Pool

We were staying at the hotel of a week on a half board basis. It’s a family hotel, and tattoos and children are an essential pre request if you wish to stay here.
The hotel is very clean and well presented. It has been refurbished to a high standard, and there are teams of cleaning staff constantly visible keeping the place pristine. There is a large pool area which is great for the kids, and offers a pool side bar and snack bar .
There is a large dining area and outside seating which is also very clean. The dining room is a little disjointed in terms of the food layout, and you wander around looking for condiments etc that are not in the obvious place you would assume they would be.
More often than not the hot food was quite cold, and the dining plates are also cold. There are microwaves which are not full sized, so you scrape your food onto a smaller plate and nuke it for a minute to heat it up. The tea and coffee machines are only switched on for breakfast. 
The room was clean and tidy. You can hear everything from guests in the surrounding rooms No kettle or iron is provided in the room. Guest with young children who needed to heat up milk etc either had to pay five euro a day plus a ten euro deposit for a kettle. This is supposed to be a four star hotel. Some guest went to the Chinese shop and bought one for eight euro. An Iron is also available for a similar cost. The key safe in the room is available at a cost of five euro a day (rising to nine euro a day if your stay is less than seven nights!) plus a ten euro deposit.
In 2024 I do not expect to have to bring a travel kettle and iron with me to a four star hotel. Charging for the key safe is an outrage. It’s petty and penny pinching which lets the hotel chain down.
The access road to the hotel is very narrow in places, which is impossible to use with a pushchair or wheelchair/mobility scooter. The road is not exclusively used by the hotel and we witnessed several close shaves with motor vehicles. It is not safe, and would not be permitted in the UK.
We won’t be using any of the Globales hotels again.

Tattoos, children, and earplugs are the essential pre request required to stay here.

Myself, fiancee and 2 children aged 5 and 8 stayed at this hotel for 10 nights in June. We couldn't fault the hotel in any way and are already looking at re booking. We were on the top floor which we initially thought would be abit of a nightmare but it actually worked out well. We had no noise and the lifts were frequent. 

The pools were ideal for children and they loved the slides. There were plenty of lifeguards around the pools and at the top of the slides to make sure everyone was safe.  The pools were cold however once you were in, it was lovely to cool down from the heat. The pools opened at 10am and there were long queues for the sunbeds. We didn't queue up at all however we still managed to get 4 sunbeds everyday no matter if we went to the pool at 11am or 3pm. 
The pool closed at 8pm and the gates were locked to make sure no one could get around them.

The beach is only a short walk away and ideal to break the day up. I would recommend taking your own floats as they are pricey.

The room was spotless and was cleaned every day. 

The snack bar had a nice variety of options and was good to go to if you wanted a change from the hotel restaurant. 

The hotel restaurant had a large variety of options every night and there was always plenty to choose from. The salad, cheese and meats bar was lovely if you wanted a lighter meal. Some of the food would have been nicer if it were abit warmer but there are microwaves located around the restaurant. 

The staff in the restaurant, bars, snack bar, cleaners etc were all very friendly and were good with the children.

There is a small park that the girls also enjoyed playing on especially in the evening. 

There is entertainment around the pool in the day that both children and adults enjoyed getting involved with. Our children didn't really bother with the evening entertainment as they wanted to be in the park, however there was entertainment each night. 

There are hotel photographers that take some really lovely pictures of your family which your not obliged to buy. They take the pics and give you a time slot to view them. The pictures were lovely but I felt they were quite expensive. It was 56 Euros for 6 photos on a USB. 

Kids can have unlimited ice pops and pots of small ice creams for both the main bar a pool bar. But the more popular ice creams and lollies like Magnums ect are not icluded in the all inclusive as you would expect.

The hotel itself is a 10 min taxi journey marina and to the Selwo marina (a zoo) for dolphin shows ect. (A bit pricey as its only a 3hr day at max) the taxis to both are only €7 euros and the reception will arrange one for you, or you can use your own uber app. 
Just be mindful with Uber some drivers will take children without car seats, and some won't as we found out. So I would recommend just using a local taxi for the same price.

