Sandos San Blas Nature Resort and Golf

My second stay at this hotel. the first one was great. I came back after 5 months and I couldn't believe how much things had changed for the worse.
when entering the room, there is a stench from the sewage. Right after arrival, I go for dinner. At 9 p.m., I find a lot of empty plates instead of food, not even french fries! The food also has a very average taste, monotonous dishes.
the lake, which is the hotel's recognition point, is full of garbage, no cleaning.
I am a regular guest of this chain, each hotel leaves its regular customers a small welcome gift, a very nice thing, but there is nothing like that in this hotel.
It is also a very bad idea to take all inc wristbands when checking out, this was the first time I encountered this in a hotel of this brand.
A big plus for great animations, good drinks and very nice service.
To sum up, the hotel currently deserves 3 stars in my opinion, I think the people managing this hotel have changed over the past 5 months because I came back there with pleasure and was very disappointed.

Big disappointingly!!!

Lovely week spent at hotel. The food was very good and plenty of options. Unfortunately limited options for gluten free and our little one ended up having pasta almost everyday which had to be cooked. Would have been nice to have a pizza option. 
Staff were very polite and helpful all round.  Special mention to kids club and entertainment staff Marine, Bea, Víctor,  lynn, Ameria who were all great with our grandson Jax. He loved it.   Not forgetting a massive thank you to the lovely waiter Jose ramon at the breeze bar restaurant. He was so lovely and very helpful. These staff definitely made a difference to our stay so we want that to be acknowledged.

People slating this hotel need a reality check!!  The value for money is amazing. YES you are a little bit out from the holiday madness...we liked that! Yes it is close to the airport....your annoying children can track the incoming flights...YES there are different levels of all inclusive ....you get what you pay for so if you want Royal level...pay  Royal Level.....but trust me the all inclusive ticks the boxes.  The food in the buffet restaurant is excellent...great choice and changes daily. The through the day food is a bit hit or miss especially from the snack bar but the kids love it....hot dogs, nuggets, fries, burgers etc. For the price we paid it was excellent value for money. The attention to detail was good too...it was our sons birthday on day 2 and we got a bottle of fizz, a cake and card.....it's the little things that count..... keep up the good work Barcelo 🎈💙🎈💙

I like to complain but can't 

Arrived here for a week on June 21st and decided on this one after staying other Barcelo resorts in the past (Barcelo Santiago, Tenerife and Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar).   We arrived at the hotel at around 12pm and the reception staff were very helpful and happy and looked after our cases while we went to explore and have a chill out by the pool.   
The first thing we noticed was how big the resort was and the walk from reception down to the far end is quite a way although was downhill, however, if you have any difficulties walking about then this my prove to be an issue.
We got a couple of loungers by the main pool and then the entertainment in the pool began which was so loud, not just your chilled out aqua gym that you get at other hotels, but a full on rave in the water which made it difficult for us to relax so we went on an explore and we found a spot on a quiet pool next to the breeze pool bar where we spent the rest of the holiday.
Our room was lovely and spacious and very clean, however, I had requested a high room and one that got the afternoon and evening sun, but we got given a low room with no afternoon/evening sun.    
The evening entertainment was all held outside by the main pool bar as the entertainment room inside the hotel was being used to show some of the Euro 2024 football.  I found it a bit too chilly and windy outside in the evening so we ended up chilling out in the B lounge bar where they had chilled out live singers every evening and football on the TV.   The staff were so attentive here and were always asking us if we wanted another drink.
I found the food choice to be really good compared to other all inclusive holidays I have gone on in the past but a bit disappointed that the food by the breeze bar was included in this.  All that AI guests got during the day was a few chicken nuggets or a hot dog from the food shack near the main pool which to be honest was a free for all whether all inclusive or not.
My only criticism of this hotel was the noise in the evening.  The walls in our room were paper thin so could hear the conversation from next door during the night and the entertainment in the evening was so loud that even with all doors shut and our TV on you could feel yourself shaking with the bass and then because we were on a low room, everyone walked past our room at night shouting and enjoying themselves which is great for them (not so much for us).  On one night a few late night revellers were jumping in and out of the pool and shouting and swearing and then at 4am the music at the pool bar came at a proper concert volume!  I looked out and almost every rooms light had come on whilst people had come out to see what was going on.  This carried on for about 10 minutes until the maintenance guys came and sorted it.
So, all in all it was a lovely break and the staff were great, just not as relaxing and peaceful as i had experienced at Barcelo hotels in the past so probably wouldn't choose to come back here again.
