A lovely hotel with great and very helpful staff. Breakfast is good and the swimming pool area is excellent with views over the bay. Food by the pool is very good. 
We didn’t use the spa but I am told it is great. 
People have mentioned about building work. We had the large room with huge terrace overlooking the bay in the building still being finished. 
We had no issues. The work being done is more than just a finishing touch but they are getting there. We were not disturbed. There are no cranes etc. it is just finishing the second roof top pool I presume, tiling etc. 
Over all a great hotel in a fantastic location. They own a restaurant as well called Dom’s which is truly fantastic. All the restaurants in the area are great. I would also like to recommend Indian Kitchen across from the front of hotel as being outstanding. 
The coffee and cake lounge at reception called the Prickly Pear also highly recommended with fabulous cakes, great staff all night and good coffee. 
We will definitely be back when it is completed.

Great hotel Great location Great staff

We are just back after a one week stay at the Solana and unfortunately I do not think I would return. 

We arrived early to the hotel on check in and had to wait a few hours for our room which was fine. In this time my partner had spoke to some front desk staff about some conversations he had over email before arriving. He was trying to organise some flowers/chocolate in the room for an occasion and had been speaking to the hotel over email. On arriving he had asked could he please pay for what was organised and he was then informed that nothing was. Front desk assured him that they would bring something to the room but this did not occur and ruined his surprise. This was then flagged and no further action. 

On arriving in the room it was very bare and the ‘balcony’ left a lot to be desired. Two chairs on the balcony with 0 space to actually sit into them - pointless balcony. The hairdryer also was abysmal and barely worked. There was heavy construction in the hotel too on the roof of the building we were in, which was extremely loud and never mentioned to us prior. 

The top deck is great but the lounger situation leaves a lot left to be desired. The beds are ontop of eachother so it is quite uncomfortable. The food and drink on that level is great though. I wanted to note aswell, although this is probably our own fault, the pictures we saw made it look like there was a pool/swimup bar which is the main reason we booked the hotel. I think some of the photos online do make it look like this exists however it is just a normal bar on the top level - just to note incase anyone else though the same.

There is also another restaurant tosco which was in construction and again was never noted. 

On the final day we headed down for a massage and the experience was very rushed. The massage itself was great but there was no relaxation room or water offered afterward which is usually the norm. It was get dressed straight after the massage and leave. 

On being down at the spa level, we walked through the back entrance and found a second outdoor pool which again was never noted to us on check in. I think for the cost of the hotel it did not really live up to the expectations.

Disappointed - basic hotel but expected more

Great pool deck on top floor, happy hour between 16-17 pm, great and helpful staff just one call away on the telephone. Good distance to everything. About 1 hour bus to Sliema/Valletta, 5 min bus to the beach and some good restaurants near the hotel.

The ambiance of the hotel is luxurious yet welcoming, with beautifully designed interiors and spotless cleanliness. Adam's exceptional service significantly enhanced my overall experience at the hotel. It is clear that he takes great pride in his work and genuinely cares about the guests. He is a true asset to Solana Hotel and exemplifies the high standards of hospitality that the hotel stands for.

It's been great to come back once again at the Solana Hotel.

The Hotel is getting every year bigger & bigger and also better & better, with more rooms, more rooms' selection with some fine luxury option, larger public areas and all properly manned by the right amount of employees on duty in each department, which is key to deliver the best service possible at all times.

Junior Suites include all the facilities of the Twin room and come with a kitchenette and dining table.
