We think the hotel was very clean and the staff was very good would go out there way to help us .the facility were excellent and the receptionist where very helpful when we need things.the location was in a really good places was near things we want to use

Very good hotel

Hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we found the food very basic,and was never hot, it was so bad we ate out at restaurants for most of our two weeks there.
Having to pay 2 euros 50 for water with your meals was a joke, and insult.
The cleaning staff were lovely and very friendly, however staff in the restaurant were not,in fact most of them were none verbal when you spoke to them.
I would definitely go back to Tenerife again,but not to the troya unless it improves it's services, and staff listen to and take notice when people make a complaint .

Very disappointing

Last year the coach was dropping people off at their hotels, we pulled into hotel troya enterance  & I thought, wow, this looked a really lovely hotel. So this year we booked the hotel. We was there 7 nights. The hotel is nice & clean, with lovely friendly staff. The food was OK,  rooms were cleaned every day, what a lovely outside bar area. The location is fantastic,  right on the beach. There are 2 pools, 1 is heated & the other is cold water. There is a really nice terrace area too. What a lovely hotel. Most definitely a good choice

What a lively hotel

Just back from a lovely stay at this hotel was a tad concerned with some of the reviews we read but all in all a very nice hotel great location lovely and clean rooms had everything we needed lovely pillows good air con didn’t come across any rude staff all very nice I think our only niggle would be the food could be hotter often cold scrambled eggs in morning etc which is a shame as it all tasted lovely also with the show cooking for example one chef cutting pork and giving out the other chef was doing pasta and cooking fish and steak long waiting times for these food types but wouldn’t put us off coming back so not that bad lol

Lovely hotel

Me and my wife have just returned from 9 days at this hotel.
We arrived at 10pm after a delay in Manchester. First impressions were great, the hotel was lovely and clean, the reception staff checked us in quickly. The room on the 7th floor was OK, nice and clean with everything we needed. We went downstairs and were disappointed to find that there was no food waiting for us. OK we wernt expecting anything hot but a cold platter would have been at least something. After complaining we received a ham and cheese sandwich with no butter. The bar area was located outside as was the entertainment area. The outside terrace was lovely and clean, the bar staff spoke little English but always smiled and were always helpful.
Over the course of our stay, we did find the bar service a little slow especially during the day. One thing that could be improved on is at the outside snack bar where menus on the tables or on the wall would be helpful. The pool area was great. We loved the heated outdoor pool. The animation staff do a great job but surely it would be better to stagger there days off rather than all being off at the same time on a Saturday. Overall the entertainment was pretty good tbh. We especially enjoyed the foam party, the daytime games and most of the evening acts were of a decent standard. Worst thing for us was the food, we found it to be mostly cold so we did eat out quite alot. Some of the restaurant staff wernt very engaging either and we're quite miserable tbh. The hotel is also just across the road from the Veronica's strip which makes a good nites sleep virtually impossible as the noise even with the balcony door closed is deafening and goes on until at least 6am every nite. I know the hotel can't do anything about this but if your a light sleeper then it will definitely cause a problem. This hotel is probably best suited to younger people rather than older ones tbh which is a shame because in general it is a nice place, it just needs a full improvements here and there

Nice but not great
