The hotel amenities were great and the staff was very helpful. However, the common areas are not air conditioned and the air conditioning in our room barely worked. My husband and I visited for three days and it was over 100 degrees F. We ended up having a lot of trouble sleeping and felt uncomfortable for the duration of our trip.

Nice amenities but lacked effective air conditioning

Let me premise this by saying the staff at reception and in the restaurant are really lovely and helpful.  
The initial overview of the property is the same as the posted photos, but looks can be deceiving.
Beach bungalow outlook, although pretty, did not have any views of the beach. As per photos. 
Our entry to our bungalow was very disappointing and dirty and we had mould on all the curtains in our room. As per the photos. 
Our bungalow bar fridge was no better than a small storage box. It did not keep anything cold and if you had any medication, diabetic or insulin medication, I had to leave it in the restaurant fridge.  Each day I had to ask staff for my medication, it was quite embarrassing.
Public bathrooms next to the restaurant were disgraceful.  Exposed pipes, filthy doors and open containers with used sanitary napkins, as per photos.
Again, I want to emphasise the staff are really amazing, but in no way is this a 4 star hotel,  at best, It would be maybe a 3 star.  As a side note, with the amount of the new hotel construction in the area, I can see this very tired hotel , sliding down even further.

Initial looks can be deceiving

My family often choose Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa for our summer vacation every year in June because our kids really love this beautiful place. As always, we had an absolutely amazing time at the resort. The staff made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. The room was spacious, clean with cozy décor. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options. We also had a great dinner at L'annam restaurant, it was tasty and good value for money. We will definitely come back!

Our annual vacation

We loved our time at the hotel. Staff were very welcoming. We had adjoining rooms and asked to be in a quiet area. Rooms were great. Our rooms were cleaned by housekeeping twice a day. It does have an Indochina feel to it with the games room and library decor. The hotel atmosphere is very peaceful with all the flowers, statues and pond. I would come back anytime as they made us all comfortable and sought to our needs.

Family friendly and welcoming

It is a beautiful place that offers joyful experiences, especially for sports lovers. Tennis, football, kayaking...all are easily found at Victoria Hoi An. We spent most of our time swimming at the private beach of the resort, it is clean and safe.