One thing to bare in mind is the whole hotel is cashless. So take a monzo card or something alike and always pay in euro option as if a better exchange rate. If you do take cash you can load this onto a pre paid wrist band at reception.

Great family hotel. Hotel was perfect for the children who had a great time.

We had a great family holiday here - with kids aged 6 and 10 months.

The pools are brilliant, we spent most of the time in the splash pool which has enough depth in it that you can sit in it rather than a splash pad, so you can spend a lot of time in there. The water does start a bit chilly but warms up as the sun comes over.

Seen a lot of reviews about the food not being great and a few comments from people when we were there but we didn’t find that. The food wasn’t the hottest, but for an all inclusive buffet you expect that.

Every evening there is a hot grill cooking fresh fish and meat so this is hot and cooked as you watch. There’s a great selection of dishes too which changes - we had mussels, slow cooked beef cheeks, braised veal and many other things whilst we were there. There is the usual pizza and chips too as well as lots of bread, cheeses and meats.

There is a snack bar by the pool open 12-7 which did toasties, hot dogs, nuggets and burgers all with chips which was great for the kids when they didn’t want to leave the pool.

They do a theme night, seemingly every other night, and we had a burger night, Mexican, tapas and Italian whilst we were there. This adds a nice variety.

The room isn’t the biggest but is easily manageable. There were four of us and a travel cot in the room and it was absolutely fine.

Our six year old loved the kids club and the various competitions they did and the evening entertainment was a big hit too.

The only real downside was the queueing. The queue for the pool starts at about 9am (opens at 10am) and if you’re down any later than 10am then you do struggle to find a couple of sun beds next to each other. The queue for the snack bar can also be quite long and the service quite slow, they only have one person making it and taking the orders and it’s pretty much made to order which can take time.

For the price we paid, we really enjoyed it as an affordable choice.

Great family holiday

We were super impressed with our stay. Rooms very clean and spacious for 2 adults & two children with a nice pool view balcony. We chose the bed and breakfast option and were impressed with breakfast! The pool was absolutely amazing for my 18 month old and 6 year old. I would recommend bringing some sort of life jacket for the younger kids as these are expensive there ( we paid 30 euros) and are a god send. Friendly staff , kids loved the mini disco. It does get quite busy and you need to que to get a good spot round the pool but we never struggled. The park nearby was great too. Would definitely reccomend and stay again! We had a great holiday.

Perfect for families

Was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, no reason to be concerned.A four night break myself (53) daughter(30) and grandchildren (6&18months).
We were on third floor overlooking the pool. Happy with the room (size & cleanliness). Small fridge in room, unfortunately only works when the room card is in the electric slot( spoilt milk for toddler).
Rooms made up everyday. We had no issues with noise.
Pool area is fab, perfect for families with children of all ages. Large slide water park for older children. And a shallower play water park for the littlies.
Pool Bar area and play area are in the vicinity of the little children’s water park. Ideal for the 6 yr old to come and go as she pleased with her new friends.
People do queue at the pool-gate (opens at10). We joined the back of the queue at 9.50 and got chairs (reclining chairs not beds around kids pool) 
Also a no frills pool and baby pool available too. 
We were b&b, breakfast was great. So much choice. Definitely something for everyone.
The children loved the evening disco.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.
This is not a hotel for couples looking for a romantic, peaceful,child free break!

Brilliant family friendly hotel

Located in Benalmadena, in a residential area just 200 m from the beach and Malaga Airport is about 8 km away. This hotel is 2 km from the city centre and its many shops and entertainment areas while the stunning Marina City is only 1 km away. The hotel offers a cosy bar, a souvenir shop, a TV room and a restaurant. The hotel also offers laundry service and the younger guests will be entertained at the kids' club and playground. The hotel boasts a water park, with a lake pool and water games for children. For the younger ones there are two animal-shaped pools, a shark and sea serpent, a mushroom-shaped shower and a tower with two water slides and a splash bucket that will make for an exciting holiday.
