Pool

We have been here for almost a week now and have a few days left. It really is a gem of a place. A tad quirky in places (we love that), and very laid back. Stunning views and very friendly service. The adult pool is perfect for swimming lengths as well which is a bonus (30m long from black box to black box for Garmin geeks). The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have ever experienced and superb fresh omelettes. An excellent local Thai hut/restaurant is only a 5 mins safe and lit walk from hotel. Some reviews criticise the food at the Cerulean but our experience was fine and very atmospheric in a mild storm last night. We love this place and have never been so relaxed. We are in a “swim up” sea view room which means two steps from room to pool! Another unsung bonus is pretty much unlimited bottles drinking water in the rooms. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent hotel and stunning views.

What is not to love about the ShellSea resort. From the minute we arrived we felt welcome. It is such a friendly relaxed resort, with direct access to a beautiful beach. We loved the people, the activities on offer, the location! Our daughter loved taking part in the children’s activities they offered. We loved trying paddle boarding and the village walk. The pools are lovely and a great place to relax or to swim. The spa was such a relaxing, spiritual place to go and the signature massage was to die for.  We found the food delicious. We would go back tomorrow if we could! There is a shuttle service into Ao Nang, which gave us the opportunity to go and explore a little further afield. A lovely lady in reception can organise activities for you if you want to go out. We went kayaking in a mangrove lake.

A wonderful place to relax in Ao Nang

Boutique hotel. We chose the ocean view pool villa and happy we did. First of all April is very hot so difficult to do anything during the day, the sea was warm (not refreshing) and full of jellyfish. So we spent most of our six days in our private pool.. the room is beautiful, big lounge, huge bed and huge bathroom. Little kitchenette. I would give the room a 9.5/10. I wouldn’t give 10 because the light switch system is mad.. there’s like 10 switches in the bathroom 🤷‍♀️
The staff are amazingly nice.. a special mention to Ya, the lovely waiter who brought out in room dining. 
Food : we took the full board package. Breakfast was fine. Had everything. Croissant and pain au chocolat were not great (Im French) but the buffet had something for everyone. 
Menu for lunch and dinner is the same for both restaurant so after a few days we had a hit enough. But the food was very well cooked and tasty. We ordered in room lunch and dinner as was nicer than the restaurant for us. 
We forgot our sunscreen and we burnt the first day. The hotel does not sell any so we took the little bus to the little town to get some. Not much to see in the town.. 
one day we did take the hotel bikes to the fossil shell cemetery. 
We had 3 massages during our 6 day stay and the two morning ones were great. I would not recommend booking late afternoon as the masseuses are tired and the 5pm afternoon massage was not great. 
All in all we had a lovely relaxing stay but would not come back in April as way too hot and would like more salads in the menu.

Relaxing week

After a busy week touring Thailand this was the  perfect hotel for us to relax completely in a very quiet setting.
We stayed in a villa room and we were blown away with how private and amazing it was . 
All the staff were super helpful and very attentive , they could have done no more for us.
The hotel is approx 10 minutes by car to Ao nang we booked the hotel bus the day before and had no problems going into the town for dinner .we also used the spa for massages and again they were brilliant and of a high standard .

Amazing relaxing family holiday

The villa I took was beautiful, large, and comfortable, and the staff treated me great, but unfortunately I did not expect the 5-star hotel does not have a smart TV. In addition the bathroom leaked water during my stay  they repaired it twice and it still does.

Not Worth the High Price

This 5 star hotel is located in the city centre of Krabi and was established in 2017. It is close to the Shell Fossil Beach. The Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre/gym. All 85 rooms are equipped with minibar, hairdryer, safe, ironing set and air conditioning.
