Top notch hotel at a budget price
Top notch hotel at a budget price. A family of 8, all adults ranging from age 50 to 86 years old stayed at Servatur Playa Bonita for 7 days to the beginning of September and found everything about it to be beyond our expectations. The grounds were lovely and well maintained, the rooms were clean and spacious and have obviously been modernised quite recently, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food on offer was excellent in range and quality and the hotel is close to local amenities and shops. If i had to find something to moan about, it was the fact there was not the usual table tennis table on site. The entertainment was a good as you normally expect from your all inclusive holiday resort ..... a bit of cheesy fun for all the family.

Worst and most unfriendly reception service ever
Worst and most unfriendly reception service ever I have never experienced such poor and unfriendly service at a hotel reception. Since my wife is pregnant and our departure was not until 4:00 PM, we asked upon arrival if it was possible to arrange a late check-out or book an extra night, so my wife could rest in the afternoon before leaving. First, we were told to come back 3 to 4 days before departure. When we did, we were told they could only check availability 1 day prior. They promised to make a note, which turned out to be nothing more than drawing a circle around our room number. When we asked again 1 day before departure, we were immediately told—without even checking the system—that the hotel was 100% fully booked. Despite re-explaining our situation, we received zero assistance or empathy. To our surprise, it was still perfectly possible to book multiple rooms via their website. Furthermore, pool towels can only be picked up and returned during very restricted hours at the reception. Don't bother asking the reception to call a taxi for you either; they refuse to do so and won't even explain how to get one yourself. The same go-figure attitude applies to parking information. The overall message was basically: figure it out yourself. Unbelievable lack of service. Would not recommend.
Ok - all inclusive package could be better
Had a problem with our original room, our first night we had just settled in amd discovered there were cockroaches roaming about the room! Ran to reception and the girl looked beyond shocked, and immediately gave us a new room in a different block, and higher up off the ground. Very accomodating and quick to help us with our issue. First room was on the ground floor, and honestly not that clean. Our second room was spotless and we had no further issues with roaches (we werent aware they were a big problem on the island). We stayed for a week which cost the guts of €2k so we were expecting more than a dirty room with roaches...
On top of that, we had issues with people shouting/slamming doors and banging noises almost every night ar all hours of the night, children ringing random doorbells/knocking on doors and running away laughing in the middle of the night. Very annoying when youre paying for a relaxing holiday and have that at 2-3am.
The food was nice, nice selection of various cuisines which changed nearly every day. The drinks were ok - didnt go near the cocktails as they looked awful even for an all inclusive they were bad. The drink selection for all inclusive was quite poor, only like 2 beers on draft. Very sugary juice nothing fresh, and spirits were limited and local only. Youd have to pay for any name brands. Pool was lovely and clean, and a nice cool temperature. Its hard to get a sunbed as people reserve them as early as 7am! There are toilets by the pool but they reek of sewage despite being clean. I also spotted roaches in there so I avoided those bathrooms.
The buffet hall had a bad issue with flies, and the heat that accumulated in there was crazy! They could do with some AC in there, as the grill is going constantly, and the doors are open all day.
Hotels location was good quite central with lots of bars/food options near by, with the beach and busses to big attractions i.e Palmitos park a 5 min walk from the hotel.
Overall, was a nice stay with lovely staff, clean(ish) facilities and a very safe enviornment in the compound. Drinks could be slightly better.

Meh, it’s okay i guess. Standard all inclusive.
Overall, as a family we would rate this a 5/10. The hotel rooms are good, spacious and have good air conditioning. The bathrooms are nice and they have a tv and a mini fridge in the room. The maids are as good as you expect. Although the cupboard in my room smelt like someone had went for a number 2 with a hint of mould.
Where the hotel lacks is that there are no inflatables or balls allowed in the pool. There is a male lifeguard who takes his job too seriously and we nick name him the ‘fun police’. He tells you off for having any sort of these items in the pool. One time he physically jumped into the pool and taken an inflatable away from a child who was later seen crying. We played with a small ball in the pool and the lifeguard came rushing over telling us to put it away because it is not allowed even though there is a whole water polo match going on besides us.
There are also strange lone males who hang around the pool area. One old man sits on the same sun bed everyday and gets involved with the children when they are playing games, then leaves the pool area when the adult games start. There is another male who we believed was a tourist also looking at the children but he seems local and had a dog. He along with the male previously mentioned speak to each other and point and look in the direction of children.
Everything in the hotel closes at 11pm so it is more suitable for families. Food finishes at 21:30 which is somewhat reasonable. As an 18 year old who has never drank before i rate the drinks a 4/10. i thought the alcohol would be somewhat strong but it tastes like it has been watered down.
The all inclusive menu is a 50/50 risk if the menu is good or bad. Every time you sit down from rushing to get your food a swarm of flies try and take over your plate with the flies infesting the fruit area. The glasses and cutlery are also not cleaned very well or at all and were dirty 90% of the time we came and had dinner in the hotel.
There is also free wifi, however it dips in and out depending where you are in the hotel and when you do have signal it’s extremely poor.
Check out is good with it being at 12:00 Hours and it is also not too expensive to keep the room on.
The location is probably the best part about this hotel as it is a 10 minute walk from the beach and restaurants.
The pool tables (which is the most important part of the hotel) are wonky and dip to one side with holes and tears in the table.
The painting fell off and all the electrics were exposed.
The staff speaks for themselves.
The only good thing about dinner is the chocolate fountain.
The pool is small and it can become over crowded at times. And the deep end isn’t deep.
Btw i’m writing this and i have two flies surrounding me and landing on my legs…
