national park. The sprawling park spans 739 sq-km and features unspoiled natural landscapes, such as ancient evergreen rainforests dating back 160 million years, cascading waterfalls, dramatic limestone karsts, deep valleys, breathtaking lakes, caves, and an abundance of unique flora and fauna. During the hike, you will take a self-guided nature trail with information about the native plants, reptiles, butterflies, birds, and other wildlife that inhabit the park, as well as their traditional uses, including their medicinal properties. After lunch, return to your accommodation for check-out and then transfer to Khao Lak for your beach stay.

Khao Lak

This time is at leisure. Explore Khao Lak at your own pace. Relax on the sandy beaches, or explore the local area.

Day 12
Khao Lak to UK

After breakfast, transfer to Phuket airport for your flight back to the UK.

This deluxe resort offers a relaxed Thai design and is located on Khao Lak beach front surrounded by 15 acres of lush tropical gardens, access from Phuket International Airport by approximately 50 minutes car transfer.

A choice of cuisine is on offer at the resorts 2 restaurants; enjoy Asian classics and full breakfast buffets at 'The Garden' and seafood dishes overlooking the beach at 'The Veranda Restaurant'. If booking more than 12 weeks before departure a deposit of €324.50pp will need to be paid at the time of booking with the full amount payable at 12 weeks prior to departure. The deposit applies to adults and children. If you are within 12 weeks of travel then the full balance of the holiday will be payable.

A visa is not required before you travel to Thailand; you will be issued with a tourist visa valid for 30 days on arrival into the country. The currency in Thailand is the Thai Baht (THB). We recommend that you exchange you currency before you leave the UK, however cash machines are available in all the major cities to withdraw money in the local currency.

As normal practice you may be asked for your credit card details on check-in at the hotel in order to cover any extras incurred during your stay. If you do not have a credit card, you may be asked for a cash deposit. MasterCard and Visa are widely accepted in hotels as well as American Express.

You will need to take some extra money with you to cover any dinners where these are not mentioned on your itinerary and personal purchases, such as souvenirs, extra drinks and snacks. Approximately £200-£300 per person should be sufficient for the duration of your holiday.

Tipping is not compulsory and is at your discretion to tip for your driver and if you hire a guide. We would recommend to tip approximately £2-3 per person per day/trip. Tips are accepted in the local currency.

We have no minimum number of passengers to run this holiday. If we are not able to operate your departure date for any other reason, then you may be asked to change to a different date and a full refund will be made available to you should this alternative not be suitable.

For your tour portion, you will have a guide/driver with you during your excursions.

For the beach portion of your holiday, you will not be escorted by a tour guide. Your time here will be free to do as you wish. Details of your departure transfer will be confirmed by your guide.

It is not recommended to drink the tap water, even in developed countries water may contain unfamiliar elements that can cause upset stomachs. In less developed countries water is not filtered in the same way.

During this time many shops and business close for the celebrations. Because they are such important religious occasions, there are temporary restrictions in place on alcohol sales with entertainment venues in some areas also closing.
