Booked this hotel going off great reviews,baffled by them now we have stayed at the varinda,people must of stayed in a different room to us,our room was nothing like advertised on Booking.com the room was dark dirty and shabby,gaps all over the walls so you could see outside,and smell the guys weed who was smoking underneath,bed and pillows were hard  "although we did get new ones on request" I'm used to roughing it as I camp at numerous festivals,but this was on a different level,we have stayed in 7 hotels over the last month,all lived up to there reviews,except this one,if they put the effort into cleaning it like they do the artwork all over the place it would be better,only positive was the sea view.

Dirty 

Stayed at varinda for 1 week , certainly not value for money , the place was dirty dark &  mouldy , upon closing the so called curtains the dust was unbelievable ,had to use a towel because the curtains never covered the window , the sink was filthy,  the toilet had never seen bleach , you could see through the walls they were like pallets, , the shower was max 4ft high , the bed was rock hard , that's because it was basically a sheet of 8x4 plywood , had to wipe our feet on the way out .

Most amazing place on this island! We can fully recommend: its just amazing. Calm, in the middle of the nature, a most amazing, wellcoming, creative and friendly family that hosts the resort.  We had two amazing weeks here. Nothing like these all-the-same other resorts. Creativ, beautifull, animal-friendly, open-hearded an fun! Go there, it will make you happy.

Amazing! It's a little paradise!

I spend 10 nights in a cozy colourful designed bungalow with a terrace surrounded by a beautiful and lovingly tended garden. 
The bungalow was climatized with a really comfy bed, room clean up and fresh water every day. 

Beside the bungalows whole Varinda resort including it’s facilities such as breakfast/restaurant area, pool, garden, etc is absolutely unique and lovely designed by the most friendliest and kindhearted resort owners I’ve ever met while travelling Thailand. Really helpful and friendly staff. I always felt welcome and well taken care of. 

The resort is just a short walk from the beach, located quietly on a small hill with beautiful greenery and palm trees without traffic noise what promises relaxing sleep.
Also the main street of Lamai where you can find restaurants, bars, stores and the night market for food and drinks starts in walking distance or quick scooter ride.

Varindas breakfast/restaurant and pool area is overlooking Lanka town and the sea so you definitely shouldn’t miss to enjoy your coffee there in the morning with a fresh served fruit platter (or other fresh prepared breakfast meals) by sunrise.

For me this resort is more than just a holiday accommodation, it’s a place where my journey of being part of Thailands lifestyle starts, where you can find rest and simply enjoy life. A home far away from home.
 
I absolutely recommend Varinda Garden Resort and I’m looking so much forward to come back!

Second home on Samui

I lived there from 28/05/2023 to 10/06/2023. It is such a beautiful place with a lot of attention to detail. The service is great, the rooms are clean. It's a family run place and everyone is keen to make you feel at home. It is very central to the Lamaicentrum and yet quiet. Furthermore, there is a great view over Lamai from the restaurant and the pool. I will book this accommodation again for my next holiday. 

Great experience

Superbly located at the summit of a hill and surrounded by mountains covered with lush tropical forest on one side, and the sea on the other, this resort is the perfect getaway. Its guests will be in one of the most peaceful areas in Koh Samui - Lamai Beach, just a 5-minute walk from the sandy strip and 10-minutes from a number of activities and entertainment options. The resort inhabits a lush green garden, with wild trees, plants and flower pots, and provides ultimate relaxation for guests in a truly tropical surrounding. Owned and operated as a family business it prides itself on its excellent and friendly services. Guests can enjoy delicious meals at the onsite restaurant and let their youngest family members blow the steam off at the kid's playground. The bar is the perfect place for a relaxed drink at the end of the day and some pleasant chats while watching the sunset.
