This is quite possibly the worst experience I have Ever in my life, had at supposed “3 star” hotel.

To say the air conditioning in the room didn’t function would be an understatement. When in fact it seemed to serve the complete opposite purpose and made the room resemble the sort of sauna I would expect to see in a high end leisure centre I.e it was double hot.

The most personally damaging part of the experience was the fact that a precious family heirloom (a Franck Muller) watch worth over 9 thousand British sterling pounds), handed down for over 7 generations was snatched from the room, as there was no safety deposit box to store valuables. I can’t say with complete certainty that it was the cleaners, however, as the only other individuals with access to the room, I would place a large amount of suspicion in their direction. 

Upon arrival we were greeted with nice service and smiles and shown to the room where the bell boy was more than excited to tell us that the entire, yes the entire, mini bar was completely free of charge. Despite several witnesses being to confirm this, when it came time to check out they demanded a fee that was nothing short of extortionate for a couple of bottles water and a few cans of beer. There was no negotiating the fee as at first mention of not paying we were threatened with immediate imprisonment and potential torture from connections in the Thai mafioso.

All in all the hotel service was poor, the swimming pool would more accurately be named a pond looking at the colour of it, and if you don’t wish to contract a serious illness, I suggest you avoid the food at all costs.

WARNING DO NOT STAY AT FIRST HOUSE!!!!

Dangerous, unclean and quite possibly the worst establishment I have ever stayed in. I wanted to take my wife and three year old child on a relaxing holiday in Thailand and experienced quite the opposite. Not only were the staff abusive towards my wife after she requested a room change because of a broken air conditioning unit, Samui First House is also located in one of the most dangerous places in Koh Samui, riddled with thieves, prostitutes and peadophiles (Nonces). We moved on to a much more suitable hotel after one night. 

DO NOT STAY FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR FAMILY!

AVOID SAMUI SNAKE PIT AT ALL COSTS

I only wish it was possible to give a negative star review. This hotel is one of the worst I’ve ever stayed at in Thailand. It started out the day of check-in the room they tried to give us was nothing like the photo that we booked online it was a box with no windows. After complaining we were moved to an attic room with the ceiling of about 7 feet and 102° temperature. After refusing this room we were moved to our third room which was Acceptable at last although the air-conditioning never worked at full capacity. Breakfast, horrible  one attendant for the entire hotel. Birds Landing in the open food ants in the bread.
    The final straw was today before check out we ask the policy on late check out, I was greeted by three attendants at the front desk none of which spoke English, or knew how to read or write English. Ones lapel was labeled “bellboy”...  apparently the “bellboy” runs the hotel from morning till 1 PM when a manager shows up daily... or should I say 1:10 PM because their clock in time Machine is late. Needless to say we have not had any credible information about late check out the cost of which and no one is addressing our concerns. Finally ,  I went back to the room to collect the rules and regulations booklet for the hotel that’s left in every hotel room and presented the policy to the front desk staff who again laughed and giggled and didn’t speak a word of English. Our experience here has been beyond infuriating. HORRIBLE! Unprofessional unacceptable, To mention also that the hotel is falling apart ceiling tiles falling in outlets fault breaking not working dangerous conditions on the stairways that are broken... let’s not forget about the tidal river that pumps raw sewage past the pool twice per day!!!  

Never! I mean NEVER! Stay here.

Only a few steps away from the beach. Stayed on the walk-up block on 1st floor, sound insulation was OK, room big enough for 2 pax, separate beds. Had coffee making, free wifi, replenished drinking water daily and friendly housekeeping staff. Air-cond temperature could be controlled. Bed was OK, a little on the hard side. Bathroom / toilet was a bit cramped. Food & mini-mart & tour agent within walking distance 5 mnutes. Best to rent a scooter for easy travel. Breakfast was OK, but could have had more variety or some change in menu daily.

GOOD LOCATION

This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel. But for the first time since the pandemic.
Its main advantage is access to the private beach of Chaweng Noi and the infrastructure of the First family hotels. The hotel itself consists of several buildings with an average pool. The room has everything you need to relax. Because the hotel had just opened, there were only a couple of guests, breakfast, which was included, was served to us personally or in the room or on the terrace of the floor. Everything is delicious and quite varied. Checked in earlier without additional charges and discharged later without additional charges.
I really don't want to write anything bad about this hotel. The staff works very hard and it shows. During the pandemic, the entire infrastructure of Koh Samui was badly damaged. They just recently opened. Access to the beach by the bridge (this is the only way to get there) was permanently closed. I had to ask the front desk to open it every time. Or go through First Boongalo and prove that you are on the same network. The pool is not cleaned, because there are no guests. Rooms are a bit old. They tried to freshen up, painted, but it does not help, because the furniture is the same ancient and plumbing too. Everything leaks and looks unreliable. Especially need to change all bedding. Very old pillowcases, bedspreads stained and stained. Loud air conditioning, in which it is difficult to set the temperature, but after a while you get used to the noise.

Excellent location and infrastructure that has not yet recovered after the pandemic.

The hotel can be found on the biggest island of the gulf of Siam at the end of Chaweng Beach, away from the crowded beach area, which allows guests to enjoy quiet and calm surroundings. It is not far from the airport and within walking distance from the shopping, entertainment and nightlife area. Public transport is quite accessible if preferred. The property is the perfect option for families with children and for those guests wishing to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The spacious rooms welcome guests into a comfortable atmosphere featuring all the essential amenities needed for a pleasant and memorable experience.
